Hyunmi is still awake, working on a project that's due next week and she's stressing over it. She couldn't sleep so she didn't want to just stay awake and not be productive. She's at her desk and has music on at a low volume because her parents are sleeping. Currently, she's collecting more research on her computer for her project.

Her phone buzzes and her eyebrows furrow as she looks at it. She's received a text from Jungkook. She opens it up.

Jungkook: You're probably sleeping but I forgot to do this earlier, I got stuck in practice so I didn't get to FaceTime you like I said I would. I hope you're feeling better though. Goodnight.

Hyunmi: Well, you're wrong about me sleeping but don't worry about it. It's okay, I understand.

Jungkook: You're still awake?

Hyunmi: Yeah..

Jungkook: Want to FaceTime?

Hyunmi: Shouldn't you be going to sleep?

Jungkook: Shouldn't you be sleeping?

Hyunmi: Mm nah

Jungkook: Do you want to?

Hyunmi: FaceTime?

Jungkook: Yeah

Hyunmi: Sure

Almost instantly she receives a FaceTime call from Jungkook. Good thing she has a tripod for her phone. She answers it. As she waiting for the call to connect, she knocks over her empty glass on the floor.

Hyunmi: Aish..

She bends over to reach the glass as the call connects.

Jungkook: Hello–Hyunmi..?

She gets back up and places the glass on her desk. She looks over at her phone and waves.

Hyunmi: Hello, sorry I knocked over my glass onto the ground.

Jungkook: Are you okay? Did it break?

Hyunmi: Yeah, I'm fine. Luckily it didn't break..then again it has some cushion since the floors of my room are rugged.

Jungkook: Ahh, I see. What are you doing still up?

Hyunmi sighs as she faces her computer screen.

Hyunmi: I can't sleep..so I didn't want to just stay awake and do nothing so I'm currently working on a project that's due next week.

Jungkook: Do you ever give yourself a break?

Hyunmi: I suppose not

Jungkook: Wae can't you sleep?

Hyunmi: I don't know..I guess I have too much on my mind.

Jungkook: You're still thinking about it?

Hyunmi: I stopped thinking about one but thinking the other

Jungkook: The arranged marriage?

Hyunmi: Yeah..

Jungkook: Are you getting married like soon..?

Hyunmi: I hope not. I hope not to get married at all with whoever that guy is, you know? I don't know him, so wae would I spend the rest of my life married to a man that I haven't known for long.

Jungkook: I suppose you'd have to get to know him..

Hyunmi: Are you encouraging this?

Jungkook: Ani

Hyunmi sighs again and lays her head down onto the desk.

Jungkook: Maybe you should go to sleep

Hyunmi: I already tried

Jungkook: Try harder

Hyunmi: How could I?

Jungkook: Put on music

Hyunmi: Well, I put on some like raining audios, it shockingly didn't help.

Jungkook: Hm..do you want to sleep right now?

Hyunmi: I don't know

Jungkook: What if I sang to you?

Hyunmi: What do you mean?

Jungkook: Like sing some lullaby or something until you drift to sleep and then I'll hang up

Hyunmi: ...I don't know

Jungkook: It's alright if you don't want me to.

Hyunmi: You are a really good singer though, I must say.

Jungkook: Thank you..you have mentioned before that you aren't like an army. You always heard our music and impressed how much we've achieved but never followed like everything we did..are you a fan of a group or soloist? If so, who?

Hyunmi: I stan several but if you're talking about like keeping up with what's going on with an idol and watch their livestreams and stuff then, I'm an EXO-L and BLINK

Jungkook: Ooh really?

Hyunmi: Yeah

Jungkook: So not at all an army?

Hyunmi: Don't think of it like that. I know stuff about you guys I'm just not a hardcore fan. Not saying that you guys are a bad group or anything like that, nothing like that, you're all talented but I just, I don't know, I just–

Jungkook: It's alright but I think you should pay more attention to BTS from now on

Hyunmi slightly smiles causing Jungkook to smile.

Hyunmi: How come?

