Naina sits quietly keeping her eyes closed feeling so helpless... her life was simple and relaxed till today morning but now everything has changed... seems all these years of her attempts to keep herself insane turned futile... with just one glimpse of Sameer and his presence around she lost all her sanity and peace...

Swati pacing here and there in room frustratedly asked keeping her hand on her waist, "tu bolegi kuchh yeh sab kya hai... I mean kaun hai voh baahar jise Nehu itne pyaar se gale laga kar apna Papa kah rahi hai aur tu usey rok bhi nahin rahi... I mean aise kaise koi anjaan hamari bachchi ke itane kareeb aa sakta hai... aaj tak toh tu ne kabhi aisa hone nahin diya..." she was highly confused seeing Naina so quiet, as in past she had never allowed any stranger to come across near her little one... she was always very protective towards her being single parents... it was always Swati who keep her in control to not to overburden Nehu with her over possessiveness...

Naina slowly opened her eyes looking at Swati... she doesn't know how to say but now things are beyond her control, and she must unleash the secrets she hid for so many years from her... taking a deep sigh she replied, "he is Sameer... my husband..."

Swati remained shocked as never heard anything earlier about him and unable to recognize... she asked, "your husband... matlab your ex-husband... par achanak yahaan kaise... aur Nehu... tu ne Nehu ko uske paas kyun jaane diya... tu ne toh kaha tha that he has moved on and he is married now... aur tu achanak mili kahaan unse... aur mili bhi thi toh ghar kyun lekar aayi... I mean tu ne mana kyun nahin kiya..." unknown to Naina, she had always hated the person who left her best friend in pain alone and move on in his life. 

Naina replied mockingly, "mere chahne se kabhi kuchh hua hi kahaan hai... aaj bhi yeh sab achanak... I mean mujhe kuchh samajh nahin aa raha ki Sameer yahaan achanak kaise aa gaye aur ab voh mujhse kyaa chahte hai... I am more surprised ki Nehu unhein kaise jaanti hai... maine toh kabhi unke baare mein Nehu ko kuchh nahin bataya aur naa hi kabhi unki photo bhi dikhayi thi... infact Nehu ne kabhi mujhse apne Papa se milne ki zid bhi nahin ki lekin aaj achanak Sameer se mil kar voh itani khush ho gayi ki mein usey rok bhi nahin paayi... lekin usne unhein pehchana kaise... aur voh unhein Papa kyun kah rahi hai..."

Swati replied sitting next to her, "haan voh actually aaj subah hospital mein ek incident hua tha..." she narrates whatever happened and how Nehu was insisted trying to convince all that she had met with her father... "mujhe laga shayad yeh uska bharam hai ya phir voh hamesha ki tarah masti kar rahi hai... isliye maine iss baat ko itna seriously nahin liya..."

Seeing Naina so surprised that how can Nehu called a stranger her father, Swati told her, "lekin aaj poora din Nehu bohot upset thi... uski aankhen har waqt jaise kisi ko dhundh rahi thi... na usne shaadi enjoy ki aur na hi kisi se koi baat ki... poora din bas gumsum si baithi rahi... isiliye toh mein usey lekar ghar jaldi vaapas aa gayi... mujhe laga shayad uska man nahin hai ya shayad voh tujhe miss kar rahi hai... lekin ab samajh aaya voh tujhe nahin apne Papa ko miss kar rahi thi..."

Naina said slowly, "lekin voh Nehu ke Papa nahin hai... ab kaise samjhau Nehu ko ki yeh sab uska ek bharam hai jo jaldi hi toot jayega... meri bachchi phir se akeli ho jayegi... Sameer ka apna ek pariwaar hai aur voh jaldi hi unke paas vaapas chale jayenge toh Nehu ko yeh jhuthi ummid dena sahi nahin hai... aaj tak usne kabhi mujhse koi sawaal nahin kiya lekin Sameer ke jaane ke baad mein kaise usey sambhalungi..." she cried thinking how much all this will effect on her fragile heart... how will she explain to little one that Sameer has no blood relation with her and he is not her father... she was more surprised on Sameer's behaviour that why he is showering his fake love and affection who will later break her little fragile heart...

