Naina was still in daze seeing Sameer accepting their relation so easily without any hesitation... even his voice was so calm and confident that she has to blink hard several times to make sure she wasn't dreaming at all... they remain seated lost in each other, when her mobile rings breaking their trance...

Naina coming back to senses, quickly picked up her phone when heard their friends excited voice, "Naina kaun si ice cream khaayegi... jaldi se bata... tera favorite flavor hi le aaun hamesha wala..." her voice was so loud that can be heard easily out....

Sameer took the phone from her hand and keeping it on speaker replied, "sorry Preeti par Naina ice-cream nahin khaayegi... she is not allowed to have it..." he said giving a hard look to her...

Pandit laughed replied from other side, "toh bhai tu bata de tu kaun si khaayega..." before he replied, Naina said, "koi si bhi nahin... do din pehle itna cold aur fever tha aur ab ice-cream... tum donon bas dinner lekar aa jaao... aur kuchh nahin chahiye... aur khaani hai toh baahar hi kha kar aana... okay..." saying this she cut the line getting slightly annoyed... the expression on both of their faces were same...

Sameer chuckled seeing her cute angry face, "you look more pretty in anger... kabhi kabhi gussa hona bhi achchha hai... Ms angry young lady..." she looked at him surprisingly when realizing his teasing tone, she burst into laughter whole heartedly...

Sameer asked suddenly, "vaise Preeti ko pata kaise chala hamari shaadi ka... I mean koi baat huyi thi kya... kuchh hua tha kya aaj office mein..." he asked purposely as wants to know how she feels about their relation and her comfort level in it... he wants to make a move ahead but getting difficult to know what's going on in her mind, as she is very much introvert and hardly share her feelings with any one... especially not with him....

Naina said replying casually, "nahin office mein kuchh nahin hua tha... sab mere mobile ki wajah se aur voh shaitaan Chinni hai na.. sab usi ki masti thi... usi ne subah chhup kar hamari voh photo..." she stopped suddenly to blurt when he himself utter, "voh subah mandir waali photo..." they both shut their eyes feeing embarrassed on how to face each other...

They opened their eyes avoiding looking each other when finally, Sameer said, "vaise achchhi photo thi... sorry by mistake I saw it in your mobile..." he looked her cheeks turned red completely...

To make her comfortable he said, "vaise you should keep your mobile locked... aise koi bhi dekh le... it's not safe... you didn't keep any password even..." he said as a matter of fact that anyone can see her personal details...

She said looking down, "doesn't matter because I don't have anything to hide... kuchh nahin hai jo koi mujhse chhinana chahega and no one interested in my life... vaise bhi agar kisi ko janana ho toh uska dil padna chahiye... mobile toh sirf ek jhutha bharam hai, jahaan sab banawati hai, sirf duniya ko dikhane ke liye... yeh kisi ke dil ka aaina nahin ban sakta..."

Sameer thinks, "vaise hi jaise tum pad leti ho... bina kahe mere dil ki baat samajh leti ho... par har kisi mein yeh khubi kahaan... har kisi ka dil tumhari tarah saaf aur sachcha nahin ho sakta... isiliye darta hun ki duniya ki sachchai tumhein tod na de... aaj jo hua agar tumhein pata laga toh shayad dosti shabd se vishwas uth jayega... par mein nahin chahta ki Kamya jaisi ladki ki wajah se tumhara vishwas rishto par se uthey..."

Sameer asked to divert the topic, "vaise yeh Preeti kya kah rahi thi tumhare favorite flavor wali baat... usey kaise pata tumhari favorite ice-cream kaun si hai..."

Naina said cutely, "voh hum donon roj office mein lunch ke baad jaate hai na ice-cream parlor... isiliye usey pata hai mera favorite flavor kaun sa hai... jab bhi humein party karni hoti hai hum ice-cream khaate hai..."

Sameer shockingly shout on her, "tum... matlab tum roj ice-cream khaati ho... dimaag kharaab hai tumhara kya... bimaar padna hai kya... how could you be so careless... aur mujhe kyun nahin bataya kabhi..."

Naina replied slowly looking down, "par mujhe bohot pasand hai... sorry... ab se nahin khaaungi..." she said like an innocent baby who apologize for her naughtiness...

Sameer taking a deep sigh control his anger, "dekho... mera matlab yeh nahin tha... I was just concerned about you... you are still on medicines and your immunity is extremely weak... these things can affect your health... please..."