Jungkook: It's the group I'm apart of

Hyunmi: And wae should I care?

Jungkook: Because you care about me and so if you care about me, you'd care about the group I'm apart of too and what's going on with us.

Hyunmi: Do you how hard it is to actually keep up with the theories armys have come up with?

Jungkook laughs.

Jungkook: You've read into it?

Hyunmi: ..Yeah, before I started working on the project I started reading some more. Armys are really smart, it's crazy. They lowkey must have worked for the FBI.

Jungkook: I'm glad you appreciate them

Hyunmi: I respect all fandoms just not the individuals who claims to be a fan that like starting shit

Jungkook: Understandable

They continue conversing to the point in which they both fall asleep while still on FaceTime. Good thing they both had their phone charging before they fell asleep.

There's knocking on Hyunmi's door.

Jiyoung (one of the maids): Hyunmi? Are you awake?

Jiyoung continues to knock and calling out Hyunmi's name.

Jiyoung: Hyunmi, I'm coming in to check.

She opens the door and pokes her head in to see. Doesn't see Hyunmi on her bed but rather sees her asleep at her desk. She walks in and over to her. She shakes Hyunmi lightly. Hyunmi moves slightly and slowly lifts her head up, eyes squinted. She's confused and looks at Jiyoung.

Jiyoung: Hyunmi..did you sleep at your desk for the night?

Hyunmi: What time is it?

Jiyoung: It's 8 in the morning, Miss.

Hyunmi: Unnie, just call me Hyunmi.

Hyunmi looks over at her phone and sees she's still on FaceTime. Her eyes open up more as she sees that then decides to hang up. She sends a text to Jungkook about how she doesn't even remember falling asleep then takes her phone off the charger.

Jiyoung: Your father asked me to wake you up because you're going to be looking through hairstyles and makeup styles.

Hyunmi: I haven't even picked out a dress let alone the heels.

Jiyoung: Your mother tried telling him..

Hyunmi: I'll take a shower first. Let my father know.

Jiyoung nods and bows before exiting Hyunmi's room.

It's 8:30PM and the dresses have finally been chosen along with shoes. Yes, dresses. One Hyunmi will be dressed in for the day because she will be meeting him before the actual birthday party it's self then a different dress for the birthday party.

Hyunmi dresses quickly to go to the party. To her friends, none know that she's actually going. Luckily the dresses were chosen quicker than usual.

She gets to the party and walks in to reveal is kind of crowded but not really at the same time. She looks around to see if she can find any of her friends but is stopped.

Jaehyun: Mimi!

He chuckles as she gives him a dirty look. She knows he's drunk.

Jaehyun: So the rumors were wrong. I was told you weren't coming.

Hyunmi: Get lost Jaehyun

Jaehyun: Ya~ come on!

Hyunmi: Fuck off

She walks away, still looking around for one of her friends. She finally spots someone, which is Jia. She's getting a drink and Hyunmi quickly goes over to her.

Hyunmi: Heyo

Jia: Mimi, you're here!? Yay!!

Hyunmi: I was able to make it

Jia: Come on! Let's go where the rest of the girls are!

The two walk over where the rest of the 'Barbies' are and all greet Hyunmi with hype.

Seohyeong: I'm happy you came! A party is never the same without you.

Hyunmi: Aww, do you know if Hyesu, Jongyul, or Jihwan came?

Minyoung: They all came, Jungkook did too.

Hyunmi: Really?

Seohyeong: Yeah they did. I just don't know where they are. I know for sure though that they haven't left.

Jia: Guess who else is here..

Jia points and they all look towards where she's pointing. She's pointing at Gina who's with two other friends of hers. Hyunmi rolls her eyes.

Hyunmi: Of course she is

Seohyeong: Just don't talk to her, let's just enjoy the party. Let's dance!

It's about half an hour in since Hyunmi got to the party. She's laughing, having a good time as she dances with the girls and some guys are dancing with some of the girls but Hyunmi has stayed just dancing with her friends.