Swati asked confusingly, "lekin jis tarah Sameer itne pyaar se Nehu ko gale laga rahe the mujhe nahin lagta yeh sab dikhawa tha... I mean shayad voh sach mein usey pyaar karte ho... tu baat toh karke dekh..."

Naina, "lekin ab unka apna bhi ek pariwaar hai aur mein kabhi nahin chahungi ki meri ya Nehu ki wajah se unki hansti khelti zindagi mein koi toofan aaye... hamara rishta khatam ho chuka hai aur Nehu sirf aur sirf meri beti hai... aaj unke do pal ke pyaar dikhane se hamara sach nahin badal jayega ki unhein apne pariwaar ke paas vaapas jaana hi hoga... hamara rishta ek beeta hua kal hai jo vaapas kabhi palat kar nahin aayega"

Taking a deep sigh she said looking nowhere, "kuchh rishton ki umra bohot chhoti hoti hai lekin dard zindagi bhar ka de jaate hai... maana jo hua voh sirf meri kismat thi jis mein kisi ki galti nahin lekin mein apni beti ka dil kabhi nahin tootane dungi... jhuthi ummiden bohot chubhati hai jab sachchai ka saamna hota hai..." though she herself left Sameer long ago but it always hurt her that how easily and early he moved on... this may be the reason why he won't able to find her... with his capabilities it was not difficult for him to track her, if he really wished for so...

Gathering all her courage she stood, "mujhe Sameer se baat karni hi hogi... iss tarah achanak aakar voh meri aur Nehu ki zindagi mein interfere nahin kar sakte... voh nahin samajh rahe ki jab voh vaapas apni duniya mein chale jayenge tab Nehu ke dil par kya beetegi... mein kaise usey samjhaungi... unse bichhadane ka dard mein sah chuki hoon, lekin meri bachchi voh dard kabhi nahin sahegi..." she stormed out from room to talk to Sameer to ask his motive to suddenly appear in their life and behaving like nothing has happened...

Naina coming out search the whole house but there was no trace of Sameer and Nehu... few minutes back only she went inside with Swati leaving them both talking to each other... a sudden panic and fear struck in her mind, "kahin Sameer Nehu ko mujhse dur toh nahin kar denge... jaise ek din maine unhein akele chhod diya tha..."

Her heart protest, "nahin, Sameer aisa kabhi nahin kar sakte... unki aankhon mein Nehu ke liye pyaar najar aa raha tha... thode ziddi aur sadu jaroor hai lekin voh kabhi kisi ko dhokha nahin dete..."

She decided to go out to search them when suddenly saw a chit pasted on the door... a sigh relief came to her heart reading, "we are going to park"

Naina sits back on sofa feeling relieved that they had gone out playing in park and left a note to not to make her worried... she knew how much crazy her little one and always insist to go to park all the time... she also loves to play football like Sameer...

In park

Nehu guided Sameer to a nearby small park, well maintained for society kids to play safely... altogether he carried her little one in his arms as never wanted to leave her for a moment... whenever he had spent time with Aryan, he always missed her Angel more and willing to do all little fun with her... now finally he got the chance which he never wanted to waste anymore.

Since Swati and Naina both are not very sporty person, Nehu always missed to play football with them... she told Sameer how much she loves to play football but doesn't know much... since he himself was a football champion in his college days, he feels thrilled thinking Angel has same interest in sports... he was now more eager and willing to play with her...

They both started playing having their fun time when few more kids of her same age join them...

Nehu excitedly holds Sameer hand and introduce all, "dekho yeh mere Papa hai... maine kaha tha na mere Papa aa jayenge, lekin tum log maante nahin the... dekha mein kabhi jhuth nahin bolti..." she frowned slightly recalling how kids always asked her about her father and she was always silent...

She raised her head looking at Sameer, "Papa, yeh log meri baat hi nahin maante the... ab aap hi inhein kaho ki aap mere Papa ho aur hamesha mere saath rahoge, jaise inke Papa inke saath rehte hai..." she said making a cute pout in a complaining tone...

