Jungkook pulls into Hyunmi's driveway.

Hyunmi: You know, you didn't have to drive everywhere today.

Jungkook: I know but, I wanted you to relax.

A small smile forms on Hyunmi's face as she looks down.

Hyunmi: Are you getting picked up straight away or staying for a bit?

Jungkook: Well

Jungkook checks the time on his phone then looks back at Hyunmi with a slight smirk as she's looking back at him.

Jungkook: If you want me to stay for a little while, then I will. If you want me to leave, then I'll go.

Hyunmi: You really think I'd want you to leave after what has happened today?

Jungkook gives her a warm smile and they both get out. They both walk up to the front door and Hyunmi opens it to reveal all the staff lined up.

Staff: Welcome back–oh, Hyunmi.

Hyunmi's eyes are widen.

Hyunmi: What's going on..?

A maid: Your parents are coming at any moment.

Hyunmi: WHAT?

Hyunmi quickly takes off her shoes and runs into the kitchen. The maids follow her. Jungkook is confused but takes off his shoes and stays by the door. The staff that stayed are staring at him and he's staring back.

Jungkook: Hello..

The staff bows before saying hello back and suggesting for him to come in. Jungkook starts walking down the hall to the kitchen but Hyunmi runs out and into the living room.

Hyunmi: This doesn't go there!–WAIT WHERE'S THE REMOTE FOR–oh here it is. Jiyoung unnie! Do you know where the–AH WAIT HOW'S DOWNSTAIRS? MY FATHER'S OFFICE WAS UNTOUCHED RIGHT OR–

Just as Hyunmi was about to run downstairs, Jungkook grabs her shoulders.

Jungkook: Breathe

Hyunmi: I need to hurry–

Jungkook: Breathe

Hyunmi: But–

Jungkook: Breathe

She does as told and calms down.

Jungkook: What's going on?

Hyunmi: My parents have come back without letting me know. Maybe you should leave–

Staff: Welcome back Master and Madam!

Hyunmi's eyes widen again as she begins to whisper.

Hyunmi: Go hide

Jungkook: Wae–

Hyunmi: Just go go go! The closet.

Hyunmi shoves Jungkook towards the closet before walking out into the hallway where everyone else is. She puts on a smile and has her hands behind her back.

Hyunmi's Mom: My little girl! We are back

Hyunmi's mom engulfs her into a hug and her father joins the hug.

Hyunmi's Dad: I hope you have been well, honey.

Hyunmi: Ye, I have been. I hope you two had a pleasant trip back.

Hyunmi's Parents: We did

The maids bow before grabbing the luggage and bow again before heading upstairs. Her father dismisses the rest of the staff, they bow before separating and Hyunmi begins to walk with her mom. Her father takes off his shoes and realizes that there are someone else's shoes here.

Hyunmi's Dad: Hyunmi.

Both Hyunmi and her mother turn around and look at her father.

Hyunmi: Ye?

Hyunmi's Dad: Do you..happen to have someone else here?

Hyunmi: Huh?

Hyunmi's Dad: Well, someone's shoes are here.

Hyunmi: Oh...that...those are just...Jongyul's shoes. He forgot them here when he and Hyesu came over a few days ago.

Hyunmi's Dad: He forgot his shoes?

Hyunmi: He had another pair with him because we played futbol outside.

Hyunmi's Dad: Ah, makes sense.

Hyunmi: I'll go drop them off to him right now.

Hyunmi's Dad: Don't take long. We must look for the perfect dress for you.

Hyunmi: For..?

Hyunmi's Dad: We'll talk about it when you get back.

Hyunmi: Alright..

Hyunmi puts on her shoes and waits for her father to walk into his office per usual, her mom goes into the kitchen. She grabs Jungkook's shoes and makes her way over to the closet he's in. She takes his hand and slyly then walk out through the front door. She hands him his shoes and he puts them on.

Hyunmi: You still have my keys in your pocket, right?

Jungkook nods.

Hyunmi: Then let's go. You drive since I don't know where you live and then–

Jungkook: The school day isn't even–

Hyunmi: Then..I don't know we'll figure out something but we need to go.

