Bruh Girl

Samriddhi's pov

'New day brings new hope.' They said, but I didn't find anything on this new day. It's Sunday, and Henry will probably show up again today. Agh!!! Why is this happening to me? I don't understand.

First, I have to take care of my family, and now he too. I have to face him again, not just today but most likely every day. I can't run away from him every time. This is my home, and I can't leave it to avoid Henry.

But that irritating person just shows his face everywhere. Whether it's my workplace, my house, or any other place in this whole city, why is he always everywhere? Now that I am completely mad, only pulling my own hair is left.

I think I have to clear things up with him, or I can't live like this. Yes, it sounds great. I will definitely talk to him. This must stop. No, this needs to be stopped right away.

I was drowning in my own thoughts when someone hugged me from behind in my sitting position.

"Morning, my lovely sister."

I know that voice, but why is he here? I slapped his arm, and he winced in pain. A hiss left his mouth, and he shook his arm.

"What are you doing here?" I asked Richard. Yes, it's Richard Casanova Brown.

"I came here to meet my dear sister, but this is not fair." He replied while showing his arm.

"Then you should be within your limits." I replied while getting up from my seat.

"Hey, sit where you think you are going." He said while pulling me back on my seat, "And I'm the way I'm with my loved ones."

"Excuse me?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I might be a Casanova for the world, not just because I'm also a ladies' man or a womanizer. But I don't give a shit about those people. I care for those who are important to me, and my dear, fearless sister, you are one of them now, and I always greet my family like this, so you should get used to it." He replied, smiling.

"I'm not." I only said those two words.

"Huh?"

"You don't even know me. How could you give me the place of your family, and moreover, I don't trust  you?"I replied.

He exhaled in defeat and then said, "I clearly see you have trust issues, but it's ok, I don't blame you for that." He paused for a brief moment, then continued.
"Look Samriddhi I think you don't know, but this world is full of terrible people, and trust me, I met with so many of them, and you are the best person I ever saw in my life. You are intelligent, foregiving, smart, independent, and caring. You are kind to those who are good to you and can be cruel to those who don't deserve your kindness. You are respectful, kind, bold, fierce, loyal, charming, and self-settled. Oh, my sweet Jesus, for the first time, I'm out of words to describe a person." He said the last part with a scrunched nose, which looks cute.

I chuckled at his remarks. I was about to say something when he cut me.

"Ah, no, I'm not done yet. So where was I? Ah! Yes, remember, so I was out of words for your praise, right? If you don't trust me, I'm OK with that. You can take your time, and I'll do everything to gain your trust. And you know what? After my brothers, you are the only one who criticizes me for my reckless behavior. Isn't that complaining? In fact, I like it because, in a world full of mean and flattering people, you choose to be yourself and stand for what is right over my family's name and reputation. I respect that; that's why you are my family now. Will you accept me or  not?"He hugged me again. "You are my sister, and I'm your spoiled little brother."

"Boundaries. " I smacked him again and stood up from my seat.

"Whatever. " He said this while settling in a place where I was sitting. "Where are you going?"

"To get you something, well, what would you like to have? Black coffee?" I asked.

"No, you don't need to be formal; I'll have whatever you are having." He replied, gesturing towards my cup.

"Well, that's tea, Indian tea. If you like to have?" I asked.

"I love to do experiments. Come on, hit me," he replied.

"I would love to have a coffee." There is another voice. I turned, and it was Vihaan. "Your brother praised your coffee every time we had one. In fact, he didn't like Starbucks as much as he likes yours."

"Really? I don't know that you are such a great chef, and who is he?" Richard said this to me and asked about Vihaan.

"He is Kohli Aunty's nephew." I replied to Richard and said to Vihaan, "I'm not a great chef; it's just my brother who likes to exaggerate."

"So he is your brother?" Richard asked about Vihaan again.

"No, I'm not her brother; I'm Namrita's brother, and her brother and I are good friends." Vihaan replied this time.

"Oh, nice to meet you, man. I'm Richard Brown." Richard offered his hand, which Vihaan took as "pleasure to meet you; I'm Vihaan Kohli." They both settled and started talking, and I got inside to make coffee for them.

Hannah came into the kitchen with her sleepy eyes. "Morning," she said, yawning.

"Morning, sleepy head," I replied.

"Thanks for making coffee for me." She said it sweetly while hugging me from behind.

"I'm not making it for you, but you can have it." I replied.

"Then for whom are you making coffee?"

"Richard came and..."

"He is here." She didn't even let me finish and run outside.

When I stepped outside with coffee, they were chatting, and Nimii Dii also woke up, and Kohli Aunty was also back from the temple.

Kohli Aunty and I both had tea, and the rest of them were having their coffee.

Taking the first sip, Richard moaned.
"UMmmmmm, wow, that's a hell of a coffee. You were right, man." He said this to Vihaan. Which he replied with a chuckle.