Sameer bent till her height caressed her little head, "don't worry Angel, aapke Papa ab kabhi aapse dur nahin jayenge... hum hamesha saath rahenge... Promise..."

One of the kids asked keeping his hand on his waist angrily, "kya aap sach mein Nehu ke Papa ho... toh aap kahaan the itne din... aapko maloom hai voh kitna miss karti thi..." he asked with a slight anger as Nehu is always the most popular amongst them and they all loved her so much... they had seen her crying silently missing his presence in her life...

Another kid asked furiously, "aap office mein itna busy kyun rehte the ki hamari Nehu ko milne bhi nahin aate the... koi Papa aisa nahin karte... aapne kitna hurt kiya hamari friend ko..."

Another kid asked sternly, "aur aap aaj achanak kaise aa gaye... aapko pata hai Nehu akele mein kitna roti thi lekin kabhi kisi se kuchh nahin boli..." all other kids started bombarding lots of questions from Sameer telling him how much she was missing his existence in her life and always felt sad seeing other kids with their parents... but still never complained to her mother and Mausi... it was their little secret...

Sameer feeling hurt that how much his Angel has suffered at such a small age but still too sensible to never complaint anyone... though Nanu was always there for him but he himself has bear this pain since his childhood of an incomplete family, hence knew how much its hurt...

Sameer turned his focus towards Angel and lifted her cute little face in his big palms... as he had thought, her eyes were down and she was sobbing... her priceless tears trickled down her chubby cheeks... he wiped it gently pulling her little one in his arms he said, "I promise, mein aaj ke baad kabhi apni Angel ko akela nahin chhodunga... kuchh bhi ho jaaye lekin Angel aur Papa hamesha saath rahenge... promise" he smiled giving an assurance to all furious kids, who were all ready to give him a good peace of mind...

Angel parted slightly raised her little finger, "Angel Promise."

Sameer crossed his own little finger with hers smilingly, "Angel Promise" they both smiled hugging each other giving the much require assurance to their hearts that they will never apart... all other kids join them in a big group hug, feeling happy for their little crime partner...

Later they all again started playing football with Sameer, who was more elated to teach his skills to his Angel... Sameer slimed seeing Nehu keep praising her father's skill showing off in front of her friends... like father, like daughter...

Oblivious to them, two persons standing at a little distance heard their all conversation, their complaints and how Sameer assured to all... shedding uncontrollable tears they both left without coming upfront...

Naina coming back home with Swati was more confused seeing Sameer promising to all that he will always be with Nehu... he has his own life and family then how can he promise to all... she knew Sameer never lie and do fake commitments... he is man of his words and always fulfil all his promises... but how can he do this now?

Swati receiving an urgent call from hospital left leaving Naina alone... she remains seated in living hall waited for them to come back, so that she can get the chance to talk with Sameer... she has so many questions and not getting chance to talk with him... even if she asked earlier, he didn't reply straight, like always...

After waiting for more than one hour, she heard Nehu's chirpy voice coming from outside, chatting happily with Sameer non-stop... a smile spread on her lips seeing them together as this was always her dream to let Sameer meet her Nehu once... she was expecting same when Arjun arranged her visit to India but shattered knowing how easily and early Sameer has moved on with his loved one...

Their gaze met the moment Sameer entered carrying Angel in her arms... if the one was confused and has so may doubts, the other one seems more than happy and enjoying every moment with the little one...

Nehu grinned widely seeing Naina, "Mumma aapko pata hai Papa ne mujhe football sikhaya... aaj maine sabko apne Papa se bhi milwaya... sab itna shock ho gaye... kisi ke Papa ko itna achchha football nahin aata... humne bohot masti ki..." she keeps telling her how much fun she had with Sameer playing her favourite game...

A tear formed in her eyes seeing her little one so happy with him... she had always tried to do best for her but never able to give her the warmth of complete family... fatherly love...

