Chapter 3: The Moral Of This Story

◢✥◣POV: Third Person◢✥◣

Once upon so long ago, an Angel walked down a long hallway. His heart was filled with hope, with love. He walked that hallway hoping the Demon he was looking for felt the same way.

That Angel only never saw the Demon for what he was, he only saw him as a boy. He saw him as a boy who had made mistakes. He thought that maybe he could help him out of that hole the Demon had dug himself into.

The Angel looked for the Demon day and night for an entire week. With each passing day that Angel felt his heart and his hope crush a little more with each second that he was away from the Demon.

One day, that Angel finally found the Demon. The Angel found the Demon in his very own room. The Angel had persuaded to give the Demon his hand. The Angel's plan was, no matter how the Demon answered, to write "I love you" on his palm.

The Angel thought he had known exactly what the Demon could answer. It was either yes or no. Those were easy answers. Those were solid answers. There was no doubt, no confusion, no lies.

The Angel was devastated that day.

The Demon did not give him a solid answer, a sure answer, a truthful answer.

◢✥◣

That Angel now stands in the same long hallways he was when his heart was full of love and happiness. The Angel now makes his way through that hallway composed.

He didn't cry.

He didn't slouch.

And he never looked back at that room.

But if you were to look in his eyes, you would be able to see the shatters of his heart reflected in them.

The Angel walked down the hall and up to the roof where he had first realized his feelings for the Demon. To him, that felt like years ago. This was only a week. The Angel walked over to the ledge and sat down. He folded his wings behind him and pulled his knees to his face where he rested his chin. It looked like his pure white wings were waterfalls pouring out of his back.

The Angel had heard the door to the roof open and he flinched. He huddled his wings a little closer to himself. He hoped that he could pass unnoticed by them.

He watched the feet of the Demon walk closer and closer.

"Hey." The Demon had made his presence known.

"What do you want?" The Angel hissed, seething with anger. He never wanted to see the Demon's perfect face again.

"Can you just give me one more chance?" The Demon pleaded with the Angel.

"Of course not." The Angel huffed.

"Just give me a chance to tell you the truth. Please..." He whispered the last plea.

The Angel bit his tongue and decided to stay silent for the time being. Finally, the Demon had the courage to say something. He said in a voice so low it was nearly inaudible, "I made a mistake. I'm sorry." The Angel scoffed and stood up to face the Demon. He jabbed the Demon boy with his finger, "Mistakes are made, but I don't want to afford to have them made again."

The Demon grabbed the Angel's hand, "please just a chance. That is all I'm asking for. A single chance." The Angel pulled his hands gently out of the Demon's and placed them at his side. "No, if you cannot be truthful to me the first time then I can't trust you to always be honest with me. I wish I could, but too many liars of the past have come and gone. I can't afford another heartbreak."

The Angel turned away from the Demon and sat back down.

The Demon walked over to the other side of the roof and sat down as well. They both had their chins rested on their knees. Both of their wings looked like waterfalls. Waterfalls of the emotions they were suppressing.

They both loved and longed for the other.

But they both knew that it could never work.

It was just as the Angel had said, they would never be able to fully trust the other.

◢✥◣

Finally, the Angel felt something. The war that was raging between his heat and his head had a victor.

He stood up and turned to the Demon. He began making his way across the rooftop. He reached where the Demon was sitting, and he sat down next to him.

The Angel placed his head on the Demon's shoulder. He said, "The war between my heart and my mind has a victor." The Demon asked which had won. The Angel lifted his mouth to the Demon's ear. He whispered.

"My heart."

I, uh, hope this was a good enough ending for you guys...

I hope Alysium75 got her fair share of Scorpio and Leo to feed her thirst for it. (I doubt it, she has a legit hunger for it)

And I hope everyone got to cry at least one point in this story.

I have a little surprise for everyone who loved this tragic (kinda) love story.

I have another coming.

And it'll be much much longer than this one.

It's called Kill To Clean.

Description:

Every single person is the same. Every single Cleaner comes and goes. Every single lover is murdered by their own so-called "lover".

M is a murderer. He goes through countless lovers in a single month. He's addicted to the gleam of betrayal in his partner's eyes. He waits until they finally speak those three forbidden words, "I love you." He finds those feeble words amusing. And M certainly has no intention of speaking them. Ever.

Dakota is stolen from his home. With his grandmother, he works under M's supervision. His grandmother is the Cleaner who takes care of the bloodstains M leaves behind him wherever he steps, and Dakota will take over for her when she grows too old. For the time being, Dakota fills in as an assistant who helps out whenever he can.

These two snarky and stubborn characters are thrust together in a thrilling love story with twists and turns and betrayal meeting them at every corner.

Well, I hope you guys would be willing to give that story a fair shot. I only have half of the first chapter done, but I am in love with how it's turning out. I can't wait to publish the first chapter!

Bye guys!!
