Valerie's POV

        Way too early in the morning I was ready for my audition. My hands sweating and my heart accelerating each time the long hand moves on the clock. I was in my ballet tights and my hair was pulled in a neat bun, Legolas fell asleep on the couch but I knew he did that on purpose so he could let me sleep on the bed. My mind was focused on my audition, I did the same routine and the same song everyday it is the song my grandmother taught me before she passed away. I would always dance to Enya but as each year came I wasn't good enough. 

"Good morning Valerie." Legolas greeted me startling me making me fall of the bed. "Ouch!" in an instant Legolas was beside me "Are you okay?" he asked me as he helped me up, I blushed as I noticed that he wasn't wearing any shirt. Seriously? What is up with him and being shirtless because if men in his world looked like him and would always be shirtless I think I would die. My cheeks began turning red as he pulled me up to stand "Today is the audition." I said nervously "Yes, I am excited to see you dance." he said with a dimple smile that just made me melt. Legolas was attractive but as I said he was from a different world, it would never work out. 

There was silence between us as we just stared at each other but then I snapped back to what I was doing "You should get ready Legolas while I go wake Skylar." I said awkwardly as I turned around not taking another glance towards the Elf that was in my room.

        "You can do this Val, just remember your routines." Skylar cheered me up as she was squeezing my shoulders. We were already inside the theater with other dancers and I was a nervous wreck, I couldn't help but look at Legolas who was sitting beside me as our eyes met he gave me a soft smile and winked. I was totally nervous especially with Stacey in the room who was in sparkling tights and looked stunning as always while I was just in a plain black tights. 

"Valerie Greene." the judge called out, Skylar and Legolas gave me hug before I made my way towards the stage I was waiting for the enya song to play but no music was being played the technician came out saying "Sorry Ms.Greene but your CD can't play-- for some reason the file is corrupt." as the technician said that Stacey and her group started laughing. I knew it was Stacey who corrupted my file because that's what they did to Jasmine last year and now Jasmine was not with us because of depression. The judges looked annoyed and one of them said "You have one minute to fix this problem or you are disqualified." I ran off stage and towards Skylar and Legolas who was walking towards me.

"What am I gonna do Sky!? I am totally screwed!" I said in a panic voice while I ran my hand through my hair stress-fully. "Look! Look at me Val! I have only one track on my phone which is clarity by Zedd, You have to dance this!" Skylar said to me as she held up her phone "But I didn't practice!" I butted in then she looked at Legolas and said "You convince Val here while I go talk to the technician." Legolas nodded and looked at me with concern. "You can do this Valerie," he encouraged "I can't Legolas I don't know the song and I haven't practiced!" I whined but then Legolas put his hands on my shoulders. 

"Valerie I believe you can do this, You are so passionate about this. Dance with your heart you even said you have been dancing the song for how many years but this year put that Valerie behind and bring out a new one... if you can't do it for yourself then at least do it for me Valerie." he said as he took off my neat bun and let my long hair run down my back, he smiled and put a strand of hair behind my ear "Put your hair like this... you look beautiful." I couldn't help but look closely at him, it was like an enchantment cast upon me like magic. "You can do it Valerie I will be here for you." he said once again as he pressed his lips on my hand which made me blush like hell.  

"Val! Go!" Skylar shouted as she pushed me towards the stage. The music started playing and I took a deep breath and focus on what my body wants to do.

        "Oh my God Val! You were so amazing!" Skylar exclaimed as we made our way towards a store that had swimsuits. "Uhh.. yeah." I said not totally sure if my performance was amazing I couldn't help but notice that as I was dancing Legolas was the only one on my mind which was bizarre because I barely even know everything about Legolas, who knows he might of been a murderer before or he raped someone but he doesn't seem like the person to do so but who knows people change.

"Hello! Earth to Val! choose a swimsuit already!" Skylar said in an annoyed tone, "Hey Legolas why don't you choose some trunks or something okay?" I asked as I looked at him while Skylar ran towards a rack with bikinis on it. "Where are we going Valerie?" he asked as he grabbed a hanger with a silver bikini on it. "Beach it's where people go to swim with these-- but these are for women" I said as I took the hanger away from him and pushed him towards the male section. After hours of trying on various bikinis Skylar got one for me which was a two piece color dark green and she had a color yellow I didn't know what Legolas got but he bought something. 