Naina stepped ahead caressing her head asking, "lekin aapke paas football kahaan se aayi... Mausi ne dilwayi thi kya..." she recalled that a day before only, Nehu has complaining about not getting a football, when she gifted her a doll set, and Swati was supporting her...

Nehu grinned widely showing the round ball in her hand, "nahin, yeh toh Papa laaye hai mere liye... dekha unhein maloom tha ki unki Angel ko kya pasand hai..." she said proudly praising her father...

Naina looked at him surprisingly when Sameer turned his gaze towards Angel ignoring Naina, "of course pata kaise nahin hoga... Angel apne Pappa ki princess hai toh Papa uske liye gift kyun nahin laate... voh bhi uski pasand ka..."

Another surprise for Naina that how come Sameer know that Nehu is always wished to play with football instead of barbie dolls... at her age most of the girls love to play with dolls but Nehu is different... is she gets her likings inherited from Sameer, who was also the captain of his football team during his college days... but how can this be possible?

Nehu, "Mumma aapko pata hai Papa ne mere saare friends ko Pizza treat di... hum sab ne khoob masti ki aur maine toh bohot saara pizza bhi khaya... Papa ne apne haath se mujhe Pizza bhi khilaaya..." she keeps telling her how Sameer offered all kids to go for a small party nearby... they all had fun time enjoying their favourite food added with a small ice-cream treat...

Naina asked surprisingly, "lekin beta aapke friends aise kaise aapke saath baahar chale gaye... unki Mummy pareshaan ho rahi hongi na..."

Nehu replied, "nahin Mumma... mere saare friends ki Mummy toh Papa se bohot impress ho gayi thi... boli aapke Papa kitne achchhe hai, smart hai aur mein bilkul apne Papa ke jaisi hoon... phir sab ne easily permission de di party ke liye... dekha, hain na mere Papa smart" she said giving a flattering kiss on Sameer's cheek praising for him to get popular so soon and treat to all her friends after taking permission from their parents...

Naina frowned thinking, "park gaye the toh sirf bachchon ke saath khelna chahiye tha na... kya jarurat thi bachchon ki Mummy ke paas jaakar milne ki... ab itne handsome aur good looking person ko kaun mana karega... jahaan dekho apna charm use karne lagte hai... achchha hota mein park mein hi ruk jaati..."

Sameer seeing her irritated expression smiled, "hmm, toh Madam ko jealousy bhi hoti hai... not bad... lekin jealousy mein bhi kitni cute lagti hai meri dream girl... ab toh yeh reaction dekhne ke liye mujhe roj park jaana padega"

Nehu jerked her showing a small packet in her hand, "Mumma dekho hum aapke liye kya laaye hai..." saying this she slipped from Sameer's arm and hold Naina hand dragging her towards dining table, followed by Sameer...

Sameer pulling one chair sits beside Nehu helping her to unpack the packet with his continuous gaze landed on the person sitting in front of them... not even for a second his chilling gaze moved away from her face making her uncomfortable...

Naina to avoid sitting in front of him said, "Nehu, I am not feeling hungry, and you don't know but Mumma ko Pizza pasand nahin... so you enjoy..." saying this she stood to go inside decided to talk to him later when got chance in alone... she anyways has lost her appetite with all chaos around...

Nehu's voice halts her in between, "lekin Mumma Papa toh aapke liye aapki favourite pao bhaaji laaye hai... he said you don't like Pizza..." she said looking at Sameer admiring his thoughtfulness towards her mother... 

Naina stopped abruptly surprisingly looking at the man sitting in front, "he still remembered my likings..." a soft tear formed in her eyes ready to burst...

To avoid any awkwardness in front of Nehu, she sits back started serving in two plates... she shifted one plate in front of Sameer getting their attention when Nehu asked, "aapko kaise pata ki Papa ne bhi nahin khaaya..." she asked looking them both one by one strangely... 

Naina feeling slightly embarrassed shifted her focus on food in her plate... how can she voiced her thoughts that she knew that Sameer can never eat before feeding her... may be few things will never change...