It's an hour later and the school day has finally come to an end. Jungkook is back at his dorm and Hyunmi is back with her parents. She has her elbows on the island with her chin in the palms of her hands as she watches the cook prepare dinner.

Hyunmi's Dad: Hyunmi.

She turns her head and looks at her father. She looks back then stands up straight and walks over to her father.

Hyunmi: Ye?

Hyunmi's Dad: We will be attending an extravagant birthday party next Saturday. Here in this folder are some of the dresses that have been chosen out for you.

He hands her the folder and Hyunmi looks at it with a slight frown.

Hyunmi: But Dad, you know I much rather prefer trying on clothes than choosing them in this way.

Hyunmi's Dad: Hm..I'll work something out. Take a look at the dresses in there though.

With that, he walks out of the kitchen. Hyunmi places the folder on the counter and flips through some of them with her eyes widen.

Hyunmi: Jesus..these all look so..so..–

Cook: Extravagant?

Hyunmi: Yeah..

Cook: An extravagant dress for an extravagant event.

Hyunmi: Why so..extravagant though? I've been to extravagant events before but never have I ever worn something this extravagant.

The Kim family are all sat down, eating dinner. The food is so delicious that no one is speaking..that is until Hyunmi's father breaks the silence.

Hyunmi's Dad: Almost forgot to mention, you have a fitting for a dress this Saturday night.

Hyunmi nearly chokes on her food at his statement.

Hyunmi: This Saturday night?

Hyunmi's Dad: That is what I said.

Hyunmi: W-What time?

Hyunmi's Dad: Well, the tailor will arrive here with the dresses you have chosen to try on by 7:30.

Hyunmi: Wait, I had to choose.

Hyunmi's Dad: If you haven't yet, just bring them to me in the morning.

Hyunmi: Ye...

Hyunmi's Mom: Is something wrong, sweetie?

Hyunmi looks at her mom with slight confusion.

Hyunmi's Mom: You don't sound too happy and don't look like it either..

Hyunmi: Oh..

Hyunmi's Dad: Is Saturday not good?

Hyunmi: No no. Saturday is fine..it's just..I kind of had plans already made for Saturday...

Hyunmi's Dad: Are they more important than the fitting?

Hyunmi looks at her mom and she's looking at different direction. Hyunmi then looks back at her father then looks down at her food.

Hyunmi: Aniyo..

Seohyeong: YOU'RE NOT GOING?

Hyunmi: Relax, Hyeongie.

Seohyeong: RELAX? I'M RELAXED. THIS IS THE ONE PARTY IN WHICH HANYONG ISN'T ATTENDING AND YOU CAN'T MAKE IT!?

Hyesu: What's going on?

Seohyeong: Mimi isn't going to the party on Saturday

Hyunmi: You both are making a big deal out of nothing

Jongyul and Jihwan walk over to the three girls.

Jongyul: What's going on?

Hyesu: Mimi isn't going

Jihwan: Going where?

Seohyeong: To the party this Saturday

The boys gasp as they stare at Hyesu and Seohyeong then at Hyunmi.

Jongyul: Are you okay?

Jihwan: WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HYUNMI?

Hyunmi: Would you all quit overreacting, please? It's one party that I'm unable to go to, alright? Not a big deal.

Jungkook is walking down the hallway looking for Jihwan then spots them all crowded around Hyunmi's locker.

Seohyeong: ...Are you lowkey dating Hanyong?

Hyesu, Jongyul and Jihwan gasp.

Hyunmi: WHAT? Are you CRAZY?

Jihwan: It would make sense..you have attended all of them except the one Hanyong isn't attending..

Hyunmi: Uh no, that's just called a coincidence.

Jungkook: What's going on?

Everyone stops and stares at Jungkook. Hyunmi shuts her locker and turns back to look at him.

Hyunmi: Nothing, they are just overreacting over the smallest thing.

Jongyul: It may be small to you but that thing is big to everyone else coming from you.

Hyunmi sighs and begins to walk with Jungkook on her side and everyone else following.

Hyunmi: Just ignore them, Jungkook. Seohyeong-ah, I forgot to tell you that Jia was looking for you last period. She mentioned that it was something important.

Seohyeong: Aish, I forgot. She texted me. See you in lunch today?