My heart was beating nervously since we would be attending the party meaning that Zac would be there and even though I was kind of over him still I was nervous as hell to be facing him since the time I embrassed myself by asking him to the Christmas dance. 

Me and Skylar were already in our Bikinis sitting on the sand watching in the distance as Zac and his group were dancing on a pick-up truck with Stacey and her bikini friends. Stacey as usual looked amazing in her black and white striped bikini. Zac looked hot couldn't deny it as he wore a camoflauged trunks that showed his four packs. He was drinking beer along with everyone else. 

"I can't believe Zac would turn you down Val, I mean look at you-- you are hot as Stacey over there much more talented too." Skylar said as she started putting sun screen on her body. "Who cares Sky, maybe Zac isn't my prince charming." I said as I faced the water instead of looking at Zac and his amazing four packs. Skylar put on her sun glasses as she continued putting on sun screen, I relaxed onto the sand just listening to the beautiful sound of the waves crash onto the shore.

In the distance was the laughter and shouting of Zac and his group when all of a sudden it came to a stop like someone just pressed the pause button, Skylar's hand then hit my stomach as she exclaimed "Oh-My-God-Val you have to take a look!" I then sat up and saw that Zac and his group was looking at something or someone as my eyes traced where their gaze was fixed upon, I couldn't help but let my jaw drop. 

There stood Legolas in a very tight and short black trunks I'm not even sure if you should call them trunks it was like a very tight underwear for him. He was walking towards us, his hair was flowing down his well built - mouth watering chest and it showed his eight packs or twelve? Was it even possible to have a body like that? He was wearing silver ray ban sun glasses that made him look mysterious. "So hot." Skylar complimented as her jaw was also dropped. 

As Legolas noticed we were looking at him he grinned making him look even more irresistible, I saw Stacey and friends looked jealous as she watched Legolas walking over to us. "Hello Skylar! Valerie! Do I look okay?" he asked as he spun around for us. "Are you kidding me Legolas? You look totally rip!" Skylar said and poor Legolas as he looked like the word 'rip' only meant 'rest in peace' "What she meant was you look totally fine." I covered up, Skylar's head snapped towards me as she hit me on the shoulder and shouted "FINE!? He looks totally Hot! I mean my mouth is watering just by looking at him." making Legolas go scarlett. 

Suddenly Stacey and two of her friends came up to us and said "Hey Skylar and Larry." "It's Valerie." I corrected "Whatever!" she said as she held up a hand "Hi there! My name is Stacey and these are my friends." she flirted with Legolas as she put a hand on his shoulder and for some reason I started boiling up but I decided to keep quiet. "My name is Legolas." he said not knowing what to do, she smiled and said "Interesting name... would you like to come hang out with us?" as she smirked trying to look sexy for him. 

I sighed to myself knowing Legolas would go with her, I mean Zac did why wouldn't Legolas go with her? I looked at the sand and played with the sand hoping nobody would notice me. but suddenly I heard Legolas say "Sorry but I am on a date with Valerie," as my name was mentioned I quickly looked up to Legolas to see him standing in front of me. "Wanna go for a walk?" he asked, I looked at Stacey who seemed shock that she was turned down especially by a very good looking guy. Legolas held his hand out for me to grab, I slowly reached for his hand as he helped stand up "Sure." I replied not believing that Legolas turned down Stacey to just go on a walk with me. 

Me and Legolas walked away from where Stacey and Skylar was, I looked behind me and saw Skylar give a thumbs up towards me and saw Stacey giving me a deadly glare but nothing mattered as my arm was in Legolas' arm. "Why did you decline Stacey's offer? She is beautiful." I said as we started walking along the shore "She is beautiful but her beauty doesn't match yours, I am on a date with you..... and I also wanna be with you than her." he said making me blush at the same time have butterflies.