"Coffee is really nice. I should say that Abhinav was right all the time." Vihaan said to me, I only replied with a nod.

We were all having our morning beverages with a bunch of laughs and chatter when a car stopped in front of Kohli Aunty's porch.

It's none other than the devil. Kal was the first one who stepped out of his car and came to me. I gave him a cookie and ruffled his hairy head.

"I thought you were having golf with James?" Richard questioned him.

"And I thought you were out of town?" He questioned Richard.

First of all, he greets Kohli Aunty, to which she replies very lovingly as always, which I hate most.

Second, he greets me, to which I only reply with a nod for the sake of the people around me.

Then he greets Hannah and Nimii Dii, and both brothers share a hug as always.

Last, he turned toward Vihaan but didn't say anything. Vihaan introduced himself: "Hey, I'm Vihaan Kohli. We didn't introduce it last night." Vihaan offered him his hand, which he took and introduced himself: "Henry Brown. Nice to meet you."

"You two are brothers?" Vihaan asked, pointing towards both of the brothers.

"Unfortunately, yes, we are." Richard replied dramatically and was gifted with a kick by his brother.

I got up from my seat, but Richard interrupted, "Where do you think you are going?"

"Coffee for Mr. Brown," I replied.

"We have an extra cup of coffee; he can have this," Richard said.

"There is sugar in this," I replied.

"It's ok, I can have this." He replied while taking the coffee from the table and sipping it.

On the other hand, Richard is making expressions as if he had seen a ghost or something.

Then my phone rang, and I excused myself.
"Sorry, I have to take this; it's urgent."

Richard's pov

Oh, my sweet Jesus!!! I can't believe this, my brother; he is having a coffee with sugar and milk. Am I dreaming or something? I can't believe my own eyes. Is it what people say that a person does for his love?

He doesn't seem to fall in love that easily. It's just an attraction, I guess, but that fucking attraction is too much to do the weird things done by my brother, quoted in double commas.

I must say he got interested in someone after a very long time after that incident. He was never very interested in his past relationships or the way he did things for Samriddhi. It's the first time.

Well, I don't blame him for that. Samriddhi is the kind of person who can attract anyone. Thinking about their future, a smile formed on my lips. If it is meant to happen, who knows, right? Well, if something does happen between them, then I'll be the happiest person.

Of course, I would do well if my sister got a person like Henry. He will definitely make her happy her whole life, and if my brother gets a partner like Samriddhi, then he will be the luckiest person alive on this planet.

Because she is the most beautiful soul I have ever seen in my life. Then my thoughts came to a halt when her phone rang and her ringtone echoed. It's the office intro.

Oh my God, do the girls really watch these kinds of shows? She excused herself, and then Mrs. Kohli said, "I think it's work."

"But it's Sunday, and I'm sure her bank was off on weekends." I asked.

"No, she has another business to take care of." Namrita answered.

"Is she a businesswoman? Wow, I didn't know that." Really, I'm impressed. There's no doubt why my brother is interested in her.

"She has a central perk-themed cafe in her hometown. She takes care of that and does her job too." Vihaan replied, There is a sudden change in my brother's body. I frowned a little. What's going on?

"No doubt that's why she makes such great coffee." I said.

I was impressed.

"She didn't work there. She owns it. That's not the reason for tasty coffee; the reason is that she is best at her work." Henry answered bluntly.

Oh, dear brother, what's happening to you? Isn't I complaining or something? In fact, I like it so fucking much.

"OK, children, I'm going to make breakfast for you. You guys carry on." Mrs. Kohli said to go.

"Wait, Chachii, I'll help you." Vihaan said to go with her.

"Oh, my God. I never heard anything like this from her, but you make my heart happy. You don't need to do that; I'll manage. You sit with them." Mrs. Kohli replied while eying Namrita, to which she only replied by sticking her tongue out. We all giggled at her gestures.

They are both gone, and we are all back to Henry.

"Coffee with milk and sugar, brother, are you okay or do we need to call a doctor?" I asked mockingly, and both girls burst out laughing along with me.

"Fuck off." He cussed.

"Why don't you talk to her if you like her?" I asked.

"It's none of your business." He replied bluntly.

"Well, it is because she is my sister now." I replied with a grin.

"Careful there, Richard; don't play with fire." Namrita said it in a warning tone.

"She wears a MOTHER OF DRAGONS t-shirt; that doesn't mean she is fire and blood." I replied casually, and yes, she wore a Mother of Dragons logo t-shirt today.

I noticed this thing: she always wears cool nerdy t-shirts.

"Trust me, she is, because she definitely has an issue with the male community. Be within your limits; otherwise, she will never think twice before eating you alive." Namrita replied.

To which I replied with a chuckle.
"She is not like others," Henry said in a warning tone.