Hyunmi: I don't think so today

Jihwan: Today's lunch menu is pretty good, I'm going to wait in line before it's too long.

Hyunmi: Hyesu-ah, Yulie-ah, as per usual I'm walking you to your classes.

Jungkook: Where are you after though?

Hyunmi: Me?

Jungkook: Ne

Hyunmi: Oh, auh, just helping out.

Jungkook: I'll help with you–

Hyunmi: ANI–I mean..aniyo..that's not necessary.

All: ...

Hyunmi: What? I'm stating the–

Jungkook: Aish, Mimi, when will you understand that I know it's not necessary but I want to do it. If I didn't, why would I offer it?

Hyesu: Kookie just wants to spend time with you as he doesn't really get to, is that a bad thing?

Hyunmi: I suppose not..but you're missing out on lunch.

Jungkook: And? So are you.

Hyunmi: Yeah but it's not important for me to keep my image.

Jongyul: Oh really?

Hyunmi looks at him, trying to think by what he means then sighs.

Hyunmi: If you really think that I care about being a Barbie or being idolized in the school so much, then you're wrong. It's not like any of it will end up helping me later on in the future anyway.

Hyesu: I guess you never really know until the time comes.

Jungkook: So where exactly do you have to go right now?

Hyunmi: Library..

Jungkook: For what?

Hyunmi: The rest of the school day..

Jungkook: That's not what I meant by the question but–

Hyunmi: Oh..to clean

Jungkook: Clean while school is in session?

Hyunmi: Not the whole library..just the messiest parts

Jungkook: What did you do?

Hyunmi: .......I fell asleep during my exam today

Jungkook: You what?

Hyunmi: I-I barely slept last night. I was busy doing something last night then I remembered about my school work and I didn't finish it until late–or I guess early since it was AM–that's not the point–and I completely forgot about the exam–AH I'M SO PISSED OFF AT MYSELF!

Jungkook grabs a hold of her shoulders again.

Jungkook: Breathe

She takes a deep breath and then lets it out. Still staring into each other's eyes, they stay quiet for a bit. Jungkook looks down at her lips then back at her eyes. He clears his throat and his arms drop to his side.

Jungkook: Better?

Hyunmi: Sort of..

Jungkook: I'll help you clean

Hyunmi: Anya, go eat.

Jungkook: I'm not hungry

Hyunmi: Go eat

Jungkook: Do you want something to eat?

Hyunmi: An–stay and eat then if you'd like you can bring me something but only if you stay and eat. Don't rush through it either.

Jungkook: That's not fair

Hyunmi: You have to take care of your health

Jungkook: So do you

Hyunmi: For you it's more important though

Jungkook: And it isn't for you?

Hyunmi: Compared to you, no.

Jungkook: It's equal

Hyunmi: I'm not cared about like that. If you were to get a fever, everyone would worry about you, you wouldn't be able to attend activities–

Jungkook: Just shush. How can you say you are not cared about when you are? Seohyeong and the clan, Hyesu, Jongyul, me, Jihwan–

Hyunmi: Wait wait, you? Wae do you care about me?

Jungkook: Wae wouldn't I? Wae would I want to spend so much time with you if I didn't even care about you?

Hyunmi: ...I don't know

Jungkook smiles as they begin to walk to the library.

Jungkook: Silly

It's 15 minutes before the school day is over and Hyunmi's done cleaning. She made Jungkook go to his classes after lunch except he urged on not going to his last class. He even went to the teacher beforehand to let him know that he isn't coming because he 'has' to help out. If it weren't for Jungkook's help, Hyunmi would still be cleaning right now.

The two finally sit down at one of the tables with a sigh of relief.

Hyunmi: Thank you for helping me when you really didn't need to

Jungkook: You're welcome and I know, I wanted to help though. If anything, I would have done it all for you but I know you wouldn't let me do that.

Hyunmi: Yeah you're right–

Jia: Mimi!

Hyunmi turns around and sees Jia with Minyoung.

Jia: Come over here and let's take a selfie! We haven't taken one in ages!

Hyunmi: ...We took one this morning.

Jia: That doesn't count!

Hyunmi: What..?

Jia: Aish, just come over here.

