Hiccups Moment

Jack's P.O.V

I gave Tooth a hug and watched as she left the room that lit orange and yellow from the recent fire. All the dragons followed behind her, hurtling there way outside a small crack. I'm surprised they can even fit into that hole. Knowing that Berk was getting down and dirty with the other dragons, made me feel a hell ova lot easier to focus on Hiccup.

As the last dragon left this dungeoned place behind, I turned to face the door that held all my fears and all that I have been looking forward to. I took a deep breath and started forward. My adrenaline pumping, but I don't know why I was freaked out. We did just talk no more than 10 minutes ago.

Slowly, I took a step forward, reaching my hand out towards the handle, but it flung open revealing Pitch. Oh yeah, I forgot about him. Jumping back, I lift my staff up at him and glare.

"Oh come now," he said, "pointing is rude."

"Where's Hiccup?" I asked.

Pitch shrugged, wearing a black, thick cloak over his new get up. "He's in there, but he's waiting."

"For what?"

"For his knight in shining armor to defeat the wicked king of course," he said, pointing at himself.

I rolled my eyes. "I don't have time to mess around here," I told him. "Now move."

Pitch chuckled, slicking his spiked black hair back. "You want me to move? Now that's sweet." He said. "I am not moving until you defe-"

"Its okay Pitch," a voice said from behind him. Pitch scooted, revealing Hiccup or... Jack Nightmare with pants on. His eyes blood red but his hair stayed the same. "I have this under control. You go and take out the people outside."

Pitch looked shocked to be ordered around and bowed. I raised an eyebrow before watching Pitch slowly turn away. "I expect to see you outside," Pitch turned to Jack Nightmare and then to me, then back. "And only you."

Hiccup nodded and turned his attention on me. "So, why did you flee on me?" I asked, when we were finally alone.

He shrugged. "Hiccup started regaining control," he said. "And I had to think about my new plan." He seductively said.

"New plan?" I asked.

Jack held up a small black handled kitchen knife to Hiccups chest, smiling with a wolfish grin. "This plan." He said.

"What are you doing?"

"You know, the best thing about being immortal in a human body, is even if the vassal dies, I can still live in his body."

No... Hiccup!

"What? No, you can't do this to him." I made a disgruntled noise before grabbing my side.

"Then do one thing for me, Jack." Nightmare walked forward and turned the knife onto me. My fear overwhelmed my senses as I slowly backed into a wall, the knife pointed in my face.

"What now? Are you gonna try and kill me again?" I asked bitterly.

"Oh no, I'm not gonna kill you," he said. "Your gonna kill yourself. I will leave Hiccup alone if you stab yourself," he paused, glancing me up and down, "in the heart."

I'm pretty sure all color drained from my face as I stared up at the eyes that glared back at me. I glanced down at the knife and bit my lip. I... I can't do this. Even if Hiccup were here, he wouldn't allow me to kill myself for him. He wouldn't want me to end my life for him. So... How did I defeat him last time? Should I just... Freeze him? Wait.... Maybe before I make up my mind, I need to force Hiccup out and make him fight.

"I love you Hiccup, please wake up." I begged. "Hiccup! Take control, talk to me, I can't kill myself and you can't die on me!"

Jack Nightmare rolled his eyes, but I saw him flinch in pain which meant Hiccup was fighting back.

"Come on Hiccup! Fight back!" I shouted.

"ENOUGH!" Jack Nightmare screamed. "Are you gonna do it or not?"

"I... I won't do it," I whispered.

He leaned forward, cupping his hand around his ear. "I'm sorry, what was that?"

I looked up seeing his eyes were bright green. "I love you Hiccup." I said softly.

"I love you too," He replied, making my heart flutter and my eyes grow wide. "You... Ugh... You are not sacrificing yourself for me," he said, struggling to remain. "I don't have very much time, he is fighting back and probably has still some control."

My heart sank. "Its... Its really you?" I asked, ignoring his warning and dropping my staff. All of my will power drained out of me. I felt the tears that I was unaware were shedding from my eyes. I lifted my hands and cupped Hiccups cheeks. "Its... Really you."

Hiccup smiled. "Yeah, its really me." He said. My tears flowed, the joy I felt was none other than real love. I smiled.

"You pulled me back, you really did it," he said.

The warm fuzzy feeling I was growing made my heart hurt from over joy. "I... I can't believe I did it, I missed you so much."

He smiled. "I miss-" his words cut off. My heart stopped. Time seemed to stop to a crawl. Hiccups eyes were wide as blood dripped the sides of his mouth. My eyes wandered down as his were too. The kitchen knife was lodged into Hiccups heart.

No... No! It can't be! He can't be stabbed. Hiccups body grew limb, making me drop to my knees. His gagging sounded painful. My tears became rapid, my heart sinking to the ground. I panicked grabbing his hand and trying to apply pressure to the wound.

"No," I whispered. "NO! YOU CANT DIE!" I sobbed, fumbling over his body, the knife was in his hands. I applied pressure.

"No... Nooo!" I cried, my screams hurting the lump in my throat. "You can't di-ie! We were supposed to be lovers. We were supposed to rescue you!" I saw his eyes look up at me and a smile touch his lips.

"Don't... Don't worry." He whispered. "I.. I love...yo..." His words faltered. His eyes closing and becoming pale.

No... No! I grabbed his shirt shaking him but all he did was flop. "You can't... You can't die... HICCUP! QUITE PLAYING!"

I sobbed and cried, but the only sound I could hear, was my heart breaking into pieces.