Naina giving a surprised looked agreed to him but feels extremely delighted from inside that he is really concern about her... again Preeti's word echoed in her mind, "is he also starts liking her... or is he is in love with her...?"

Sameer keep adoring her face without uttering a word, making her bit more uncomfortable... since their marriage, they hardly spend time in alone and talk to each other... and today they are unexpectedly alone in Preeti's house, during mid night.... and his silence killing her more added to his constant intense look on her...

She lifted her head slightly looking at him with corner of her eyes... suddenly her gaze shifted down from his face... he was sitting in front of her with top two buttons of his shirt opened... she quickly looked away from his well-built body with blushing cheeks...

Naina to avoid any rational thoughts in her mind suddenly asked, "aap... aap coffee piyenge... mein abhi laayi..." saying this she stood hurriedly getting nervous when he held her hand to stop thinking, "pichhli baar haath jala liya tha iss ghabrahat mein... kahin phir se... jab bhi saath hote hai itna ghabra jaati hai aur khud ko hi chot pahuncha deti hai..."

She turned to look at him when he said, "nahin... voh abhi dinner karna hai na... tum... tum baitho, voh log aate hi honge.." she sits back hesitantly as the chance to escape from his gaze missed again....

Sameer said suddenly, "you look different today... I mean..." he was somehow feels loss of words to praise her beauty...

She interrupts getting worried, "mujhe pata tha achchha nahin lagega mujh par... Preeti maani hi nahin... mein abhi change karke aati hun..."

Before she left inside, again trying to hide from him, he stops her, "nahin... mera matlab bohot achchha lag raha hai... naya dress liya hai... this color really suits on you... I must say aaj tum bohot sundar lag rahi ho..." it's his first time praising someone and feels extremely nervous...

She smiled getting relieved said, "nahin... voh Preeti ke parents uske liye laaye the... par usne zid karke mujhe bhi pehna diya... ek tarah se uske parent's ka aashirwaad hai yeh hamare liye..."

Sameer said with a sad face, "oh... she must be missing her parents too much... that's why you came here tonight..."

Naina hummed in response but felt sad inside missing her own parents, "apno ki yaad toh sabko aati hai... chaahe voh aapko yaad kare yaa na kare... har kisi ki kuchh na kuchh majboori hoti hai varna apno se dur rehna kise pasand hai..." she herself has not met her parents or visited them even once after her marriage... her mother strictly warned her to not to come to meet them until she arranges money for them, ignoring her feelings for them...

Sameer seeing her gloomy face realized her pain but remain quiet thinking she must be missing her parents also... but surprisingly why no one has ever come to meet her since after their marriage... she also never asked him to go there and meet them although they are staying in same city...

Soon Pandit Preeti came back carrying food... Naina quickly left in kitchen to help Preeti in serving food...

Pandit came to Sameer, "ab toh jee bhar gaya tera mil kar ... tere chakkar mein pehli baar yeh harkat ki hai maine... maana mujhe khaana bohot pasand hai par kabhi zindagi mein aise bina bulaye kisi party mein nahin gaya par tujhe kaun samjhaye... apna tera koi impression hai nahin Naina par aur mera tu Preeti par pakka banane nahin dega... pata hai kitni khatarnaak ladki hai... poore raaste hamare achanak aane wali baat par aise ajeeb gareeb se sawaal puchh rahi thi ki mein sach bolne hi wala tha... kaise control kiya mujhe hi pata hai..." he said glaring him to spoil his image in front of Preeti...

Sameer narrowed his eyes, "look who's talking... like you are not enjoying with Preeti... kaise ek minute mein baahar bhaaga tha... sab pata hai mujhe... even you should thanks to me for giving this idea... varna tu toh ek formal wish se kaam chalane wala tha... aur waise bhi you don't need to worry... usey hamari shaadi ke baare mein pata hai... she is a nice girl..."

Pandit smiled shyly rubbing back of his head, "yaar... sach mein kuchh bhi kaho, ladki bohot cute hai... mera toh man kar raha tha ki aaj hi propose kar dun, par socha kahin jyaada jaldi na ho jaaye... aisa lagta hai jaise bas isi ka intzaar tha meri zindagi mein... bilkul perfect..."

Sameer smiled happily for his friend, "chalo hum mein se kisi ko toh finally pyaar mila... you are lucky... Preeti is a nice girl..."