Hyunmi looks back at Jungkook and he nods, letting her know that it's okay. She gets up and walks over to where Jia and Minyoung are sitting at. She takes a seat by Jia and smiles as they take one. Jia goes into her camera roll to look at the picture.

Jia: Are you dating him?

Hyunmi: Hm?

Jia: Are you dating Jungkook?

Hyunmi: Ani

Jia: Really?

Hyunmi: Ne

Jia: Whaaat? It really seems like it though. Hm..maybe you should date him.

Hyunmi: I should?

Jia looks up and over at Jungkook.

Jia: May I take a selfie with you?

Jungkook nods and goes to get up but then Jia stands up and insists on him sitting back down. Jia goes over to him and takes a seat by him. Hyunmi stays where she is but tried watching at the same time. She just shrugs though and looks at Minyoung.

Minyoung: Mimi, do you think you can help me out with something?

Hyunmi: What is it?

Minyoung: I need your advice..

Hyunmi: Hit me

Jia hands her phone to Jungkook so he can take the pictures. He holds up a peace sign and smiles for the first one then take a few more with different poses.

Jia: Do you like Mimi?

Jungkook: Pardon?

Jia: Do you?

Jungkook: ...

Jia: You sooooooo totally do...It seems like you two are dating, are you?

Jungkook: We aren't dating

Jia: Seems like it..

Jungkook: Why are you talking about this?

Jia: Because it's a good way for someone to start a scandal on you..

Jungkook: What are you saying?

Jia: Or a good way to push Hyunmi's buttons

Jungkook: ...Where are you heading with this?

Jia: Mimi's enemy

Jungkook: She has an enemy?

Jia: Yeah, they hate each other. She's taken notice of your relationship with her and I'm just saying those are two ways she could take this or worse.

Jungkook: Why are you telling me this and not Hyunmi?

Jia: Because I know Mimi isn't a dumb girl.

Jungkook: ...Are you calling me dumb?

Jia starts laughing.

Jia: Just be careful with your actions when in school and I'm not saying as in you'll kiss her or something but like for example, leaving early from school with her or helping her clean when you don't need to, for both of your sakes'.

Jungkook: Who's her enemy?

Jia: She's a girl that goes by the name Gina.

Jungkook: Is she a foreign exchange student?

Jia: Anya, she just likes the name Gina and prefers everyone calling her it. Her real name is Sora. Don't talk about her around Mimi that much, it annoys her.

Jungkook: Note taken, thank you.

Jia: No problem, is it okay if I post one of the selfies?

Jungkook: It's fine–

Jungkook is interrupted by someone crying. Jia's and Jungkook's attention go towards where the crying is coming from, which is coming from Minyoung.

Minyoung: I don't understand why he has to be such an asshole! He changed so much!

Hyunmi: Okay, come on. Let's leave the library, we are going to his class right now. I'm speaking to him–

Jia gets up quickly and walks over to them.

Jia: What's going on?

Hyunmi: Jaehyun is being too much of a fucking asshole that's what's going on.

Librarian: Hyunmi, language.

Hyunmi: Sorry..

Jungkook gets up, getting Hyunmi's bag and walking over to them. Minyoung stands up and Hyunmi walks over to her, wiping her tears away.

Hyunmi: Don't waste your tears on him, he isn't worth crying over.

They all exited and head to the classroom in which Jaehyun is in.

Hyunmi: Stay out here, I'll be right back.

Hyunmi enters the classroom, smiling innocently and bows.

Teacher: Ahh Hyunmi what brings you here?

Hyunmi: I need Jaehyun for a minute if you don't mind

Teacher: Go right ahead. Jaehyun! Wake up and get out!

Jaehyun lifts his head up from the desk and follows Hyunmi out. She shuts the door.

Jaehyun: What do you–

Instantly, Hyunmi harshly shoves him against the wall.

Jaehyun: WHAT THE FUCK?

Hyunmi: WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?

Jaehyun: WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?

Hyunmi: I'M KIM HYUN FUCKING MI, BITCH. NOW WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU BEING SUCH AN ASSHOLE, EH?

Jaehyun: EXCUSE ME?

Hyunmi: You're not excused.

Jaehyun: Bitch.

Hyunmi: Asshole.

Jaehyun: Slut.

Hyunmi slaps him across the face.

