Jack's confrontation

*3rd person P.O.V
This is a New Years Present! An extra chapter! Enjoy!

Hiccup closed the door behind him, glancing up to see Jack sitting cross legged on the thick ledge. Hiccup made his way to the ledge, crossing his arms in front of him to lean on it. The icy wind hit him like a brick to the face. The only thing he had on was a jacket and pants. Not okay for the weather ahead of him. But he tried ignore it.

"What are you doing out here?" Jack asked. "Its cold you should go inside."

Hiccup chuckled. "Your worrying about me? Should I be honored?" He asked sarcastically.

Jack turned around and smirked. "Do you want me to make you freeze? Your not exactly dressed for this weather." He said.

"Oh how scary," he said. He scanned Jack who had his attention ahead of him. "I could say the same about you."

Jack chuckled, turning around to face Hiccup. "I am a winter spirit. I cant feel the cold. It doesn't bother me since I am a cold being." He said.

"You are not a cold being, you may have cold powers but you are not cold." Hiccup said, shivering under the cold moonlight. He hid his hands in his pocket and rested his head on the ledge. They stayed silent for what seemed like a century in awkwardness. Hiccup stared at the stars as they twinkled in the clear sky.

"You know getting my memories back, I really was a coward." Jack said, breaking the silence.

Hiccup knitted his eyebrows, looking at Jack with a concerned look. "What?" He asked.

Jack closed his eyes and sighed in a big breath. "I am a coward. I let the darkness take over because I was afraid of rejection. I practically let the darkness in a second time." Jack said, jumping off of the ledge.

"Jack you aren't a coward! You just were afraid, I've had that feeling before, Jack its a normal feeling." He said. "But it was all Pitch's fault for the darkness, not yours." Hiccup said, watching Jack walk towards the door.

He turned around quickly. "I doubt you had the same feeling as me!" He shouted, making Hiccup's eyes go wide. "The feeling I had when my memories came back is undescribable! I almost killed people, Hiccup! I doubt you have suffered the darkness I did and I doubt you will!" He shouted before opening the door to the palace and walked in, slamming the door without another word. Hiccup stood there shocked at what just happened.

He watched his breath became colder. His mind raced with what had happened. Knowing Jack for as long as he did, he never saw Jack this upset before. He has only ever seen the annoying and sweet version of Jack. It was probably his memory gain.

Hiccup sucked in air and continued toward the door.

"Pretty cold out, don't you think?" A British voice said from behind him.

Hiccup turned around, seeing someone with his leg crossed and his hands on folded. His black hair slicked back away from his thin face. He smiled at Hiccup.

"And you are?" Hiccup asked, feeling suspicious.

He smirked. "Just someone who wants to talk about dear ole Jack Frost." He said.

"You didn't answer my question," Hiccup said. "Who are you?" Hiccup stepped forward.

He saw the man in black chuckle, lifting his finger Hiccup felt his mouth become bound with black sand. His body was also bounded. The man in black leaned forward. "Who am I? My name is Pitch Black."

Hiccup felt his heart drop. But he couldn't say anything.

"I just wanted to let you in on a little secret, I will plant nightmare sand in you, and I will activate it if you say anything about this encounter." He said. He lifted his hand and a fistful of sand jammed itself down Hiccups throat, making him choke and gag.

"Why?" Hiccup said before going into a fit of coughs.

Pitch jumped down from the ledge. "Now, I want you to get close to Jack, make him trust you, and then when he does, crush him. Make him a weak soul for me." Pitch said.

"And why would I do that?" Hiccup asked.

Pitch chuckled. "Because if you don't, the nightmare sand within you will activate, making you my puppet instead. I will check in soon," he said. "Oh and you can tell them I have an army. I have both nightmares... "he smirked, tuning his head to face Hiccup. "... and dragons."

"Dragons?" Hiccup said breathlessly. "But how?!"

Pitch shrugged, jumping onto the ledge. "I'm just that good. Remember don't tell anyone I was here and that you have that sand in you," Pitch bowed. "Til later, Hiccup Haddock." Pitch disappeared into the shadow of the palace, leaving Hiccup with his hand in his chest and his mind in distraut. What was he gonna do now?
