Hattie arriving with her father and stepfather came as a bittersweet surprise for Charlie. The man stared at the woman before him and would be lying if he denied any feeling that she was not the girl he left back in the hospital in England. Nobody had told him that she was taken into foster care because they knew it would only upset and worry him but reassured him that Hattie had only misplaced the diary when he questioned why she was not replying.

Hattie immediately dove into his arms letting him picked her up and cradle her like a child. She nuzzled her head into his neck and refused to move from there on. So much so, Sirius and Remus' departures consisted of an uncomfortable hug with the redhead who was carrying Hattie. It wouldn't have been so uncomfortable if she was on the floor but because of the body formation her elbows and knees pressed into them.

As soon as they left, Charlie, after being informed of the situation, sat himself on the sofa, still holding tightly onto Hattie. He couldn't quite believe that she was with him. "Oh, baby girl, if I'd have known I would have snuck you out ages ago," he mumbled into her ear.

"I've missed you so much, Charlie," Hattie told him, lifting her head from his shoulder and staring at him in the eyes. "More than anyone."

The man smiled softly, brushing the loose curls that had fallen over her face. "I've missed you so much too, Hat, I haven't stopped thinking about you. I can't lie, I've been dreading any letter or patronus that I receive from the family because I was so scared that it would be to tell me that you've relapsed or worse-"

"Charlie, I'm okay now," Hattie cut him off, placing her hands on his cheeks forcing him to look at her after his head dropped to look at his lap, tears pricking the corner of his eyes. Hattie grinned reassuringly, "in fact I've never felt better. Of course, I was scared witless when Barton came and tried to take me away even further from home but now I'm here with you I feel like nothing can hurt me. Not even myself because of you Charlie. You may not have gone about it the proper way, and perhaps, it was my fault that you didn't but overall you were the one that has got me to this place in my life. If it want for you I would be six feet under in a wooden onesie. But no, I'm here, in Romania, with you." She grazed her thumb over his cheeks as some tears fell.

"It wasn't for me you had others-"

"No. Shut up. It was you. Yes, Seamus caught me, but you were the one that came all of the way from here to Hogwarts to get help and try and stop me. Charlie, you are the best thing in my life right now and I love you. You're my older brother. You've been there for me through the thick, the thicker and thickest and thin, thinner and thinnest. I don't want to hear you say otherwise because to me you're my everything. Not in a, uh, boyfriend and girlfriend relationship way, but in a, um, I don't know how to put it, but you get the idea. Okay?"

Charlie snickered, nodding his head and sniffing as he stopped crying. "Merlin, I love you Hattie. You were my first sister, you might not be blood but you always were. Mum, you and Ginny are my top girls and no one can be placed above you three. And I know Bill, Percy, Fred, George and Ron all feel the same as I do. Ginny see's you as her sister too. Everything that you have gone through played a massive toll on a lives. Bill came to me when you first were in St Mungo's, he cried because he didn't notice. He hated himself because he couldn't do anything to save you from yourself. But do you know who else came to me?"

"No."

"Sirius. He thanked me for trying my best. Yes, he had a go at me because I didn't tell anyone but he then said that because I didn't you were saved. He thought that if I had told someone you would have tried killing yourself sooner. Baby girl, he might not have been the worlds greatest dad, because that goes to my dad, sorry Hun, but he cares. He has always loved you and even though he did a crap job of showing it he did. Darling, you play a bigger part in our large, crazy family, more so than you may think. Everyone has been at wits end because of this all because they hated how they didn't notice it. But I can tell you right now that we are all tremendously proud and happy at how brave you have been and are being."

Hattie wiped her eyes and nodded her head. Hearing Charlie's words was like a weight being lifted from her shoulders. She felt awful for everything she had put everyone through but at the same time she didn't. Finally she would be putting herself first. She needed to get better and despite all of the Bumble's help, being with Charlie will hopefully help her more. She was finally at peace.

"I'm sorry," Said Hattie, her voice barley coherent only a mere whisper that could be easily mistaken as the wind.

Charlie raised her chin, "don't apologise, baby girl, because you have only shown us that we need to be more observant and careful with our actions. Now, shall we have some lunch, you must be hungry." Hattie nodded her head. "What do you want?"

"Anything."

"That's what I like to hear! How about we have a good ole' bacon butty and then I'll take you to see Jojeen and Winnie?"

"Will Gilbert be there?"

"Probably, Why?"

Hattie smiled, "I've missed Gilbert too! He helped me remember?"

"Ah yes, with your monthlies," Charlie chuckled, lifting Hattie off of his lap and stretching. He wandered out of the living room and to his kitchen, Hattie padding along behind him. "I like Gilbert. Was he a Hufflepuff?"

Charlie raised his eyebrows, "Slytherin, I think."

"Even better!"
