Nathaniel:

I've been working too hard. I have punched my card at least fifty thousand times. Well it feels like that.

Luke has me working in the police station. People come to me each day, they pay tickets and ask for permits and stuff like that. If there is a crime in the streets I can be the one to arrest the guy.

So far I haven't seen any of my family. Over the past two days, Luke has kept me away from them. It's weird. Also, he won't tell me where Azun is. I have tried his cell phone and email, but nothing.

I am not even getting payed for this job. I find it strange that I have to punch a card if I never get payed for my time.

I think I am so cool, with my little police hat and handcuffs. Keeping the law... it's cool. I am not that much of a rebel anyways, so this job fits me.

"Nathaniel." Luke walks into my office. "Lock up, I'm taking you to the family."

"Really?" I smile. "Is Azun there?"

"Sorry." Luke patted my head. "But I called Azun and he said he didn't care that you have woken up."

"He did?" My heart is full of sorrow.

"Yes." Mike nodded, waking in behind Luke.

I gazed at the ground. I thought Azun would want to see me, guess brother forever was just a lie.

"Now now." Luke snapped his fingers. "Lets go."

Our house was just as I remembered it. In our backyard there was a party set up. I really hope it was for me!

Boy was I right! Luke had planned a whole party just for my awakening. I can't believe that I fell into a coma that long. I believe everything Luke tells me about what happened while I was out for a month.

"Nathaniel?" Ames looks more matured then usual. "Why is your hair blond?"

"Luke said it would look better." I sighed.

"You dyed his hair?" Ames walks over to Luke. "A word please."

The two walk off and I am left with my siblings. They all look different then I remember. But I know time is different here on Malison, our world could spin fast or slow, it could even move around our sun in a different matter.

I looked at all my sibling who had changed so much. I found it weird that I have barely changed at all, maybe that's what a coma does.

Ames for instance, had grown taller and more muscles. Mike's eyes looked older, wiser. Dustan was back as well, he was at least a year older, he looked nineteen. Jasper, Embler, Aspen and Larkin had all matured and all their hairs was longer. Arielle and Vestry were nowhere to be found. I didn't see Azun either, I thought he might make a surprise visit.

"How are you feeling Nathaniel?" Aspen felt my forehead. "Feverish?"

"I feel fine." I stared at them. "It was just a short coma."

Why were they all staring at me like I was just raised from the dead. Comas are nothing, they shouldn't of even been worried.

"Do you guys know if Azun-"

"Azun is gone." Larkin interrupted. "Forget about him."

Now I know something is up. They were all trying way to hard to shine upon me and cover up something. I just couldn't quite remember what.

"First order of business." Luke came back to the party. Ames slowly followed him, hesitant to walk in his steps. "Dustan, I think you should stop bothering me about your ideas."

"But Luke you promised." Dustan stated.

"I lie." Luke teased. "You should know that by now."

"I am your new leader." Mike stated. "King of all on Malison, and I promote Luke to be my second, Ames to be my secretary, and Aspen to be the treasury and Nathaniel to be my general."

"You are leaving me out of this on purpose." Dustan argued. "We had a compromise on an election."

"We don't need an election." Luke spat.

"An election sounds like a great idea." I interrupted, everyone looked at me. "I mean, Luke, you are quite confident with Mike winning this election, right?"

"Correct." Luke nodded.

"Then why not let Dustan do his election against you two. Winner takes all."

"Deal." Luke turned to Dustan. "You are going down. I elect Mike, what about you?"

"Ames." Dustan states.

"Ha!" Luke laughed. "Ames is loyal to me, he would never-"

"I agree." Ames walks over to Dustan.

"What?" Luke says.

"I agree." Ames repeats himself. "Unless you are too chicken to run against me?"

"Never."

"Alright then." Dustan directs us. "Everyone choose a side. Wining team gets to govern and rule Malison."

I jump with Dustan. There is something shady about Luke and Mike that I just don't trust. Until I get answers, I am staying with who Azun knew best, Dustan.

With me are: Dustan, Ames, Jasper and Larkin.

The debate is on, the parties are set. Luke and Dustan send word to the people that the election is in session and voting will commence immediately.