The silence was unbearable as we walked I then decided to get to know him better, if he is gonna live with me for a while "So Legolas have you ever killed anyone before?" "Yes." he replied making my heart jump with fear and my eyes widen as I looked at him "Never have I killed my kind, but spiders, Orcs, Uruk-hais, goblins, wargs and other such evil creatures." he said making my heart calm down. "Orcs? Uruk-hais? goblins? wargs? never heard of such creatures." I said, his smile then faded and said "Orcs and Uruk-hais are very dangerous, they kill anyone in their path especially Golbins they are ugly creatures with black skin, long dirty nails and ugly teeth and they smell horrible, they are not wise but they are sneaky," he replied "As for wargs they are just like wolves except bigger and they hunt and kill better." "Sounds scary to live in your world." I said hoping I would never go to his world.

 "Yes it is... but the beauty of my world is a beauty that you can see in no other world... grass greener than ever, tall trees that look like they could touch the sky, leaves with multiple colors everywhere you go in Middle Earth would take your breath away my kingdom is the great greenwood with the greenest and tallest trees you'll ever see we were once known to be a merry kingdom until my mother was taken, then there was Forest of Lothlorien were the beautiful Lady of light lives." he said as he looked towards the sky like he was already there "Why don't you marry the lady of light?" I asked, he chuckled and said "She is ruling the forest along with her husband Lord Celeborn, their forest glows gold and blue and is protected by the lady of light then another one is Rivendell ruled by Lord Elrond the husband of the daughter of the lady of light that was until Lady Celebrain was kidnapped she then sailed onto the undying lands there are other lands beautiful like Gondor, Rohan, the Shire." 

"Undying lands?" I asked "It is a place of peace another elven realm. I have never been there but everyone says it is like a white sand beach that could go on forever." he said "Sounds peaceful." I said he then stopped walking and faced me "Valerie, You did well today in your dance. Even though It is an alien dance to me still it was beautiful and I am very thankful you took me in when I had nowhere to go." he said his face so near mine I could feel his breath tickle my lips. "Legolas I..." he then held a finger against my lips and said "No need to say anything else, let us go back to Skylar and drag her into the water." a playful smile appeared on my face as we both run towards Skylar who was now sunbathing in the sun. 

Suddenly me and Legolas grabbed her legs and started dragging her towards the water "Ahhh! Let me go!!" she shouted as us three hit the water me and Legolas burst out laughing while Skylar growled at us. "You guys are so gonna pay for this!!" she growled as she started splashing water on me and Legolas making me squeal while Legolas splashed back water to her. We then started swimming I was glad that Legolas knew how to swim because it would be a pain in the neck to teach him. Skylar went to go dry off while me and Legolas were still swimming.

Legolas could stand since the water was only up to his neck while I had to float since I couldn't reach. "Legolas thank you for turning Stacey down and approaching me." I said as I smiled at him "Valerie even if the greatest of beauty asked me out I would still choose you." he said which made me blush even brighter than a tomato. Then an unexpected pain shot through my foot "Ouch! Cramp! Cramp!" I said as I no longer could keep myself above the water, Legolas wrapped his arms around my waist and brought me above the water. "You got foot cramp?" he asked, I nodded lost in his eyes since our faces were only one inch apart. 

 Me and Legolas were having a very intense stare since we both were about to lean in, but before our lips could make contact we then heard a piercing scream ;

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!"

Mine and Legolas' head snapped towards the sound of screaming and to my utter horror I saw some creatures-- ugly creatures running around the beach they look like poop that has been put together and they song the song 'frosty the snowman' but more like 'frosty the poopman' they wore some sort of armor and were growling and shouting in weird languages. "What are they doing here!?" Legolas asked fear and horror in his voice "What are they?" I asked as I saw one chasing after Skylar, "Orcs!" he said he then put me down still in the water were I could stand since I was too scared to move "Stay here." he said as he ran off towards the Orcs.

I watched in horror as Legolas appraoched one and punched him as if the Orc was nothing, my jaw dropped since that punch could have broke his hand but it seemed as Legolas was more than alright. He then grabbed a sword-- Wait! A sword! From the Orc and started stabbing them one by one but as I was watching I didn't notice two Orcs were approaching me, "Get her!" they snarled.

I let out a piercing scream and struggled as they grabbed me when suddenly everything went black.