Hyunmi: If you could stop talking about yourself, that would be lovely.

Jaehyun rolls his eyes.

Jaehyun: I can't believe you

Hyunmi: I can't believe you!! You're being such an asshole to Minyoung!

Jaehyun: Who said?

Hyunmi: Minyoung

Jaehyun: And you believe her?

Hyunmi: I know how the fuck you can be so don't try and make yourself look innocent–look at me in the eyes.

He avoids her eyes but then Hyunmi grabs his chin and moves his head. She stares into his eyes and shakes her head.

Hyunmi: You don't deserve, Minyoung.

Hyunmi walks away from him and down the hallway with Jia, Minyoung and Jungkook following leaving Jaehyung in confusion. Hyunmi walks into the hallway in which her locker is in, leans against her locker with a sigh.

Hyunmi: He's cheating on you. That's why he's been acting like an asshole to you so you would end up breaking up with him instead of him breaking up with you, breaking your heart. What he didn't realize was that either way, your heart would be broken..Minyoung, I understand that you're in love with him but, he's not worth crying over. Anyone would be lucky to have you as a girlfriend but he let his lust get the best of him, he never realized how lucky he was. It pains me to see you in such despair but, you have to move on from him.

Minyoung doesn't say anything but walks over to her and hugs her, tightly.

Jungkook offered to drive Hyunmi home but she refused because she didn't know if her parents would be there. He then asked if she could give him a ride to Jihwan's and she accepted. He's driving and they've been in complete silence.

Hyunmi has her head leaning against the window as she looks forward. Jungkook has taken a few glances at her here and there throughout the car ride. As they reach a traffic light on red, he takes another glance her then looks forward before speaking.

Jungkook: You really take care of your friends

Hyunmi: Of course I do

Jungkook: You left me in shock when you slapped him

Hyunmi: He deserved it

Jungkook: I know..and if I could without getting in trouble by my label, I would've punched him.

Silence fills the car once again. Contemplating whether he should do it or not, he finally decides to take her hand and hold it. The light turns green and he begins to drive. Hyunmi slowly looks at their hands then at him. He looks at her with a slight smirk then focuses on the road. She looks back down at their hands then back at the main road again. He feels her grip on his hand causing his heart rate to pick up.

They arrive at Jihwan's and both step out of the car. Hyunmi walks over to the driver's side, walking past Jungkook but he grabs her arm. She stays in place and doesn't speak. She's looking down at the ground and Jungkook walks in front of her.

Jungkook: What's wrong?

Hyunmi still does not say anything nor move. With his index finger, he lifts up her chin but she's still looking down.

Jungkook: Hyunmi..

Hyunmi: ...

Jungkook: Hyunmi

Hyunmi: ...

Jungkook: Hyunmi.

Hyunmi: Wae is it that bad things always happen to good people?

Jungkook: What?

Hyunmi: It just..

She looks up and meets his eyes.

Hyunmi: doesn't make sense..Bad things shouldn't happen to those who are good let alone anyone really..but I guess that's just life, huh?

Jungkook: Mimi, don't stress yourself over Minyoung and Jaehyun. It's not your fault.

Hyunmi: I know but I can't help but feel..guilty about it.

Jungkook: You didn't cause him to cheat, did you? Ani, I don't think so.

Hyunmi: No..but I know for sure who he must have been cheating with..

Jungkook: Who?

Hyunmi: Gina..

Jungkook: Oh..

Hyunmi: Gina..she knows how much I care about my friends. She's trying hard to get to me..and it's working.

Jungkook: Don't let it work

Hyunmi: ...

Jungkook: ...

Jungkook's eyebrows furrow as he studies her face.

Jungkook: What else is going on, Mimi?

Her gaze drops again as she turns around, facing her car.

Hyunmi: You heard when my father mentioned finding the perfect dress for me, right?

Jungkook: I did..

Hyunmi: When I got back, he handed my a folder full of photos of extravagant dresses..I've worn fancy dresses before but never this much. He told me I had to choose because he's making me go to some birthday party with him next weekend.

Jungkook: Don't you like parties?

Hyunmi: Kind of..This morning before I came to school..my father..he told me that I must look my best because I'll be meeting who will be my future husband..

Jungkook: .....