While dancing she ends up turning and she spots someone at the other side, watching her. It's Jungkook. He slightly smirks as they make eye contact. Hyunmi smiles to herself as she continues to dance. Where's Hyesu, Jongyul and Jihwan though?

She continues dancing for a little then turns a bit to take a glance at Jungkook and notices him with girls. They are coming onto him and he's looking down. Hyunmi rolls her eyes as she's about to turn around, she notices that Gina is making her way over to Jungkook. She glares at Gina and watches as she shoves the girls that were coming onto Jungkook out of her way and smiles at Jungkook.

They are talking. What could they be saying? They laughed..what is going on? Hyunmi watches as Gina places her hand on his shoulder then it moves down to his bicep. She strokes it with her thumb. Hyunmi rolls her eyes again as she turns back.

Hyunmi: I knew it was too good to be true..

Seohyeong: What?

Hyunmi: Nothing

She is about to continue dancing when she gets a brilliant idea. She takes one of guys from the dance floor and starts to dance with him. He's tipsy but isn't bad at dancing. From the corner of her eye, Hyunmi sees that Gina is still with Jungkook except, Jungkook is staring at her. She smirks and continues to dance with the guy. The guy has his hand on her lower back as they begin to grinding on each other.

Jungkook watches as Hyunmi dances with the other guy. He watches as they smile and sees them laugh together. He can't help but feel, jealousy.

Another half an hour later and Hyunmi decides that it's enough dancing for now. Before walking off the dancefloor, she takes a side glance over where she last saw Jungkook to see he's alone. Where did Gina go? Hyunmi decides to walk out the back door and finds Hyesu and Jongyul.

Hyunmi: Hyesu-ah! Yulie-ah!

Hyesu gasps and gets up, quickly going to where Hyunmi is and hugging her.

Hyesu: You came!

Hyunmi: Yeah, I got to last minute.

Hyesu: You know, Jungkook is here.

Hyunmi: Yeah..I know.

Hyesu: ..You don't sound too happy?

Hyunmi: I saw him with other girls and Gina..She was pretty damn comfortable with him and he seemed fine with it.

Hyesu: Really? I don't think–wait, Mimi, are you jealous?

Hyunmi: Of Gina? Hell no.

Hyesu: Are you sure?

Hyunmi: ...

Hyesu: ..Come on! Come sit with us.

Hyunmi: I will, let me just go grab a drink, though. I'm a bit parched.

Hyesu: You're drinking tonight?

Hyunmi: Drinking water

Hyesu: Ah, alright.

Hyesu walks back as Hyunmi heads over to the outside bar and asks for a water bottle.

Gina: You know, he's quite the package.

Hyunmi stiffens as she quickly recognizes the voice. She's given her waterbottle and turns around facing Gina.

Hyunmi: Who?

Gina: Jungkook

Hyunmi stiffens up more.

Gina: He's kind of shy..you know, it's usually always the shy ones that are the good ones.

Hyunmi: ...

Gina: He's toned, very toned. Nice biceps, nice abs..they feel nice too.

Hyunmi: That's wonderful, Gina.

Gina: I heard he has a big one too.

Hyunmi: ...

Gina: Can you confirm it?

Hyunmi: How would I know?

Gina: Oh..I thought you would know. That's too bad. I bet he's great in bed. You know..I can find out and let you know afterward.

At this point, Hyunmi is enraged. She throws her waterbottle to the ground then slaps Gina across her face.

Hyunmi: Leave him alone. He isn't some toy you can play with just like the other guys you've hoed around with.

Gina: Protective are we? Fine, if that's how you're going to be. I'm going to have him moaning and begging for more. Once he has a taste, all he'll want is more of me.

Gina smirks as she notices how pissed Hyunmi is and she goes to smack her but Hyunmi dodges and shoves her. They begin fighting. Gina with the girl fighting as Hyunmi going straight in there throwing punches. People from inside began coming out. Blacked out, she soon feels being pull away from Gina but didn't go down without a fight. She quickly realized it was Jongyul and Jihwan pulling her away from Gina. She kicks her legs, trying to get out of their grip but let's be real, they are much stronger than her. Accidentally, she kicks Gina causing her to fall into the pool along with a scream. Her eyebrows rise because she didn't mean to do that but it worked out perfectly.