Pandit said keeping his hand on his shoulder, "lucky toh tu bhi hai... Naina se achchhi saathi nahin milegi... dekh abhi bhi kah raha hun... yeh sab chhod aur usey apne dil ki baat bata de... dekhna zindagi khushiyon se bhar jayegi..."

Sameer lost in his thoughts said slowly, "I wish hamari life itni aasaan hoti..."

Pandit knowing his inner turmoil didn't said anything more... he knows Sameer's own apprehensions stopping him taking a step ahead towards her... before confessing his love to her he just wanted to be assure that Naina is truly happy and wants to be with him whole heartedly... not just in pressure of this forced marriage on her...

Naina Preeti served food for them when Pandit asked, "tum log nahin khaaoge... I mean itni raat tak toh mein kai round mein khaana kha sakta hun..."

Preeti laughed, "chalo koi toh mere jaisa mila mujhe... varna yeh Naina toh bilkul chidiya ki tarah khaati hai... iske aage toh mujhe hi sharam aa jaaye..."

Naina teased her, "achchha hai na ab mera pichccha chhod degi.... ab mil gaya na partner tujhe toh enjoy kar uske saath..." Preeti and Pandit smiled feeling shy...

Sameer knowing Naina's habit to eat in mid night also insist her to eat... seeing her red eyes he observed early that she might have cried and surely didn't eat properly... but now since he is here, how could he let her stay empty stomach... he purposely made her sit next to him, keep serving her from his own hand knowing her habit of skipping meal...

Dinner went well with jokes and fun from Pandit and Preeti... Sameer seems completely lost and busy in staring her and remain quiet, hardly paying any attention to his surroundings... Naina avoiding his intense gaze tried to remain focused on their jokes, to control her own emotions and desires...

After dinner, Naina helped Preeti to keep the dishes back in kitchen... Pandit gesture Sameer to take a leave but he seems in a no mood to leave... he budged his elbow requesting with a cute pleading face, "yaar ab chal bhi de... ab kya subah ki coffee aur breakfast kha kar saath hi office jayega... kuchh toh sharam kar aur meri thodi si izzat rakh le... dekh donon kitna thaki huyi lag rahi hai aur mujhe bhi neend aa rahi hai... achchha lagega ki ladkiyaan dhakke de kar nikaale... thodi der mein subah ho jayegi... baaki ka kal ghoor lena Naina ko office mein.... okay..."

Sameer frowned glaring him but seeing no option agreed finally... he went towards Preeti, "once again Happy Birthday Preeti... see I didn't get any gift for you today but wants to promise you that whenever in your life, you seek any help, any support, I will be there with you... you can count on me..."

Naina smiled seeing his genuine concern for Preeti, "Sameerji, baahar se kitne bhi rude ho par dil se kitne sensitive hai... aaj Preeti ke liye jo bhi kiya, yahaan aaye, usey wish kiya, usey support kiya, usye akela nahin mehsoos hone diya... mein toh phir bhi Preeti ki dost hun par jo aaj inhone Preeti ke liye kiya uske liye jitna bhi thanks kahun kam hoga... ek CEO hokar bhi apne employees ka kitna khayal hai inhein..."

He looked at Naina expecting some response from her to stop him going but feel dejected seeing her so lost in her own thoughts

Pandit while talking to Preeti moved ahead towards door when Sameer was bit annoyed that she didn't once stop him going... he said with a rough tone, "we are leaving but be careful... tum donon akeli ho and don't open the door for anyone... and you better sleep early... it's too late... varna kal office bhi der se aaogi... and I hate people coming late in office... okay..." he said firmly ensuring she should reach office early as unable to stay longer without seeing her anymore...

Naina nodded her head obediently as can't argue with him on this... she smiled slowly with a naughty smile on her face, "darne ki kya jarurat humein... I am sure guards rahenge na saari raat neeche..." she recalled how last time he sent two guards to protect them...

Sameer hiding his smile said sternly, "don't try to be over smart... just take care of yourself..." she smiled accepting his concern and care for her whole heartedly...

Preeti offered to come downstairs to drop them but Pandit denied, "nahin... kaafi raat ho gayi hai... tum log rest karo... will leave..." getting another deadly glare from Sameer cursing him, "thodi der aur saath rah lete par nahin isey jyaada hi gentleman banana hai Preeti ke saamne... saare mannerism yahin dikhayega nalayak..."