Hyunmi: Jungkook..

She turns around slowly but doesn't look up.

Hyunmi: I–I don't want to married someone that has been set up for me in the way that it has been. I don't want to marry someone I don't have feelings for. I don't care if he's the heir of some rich family. I don't care about the money like that..I-I just want to marry someone who I truly have fallen for and know I can trust..

Jungkook: Have you tried telling your parents that?

Hyunmi: I can't go against my father..I'll be a disgrace to the family name and be disowned.

Jungkook: Do you think you have a say in this?

Hyunmi: More like, I wish I had a say in this....I don't know what to do..

Her eyebrows furrow and Jungkook grabs her wrist, pulling her closer to him and hugging her. She stays stiff then slowly hugs back and hiding her face on his chest. She's tearing up but trying to not let the tears stream down her face. He rubs circles on her back and they stay like this for a little while. He kisses the top of her head before pulling away.

Jungkook: We'll FaceTime tonight, okay? I'll call you.

Hyunmi nods as she enters the car and shuts the door. Jungkook begins walking towards the front door to Jihwan's house but keeps looking back at Hyunmi. He watches as she wipes her eyes. She puts on her seatbelt and puts the car in reverse. Before she pulls out of the driveway, Jungkook sees one tear stream down her cheek. It's a new side of Hyunmi that Jungkook got to see..and it pains him to see her that way. He wishes he was able to do something about the situation but is unsure in how he would even be able to do so.

Suddenly, Hyesu and Jongyul pull up. They exit the car and greet each other.

Jongyul: You alright? You look a bit upset, pal.

Jungkook: It's uh..Hyunmi.

Hyesu: Did she offend you? What did she say?

Jungkook: Aniyo, nothing like that but..you heard about what happened with Minyoung right?

Jongyul: About Jaehyun? Yeah.

Hyesu: Ugh, that jerk.

Jungkook: Yeah..she's stressing herself over that. She feels guilty.

Hyesu: She didn't cause it though

Jungkook: I know, that's what I told her but she feels guilt because she believes that Jaehyun cheated with Gina.

Jongyul: Argh, that whore, she tried breaking me and Hyesu up before, she must have thought.

Hyesu: She's trying to get to Hyunmi since it doesn't work when she does it directly..

Jungkook: She isn't only stressed on that..

Jongyul: What do you mean?

Jungkook: She's in an arrange marriage..

Jongyul: WHAT

Jungkook: She's going to be meeting her future husband at some party next weekend..I witnessed her cry..

Jongyul: She cried..?

Jungkook: She said she doesn't want be apart of the arrange marriage and would rather–

Hyesu: Marry someone she has true feelings for and someone she has trust in.

Jungkook: Yeah..

Hyesu: You know..I think Gina might have a way to directly get to her..

Jongyul: What do you mean?

Hyesu: By using Jungkook in some way. Maybe not like with you but just talking about you.

Jungkook: What?

Jongyul: Yeah, angel I'm confused by what you're saying.

Hyesu: Hyunmi..she never told me about this arranged marriage and I'm always usually the first to find out about things because she tells me..but this time she told you. She told you first and she even cried. She never cries in front of people unless she's completely comfortable with them and feels close to them...She has trust in you, don't you see? She may not say it but she's comfortable with you, I don't know what you did but, Jungkook, you broke down her walls and quick. It's true that you two already seem like a couple in school and I'm pretty sure, Gina knows it too. Now, you know that Hyunmi is protective over those she cares about, right?

Jungkook: Right

Jongyul: And Gina knows that she is..so she can just use your name while speaking to Hyunmi or around her and say some insult or something and Hyunmi will take it personal. She's like a mama bear and we're her cubs.

They stare at each other, all a bit in shock of what they have just realized.

Hyesu: Yulie, you have to drop me off at Hyunmi's.

Jongyul: Alright, let's go. Kookie, you want to stay and inform Jihwan or come with us? Jihwan is currently taking a nap by the way. I know because he hasn't answered any of my messages or phone calls.

Jungkook: Of course the bum is napping..I'll come with you guys if you don't mind.

Jongyul: After dropping off Hyesu, we'll comeback and figure out a way to wake up Jihwan.

Jungkook: Alright