Hyunmi: LET ME GO!

They finally put her down but Jongyul pushes her over to someone else.

Jongyul: Take her home

She notices that it's Jungkook and he nods. Hyunmi tries to get away but Jungkook wraps his arms around her waist, picking her up as if she weighed nothing and walk out through the back door that exits to the street.

Hyunmi: Put me down!!!

He puts her down then studies her face. She has a few scratches, some are bleeding and her bottom lip is busted, but nothing too big. He pulls out his phone and dials a number. Hyunmi is too lost in her thoughts to even bother listening to what he's saying. He hangs up, putting his phone back in his pocket.

Jungkook: Give me your car keys

Hyunmi doesn't say anything nor move. He sighs and repeats himself. She slowly looks at him and hands him the keys.

Jungkook: Where did you park?

She still does not say anything but starts walking. Jungkook follows and they get to where she parked her car. He unlocks the car and opens the car door on the passenger side for her. After she gets in and he shuts the door, he goes to the driver's side and gets in. He turns the engine on and drives off.

Complete silence. They're in complete silence. She's been staring out of the window the whole time, sitting up straight. A lot of things are going on in his mind, causing him to be speeding without realizing. Hyunmi takes note of this and looks at what speed he's going at. 97mph and accelerating. Her eyes widen.

Hyunmi: Slow down..

The speed is still accelerating.

Hyunmi: Jungkook, slow down.

It's over 100 now and careful she places her hand on his arm causing him to come back to reality.

Hyunmi: Slow down..

The car is begins to slowly, going towards what the speed limit is.

Jungkook: Sorry..

She takes her hand off and looks back out towards the window.

Jungkook pulls up to his uncle's café. Yoona is still here and he sees his hyung's car. They exit the car and go into the café. Once they get in, they see Yoona, Jin and Hoseok. Yoona is standing in front of the table that Jin and Hoseok are sat at. In front of Jin is a first aid kit. Yoona pulls up a chair in front of Jin for Hyunmi to sit at. She slowly makes her way over to the seat and sits down feeling awkward. Jin opens up the first aid to clean her wounds then adds ointment afterward. Her lip appears the worst but her other scratches are actually worse. She's still sitting down with her hands on her lap and she staring at them. As for everyone else, they are over at the counter, talking over what had happened.

Hoseok: She looks exhausted

Yoona: She probably is..

Jin: Maybe you should go drop her off. Hoseok and I will follow behind so you can come with us afterward.

Jungkook just nods as he's watching Hyunmi.

Hoseok: Do you think anyone filmed you guys?

Jungkook: From what I saw, there was surprisingly no one filming the fight.

Jin: Hm..

Yoona: I guess we just have to hope that there was no one filming

Jungkook: Yeah..alright, let's go drop her off. Thank you noona.

Yoona: Anytime

They're close by Hyunmi's. The car ride was again, silent. Jungkook sighs.

Jungkook: I understand you don't want to speak but who was that girl and why did you fight her?

Hyunmi stays quiet for a bit before sighing.

Hyunmi: That's Gina..and..we ended up fighting because she was talking about someone I care about in an un-mannered way that I did not like.

Jungkook: ..I didn't know that was Gina..

Hyunmi: Does it make any difference?

Jungkook: I suppose not..who was she talking about?

Hyunmi: Doesn't matter

Jungkook: ..Are you okay?

Hyunmi: The fight was nothing

Jungkook: I'm not talking about the fight

Hyunmi: ....

Jungkook: Are you or are you not?

Hyunmi: It doesn't matter whether I am or not..I don't want to talk anymore.

The car ride was kept silent after that. They get to her house, he hands her the car keys and she walks up to the front door. Jungkook walks over to Jin's car but watches Hyunmi. She doesn't enter though, she sits down on her steps with sigh. She pulls her legs to her chest, rests her chin in between her knees and hugs her legs as she looks at the ground.

Jungkook looks down as he gets into the car and Jin drives away.
