The Promise
*Jack Frost
Everything seemed to drain from me. My will to fight, and go on was nowhere I could touch. Hiccups body lied on my lap as my hand was under the nape of his neck. The moonlight shined down on us, bathing us in its light. Hiccups eyes shot open, revealing dark deep red ones. His hand shot up and smashed my stomach in, making me let go of Hiccup and down in fetal position.
"I am not gone," he said, grabbing my hair, making me scream. "But your dragon dork sure is." He punched my face, but I couldn't feel anything. I am numb to the feeling. Numb to everything.
"What? No glorious comeback? No secret attacks?" He bent down. "Did Hiccup's death just destroy you?"
I felt more tears slowly fall onto my cheeks. He kicked my stomach and my side screamed in pain where he originally stabbed me.
"Are you giving up?" He asked, grabbing my white blue tipped hair and bringing of up. I screamed, bringing my hand up and grabbing his hand. "What a shame." I felt blood trickle the side of my mouth and my stomach throb to the point where I wanted to throw up.
"If your gonna kill me, then kill me." I whispered. "Otherwise stop toying with me."
He chuckled. "Fine you want death?" He asked, holding the knife up to my throat. "I will give you death." He slid the knife down one side of my throat and down to the middle of the chest. My scream was muffled from the strain my throat felt. He straightened the knife up and pointed it to my heart.
I closed my eyes. Maybe Hiccup will be waiting for me. I took a deep breath, waiting for the hot pain that never came. My hair was released and I fell ontomy hands. I coughed, hearing my blood drip from my chest. I opened my eyes and looked up, seeing Hiccups body had fallen to the ground. Nightmare sand was leaking out of the wound in his chest. I crawled over to him in confusion.
"What's happening?" I asked.
"Exactly what Pitch said would happen," he said lowly. "If I killed this body, I will be either its new owner or denied."
I raised a brow. "Denied?"
"That's what is happening to me. I'm not strong enough to take this body, so my existence is being erased."
My anger filled up, but my tears flowed harder. "You mean to tell me, you killed Hiccup on chance?!" I scareamed.
He chuckled. "Yup, but- UGH! I... I don't feel bad about it." His lips twitched, right before his eyes went glazy green. The sand was gone, but what lied in front of me, was a cold, dead Hiccup.
"No... You did this! Get back here and fix it!" I shouted, pounding Hiccups chest. "GET BACK HERE!"
You asked me to watch over Hiccup. A voice said into my mind. My tears stopped and I looked up to see the moon shining brighter.
"What?" I croaked.
You asked me to protect him. To keep an eye on him. Did you not? The voice asked.
"I did, but you didn't do a very good job." I said.
The light shone behind me, making me turn around. The light was almost blinding that it made me close my eyes and block it with my hand. The light felt almost familiar. As familiar as it was three hundred and three years ago.
I kept my promise. I protected him. He paused and the light died. I removed my hand slowly. Now he must protect others.
Everything drained from my body. Hiccup stood there, with a giant smile o. His face and armor surround his body. He looked like a new Hiccup.
"Look at you, all bloody and messed up. That's not the Jack Frost I know." He said.
I felt my body jolt with happiness. I lunged up and tackled him, both of us were on the ground.
"I thought I lost you! I thought you were dead!" I shouted.
He smiled, and ran his hand through my hair. "I would never leave you." He whispered. "Your my one and only." I lifted my head and stared at his face. He had his hair longer and his eyes bright green. He wore armor like a viking and a smile like the Hiccup I knew.
"I'm here." He pur his forehead to mine, "and here I will stay."