Without saying a word Sameer also starts having his food listening all non-stop chatting from Angel, intensely staring to Naina... its after so many years he was seeing her sitting in front of her, but it pained seeing the awkwardness and deadly silence between them... he misses the time when they always relish the time to spent in alone with non-stop chatting...

Gaining their attention suddenly Nehu asked, "Mumma, aapko pata hai Papa ko bhi meri tarah football pasand hai... unhone bataya ki voh college mein apni team ke captain bhi the... par aapka favourite game kaun sa hai... maine kabhi aapko kuchh khelte nahin dekha"

Naina smiled looking at her, about to reply but in an instant her smile vanished from her face hearing Sameer, "Hide and Seek... Angel aapko nahin maloom ki aapki Mummy toh master hai iss game hai... correct Naina..." he asked smirking sarcastically giving her a chill gaze...

Naina jolt hearing him taunting her to run away from everyone and hide herself for such a long time until he finds her... her mind shrieked making her shuddered with a thought, "Is this mean that Sameer was searching for me everywhere from all these years... but why?"

Rest of the dinner went peaceful with Angel's continuous chatting with Sameer, seems like she will fill the gap of all past years in one day... Naina's eyes brimmed seeing her even feeding Sameer by her own hands when he refused to eat more, like the same way how he used to feed her when she was not well and always has low appetite... their acts look so alike always...

Sameer not able to bear the silence between them left the dining table with his half-eaten food in plate... he carried Angel in his arms to their room ignoring Naina sitting alone... coming back to their room, Sameer took her to bathroom by himself...

Naina came inside her room hearing their laughter coming from bathroom... she mesmerized seeing the view ahead... Sameer and Angel were all indulged in playing with water throwing on each other, making the whole sink area wet... they both were completely wet but least bothered...

Naina went ahead handing them two towels to wipe themselves and left leaving them alone knowing Sameer will still not talk to her peacefully... she was more surprised as Nehu never allowed them to give her bath now days, insisting that she is a big girl but now with Sameer she was behaving like a toddler and letting him to do all her chores... even Sameer's behavior is also totally opposite now... his reserved, introvert, clean freak, arrogant self has turned into a caring, loving father who adores his child very much...

Placing night dress for Nehu on bedside table, she left the room giving them their own fun time... coming out after wiping themselves, Sameer makes her wear her night dress after drying her waist length long hair... no doubts her hairs were as soft and silky same as Naina and his own... taking his own night dress he went back to bathroom to change inside...

Coming out he noticed two milk glasses kept on side table, must have left by Naina for them... an instant smile spread on his face, "hmm... toh Madam ne realize kar hi liya ki maine dinner theek se nahin kiya... bina kahe dil ki har baat samajh lena aaj bhi aata hai tumhein, bas mere dil mein tumhare liye kitna pyaar hai yahi nahin samajh paati... kaash agar ek baar mujhse baat ki hoti toh hum teeno ko yun akelapan sahna nahin padta... mere aur tumhari tarah hamari Angel ke bachpan ke yeh kuchh saal kitne painful rahe honge... lekin ab kuchh bhi ho jaaye mein tumhein aur Angel ko apne se dur kabhi nahin jaane dunga... pyaar se nahin toh zid hi sahi... after all mere weird ideas ki aadat jo hai tumhein..."

He was all lost in his thoughts smiling whole heartedly after so long... feeling of being around her itself was good enough to keep his heart calm... let alone rest of the matters which are still unresolved between them...

Naina came back to check on Nehu, but halt at the doorstep seeing Sameer standing only in a pair of sweatpants fresh from the shower. His hair was damp, his strong citrus, and the masculine smell filled the room... her mouth dropped seeing his well- toned, tanned body, tight abs showing off his six-pack... his hard biceps muscles proved that he hit the gym regularly...

Her trance broke hearing a soft whisper, close to her face, "all yours wifey... jitna chahe dekh lo..." his chuckle made her look up into his eyes... he said waving his hand to indicate all of himself...

He must have noticed her action of checking him out... she got so embarrassed beyond words, cheeks flushed to a deep shade of red, makes her quickly rushed out from the room making things more awkward for herself... though a loud laughter followed her behind...
