Unexpected Surprise
*Jack Frost's P.O.V
You know that pain you get when you accidently stub your toe ultra hard, but it only hurts for a couple minutes before going numb because you have already forgotten about the pain? Well this pain was just like that. For how intense the stab wound was and for how much blood I was loosing, all I could do was watch the man I loved, laugh at my pain and tell me how much he doesn't love me. He wasn't Hiccup, I know that, but the more he talks, the more my heart betrays me.
"You don't look so well, Jack." He said.
"Oh, and who's fault is that?" I managed, sweat beating my forehead and dripping to the movement of my head.
He curled his lips into a smile, looking at the wound with delight. I needed my staff to heal myself, but then what would I do? I can't hurt Jack Nightmare because then I would be hurting Hiccup.
"Oh that's right, my bad, I can make another hole if you'd like," he said.
I bit down on my lip, tasting the blood that dripped out of my mouth. "Like hell," I whispered. "But this isn't gonna stop me from getting Hiccup back." I told him, holding my side as I slowly stood up. Jack nightmare raised a brow at if impressed by my courage.
"Wow, so courageous," he said," but that will get you killed." He said.
I pressed the spot harder and looked him over. Hiccups body seemed skinnier than I last saw him, but his face still looked perfect. His glasses were no longer on and his eyes had a darker green tint to them. He looked so much like Hiccup that a second glance wasnt needed. But the truth was, Hiccup was no longer here, swallowed by the darkness that took me captive as well. It took me a while to realize, the power to control the possessed was from the original owner of the body. I smiled.
"Why are you smiling, have you hit rock bottom?" He asked.
"No," I told him. "Just found a way to beat you." Ignoring the wound, I raised a hand slowly at Hiccup as if not meaning or posing a threat. "Hiccup, listen to me, you have to fight this darkness."
Jack Nightmare laughed at the pathetic state I was in. "This is your solution? That's pitiful."
I ignored him, swallowing some blood that was in my mouth. "Hiccup, please, follow my voice. I need you to come back to me. Back to us." I told him. I coughed into my hand, seeing the blood spatters that stained my palm. Putting my hand in a fist, I continued, "come back to your mom, to toothless." I smiled. "I love you, Hiccup."
Jack Nightmare grunted in pain, holding his head, he dropped the knife. Just then, a giant screech entered the area and a line of fire lit the place up. I looked up to see Valka on the back of Toothless. A smile that I couldn't control stretched over my lips, making me happy. I looked back to see Jack Nightmare running up the stairs into a room, but my body gave out, making me drop back into someone's arms. I looked up to see it was Tooth. Her purple eyes filled with horror and yet seemed relieved.
"Jack, your side." She said.
I brought up a hand and waved it away. "Its fine, I... I just need to get this healed and by that I need my staff." I told her.
"Jack, your wrists," she grabbed them examining them in awe.
I ripped my hand from hers and tried to stand. "Whoa Jack, don't get up." She said.
"I need my staff and I need to help Hiccup. Please, get me up those stairs." She nodded her head, but finally gave in, throwing my arm over her head.
The dragons that were on Pitch's side, squealed and jumped off the walls, charging our way. One that had steel armor on, flew down, hurtling towards us at top speed. My eyes got wide and Tooth buried her face in my chest, screaming. A giant clank filled our ears. Toothless had pushed the dragon into another, roaring vigorously.
I smiled. "Thanks buddy," I said.
He smiled in return before shoving up at the oncoming dragons. I turned my attention to tooth and grabbed her shoulder with my free hand. "Hey, its okay, let's go." I told her.
She uncovered her face and saw that the dragon was no longer hurtling towards us. With that she sighed in relieve before carrying me up the stairs. She flew up there, knowing I was in no shape to walk up the stairs. As we approached the door, I saw my staff leaning up against the wall. I smiled happily, leaving Tooth's side, I ran over to it, gripping it in my hands. I felt the spider crawiling frost in me start powering me up. My body feeling a hundred times better. I looked down at my side and noticed the wound was covered in healing ice. I smiled.
"Jack, we need to meet the Berkians outside. They are waiting with dragons to fight." She said.
I looked up at her and nodded. I gripped her shoulder, but before I could get anything out, looked at me worriedly. "Your not going with me, are you?" She asked.
"I have to get Hiccup back," I told her truthfully. "Its my job to get him back, its your guy's job to make sure these dragons and Nightmares don't go into Burgess or anywhere else on Pitch's map." I told her. "I have a feeling the battle is just starting."