"I know, brother, and I eagerly wait for the day when she accepts you." I replied.

"We are all waiting for that day." Hannah replied, taking a deep breath.

Then we all chattered about random things. All mean except for Henry, because he doesn't like to talk much. He sits there quietly.

I excused myself because I needed to use the restroom. When I entered her apartment, the door was unlocked. I was stunned by looking at the figure sitting in front of me.

Samriddhi is sitting on her couch with her laptop placed on the coffee table in front of her. She is doing some work on her laptop.

Her long hair is tied up into a high bun. She sits on the couch with one leg folded on the couch and the other resting on the floor. Her left hand is resting on her leg, which is resting on the floor. While she is holding her cell phone in her right hand.
She is sitting like a king.

Yes, A king. She is not a queen or a princess. Her sitting posture is screaming that she is a fucking king. Who never bends in front of anyone.

Her t-shirt has full sleeves that are hunched up to her elbows. She is so engrossed in her work that she doesn't realize I'm standing there.

I gained her attention by clearing my throat. She looked in my direction and asked me with her eyebrows. I mouthed for the direction of the restroom, not making any sound to disturb her. She showed me the way by pointing her fingers, and I left. I finished my job and came out. I didn't try to disturb her.

By the time breakfast was ready, we were all gathered together. Samriddhi also came back.

We are all having breakfast. When I noticed all the ladies were having their toast with a fork and knives, she was having it by her hands. Moreover, my dear brother, who has OCD, is watching her in Awww.

After breakfast, she left again. Her phone rang again. We were all sitting when Vihaan came with a picture album. It's Namrita's picture.

Then Samriddhi is also back. We are all watching Namrita's cute childhood pictures. Then her school, junior high, and also high school. Vihaan is passing funny comments on each one, and we are all laughing.

"Awww, Nimii dii, is this your prom night's picture?" Samriddhi asked, holding a picture.

"Yes, it is." Namrita replied.

"Wow!!! You were crowned the Prom Queen. You are looking beautiful." she said in awwwww.

"Lucky you because I don't even remember who was crowned prom king and queen because I was so damn drunk." Hannah said, laughing. Samriddhi made a face and shook her head at her remark.

"My prom night was so amazing," I said.

"You also won the prom king crown," Hannah asked.

"He doesn't give a damn about the crown. He was the only one in the history of our school who had five dates on prom night." Henry replied to Hannah.

"What?" And there came a series of gasps.

"Yeah," I replied proudly. "At least not as boring as yours brother."

Samriddhi muttered something under her breath and shook her head.

"What about you, Samriddhi? How was your prom night?" I asked her.

"Well, there is no such thing celebrated in Indian schools." Vihaan replied instead of her, which I don't like. I didn't ask him right, and I know Henry had the same feelings about him.

"Ummm, yes, it's true, but I always wished that prom nights happened in my school days too, because I loved them watching in American shows and movies." She replied with a small smile.

"It doesn't matter if they happen in India or not because you never went on a prom night anyway." Namrita said.

"Why?" Samriddhi asked with a frown.

"Because, sweety, you will never go on a date." Namrita replied, laughing.

"That's not true; you can enjoy prom night on your own." Vihaan said, defending Samriddhi.

"That's what she said." Samriddhi agreed.

"Of course, Michael Scott. You are always right." I replied to her teasingly.

She made a weird face at me and stuck her tongue out. Which is really cute, and I saw a smile on my brother's face seeing her like this.

"I had a great day, really." I said when it's time to go home, and honestly, I'm not lying. I never had that much fun in one day, and that without girls and booze.

I and Henry are both ready to leave when Namrita invites us to her birthday party this Wednesday. We both agreed and left.

Before leaving, I side-hugged her again. "See you later, sister." In return, I gain a smack from her again.

We were near our cars when Samriddhi ran after us. She had Kal's collar in her hand. I stopped for a moment, then stepped towards my car. I don't know why I felt like giving them some privacy.

"Mr Brown I need to clarify some things," she said. "Can we meet tomorrow?"

"I would love to, but I'm leaving for Boston tonight. I'll be back the day after tomorrow, and then we'll talk. If you don't mind. ", He replied.

"Okay." And she is gone.

"You can take her out right now. You know that." I said. He frowned. "I was not standing too far, and I have ears."

"Shut up, mind your own business." He warned me.

"Brother, are you sure about her?"

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"She is not a typical girl. She is not even like other girls. She is not a person who changes herself for someone else."I said.

"I know that, and I don't want her to change. I like her the way she is. And brother, you are saying all those things by just meeting her once; I've been seeing her for the past three months. I know all these things about her already, and that's what I like about her." He replied.

"Great. I'm happy for her and you, of course. But one thing I don't know if you noticed or not is that she is not a typical woman. She is a
BRUH GIRL."

He chuckled, and we both turned to our cars.

Like, share and comment.