They left in elevator bidding bye... Naina Preeti came back and locked door from inside...

Naina went into balcony seeing their car going out of her sight feeling sad, "hum ek saath ek kamre mein rehte huye bhi kitne dur hai ek dusre se... par aaj aapka yun mujhse dur jaana, pata nahin kyun mujhe achchha nahin lag raha... maana aap Preeti ko wish karne aaye the par kaash mein aapko thodi der aur rok paati... par jaanti hun mere paas koi haq nahin... na chaahte huye bhi aapki najdikiyaan mujhe sapne dekhne par majboor kar rahi hai... mat kijiye aisa... bohot mushkil ho rahi hai khud ko rokne mein... aap galat nahin hai par jaanti hun mujhe kabhi nahin apna sakenge..." her eyes become blurry suddenly feeling lonely...

She jerked feeling a soft hand encircling her from back... she turned to her side, smiling hiding her tears when Preeti said, "thank you Naina... aaj teri wajah se mein apne birthday par khush hun... sach kahun toh shaam tak lag raha thi ki kitni akeli pad gayi hun... koi mera apna nahin mere paas... par dekh tu aayi aur phir Pandit ke saath Sir bhi..."

Naina smiled turning to her side, "tu khush hai mujhe aur kuchh nahin chahiye... vaise tujhse shikayat hai ki tu ne mujhe bataya nahin Mr Maheshwari yahaan aane wale hai.. tu toh HR mein hai na.. tujhe toh pata hi hoga na..." she said showing fake anger...

Preeti asked confusingly, "kya bol rahi hai... mujhe kaise pata hoga ki sir yahaan aane wale the... aur iska mere department se kya lena dena..."

Naina said cutely, "kyun hamari policy hogi na ki har employee ko aise raat ko ghar jaakar wish karte hai... varna Sir yahaan kyun aate tujhe wish karne... voh bhi itani raat ko..."

Preeti looked at her amazingly and hit hardly on her forehead, "bewkoof ladki... tujhe abhi bhi lagta hai voh mujhe wish karne aaye the... hey bhagwan... kya dhakkan dost mili hai mujhe... kisi din paagal ho jaaungi mein iss nalayak ke saath... bacha lo mujhe...." she said dramatically praying to god...

Naina rubbing her forehead asked innocently, "kyun... ab maine aisa kya kah diya..."

Preeti laughed keeping her hand on her shoulder, "meri pyaari si, buddhu si Naina... Sir yahaan mujhe wish karne nahin tujhse milne aaye the... samjhi kuchh jhalli... varna koi CEO kabhi aadhi raat ko ek ladki ko wish karne jayega... tu ne toh unhein Santa bana diya jo aadhi raat ko sab bachchon ko gift dene jaate hai... Mr Santa Maheshwari... vaise cute lagenge na, saare employees ke gahr wish karne jaate huye..." she laughed loudly imagining Sameer distributing birthday gifts to all staff during mid night...

Naina realizing her folly as a matter of fact said with a serious face, "hmm... mujhe bhi ajeeb lag raha tha, phir socha shayad koi company policy hogi... par achanak unko yahaan saamne dekh kar meri toh vaise bhi sochne samajhne ki taakat chali jaati hai... unake aage kuchh bol hi nahin paati..."

Preeti make her sit in front of her holding her hand, "dekh Naina, yeh tera aur Sir ka rishta kaisa hai, tum donon iss baare mein kya sochte ho, mein is mein kuchh nahin kahungi... tu ne aaj jitne vishwas ke saath mujhe sab bataya hai, mein wada karti hun ki kabhi tere alawa iss baare mein kisi se baat nahin karungi... aaj maine Pandit se bhi nahin ki... sachchi..."

She continued, "par ek ladki aur dost hone ke naate itna jaroor kahungi ki Sir ke dil mein tere liye kuchh toh jaroor hai... ya sach kahun toh kuchh se bohot jyaada hai... I mean unhein dekh kar laga ki shayad tujhe miss kar rahe the... tere bina nahin raha gaya toh yahaan, itni raat ko aa gaye... varna tu hi soch, mein unki ek mamuli si employee hun, jise voh theek se jaante bhi nahin, par phir bhi voh yahaan bina bulaye aaye... hamare saath celebrate kiya, dinner bhi kiya...

"tu hi kehti hai na ki voh kitna kam bolte hai, kisi se jyaada baat nahin karte, toh aaj bhi voh chup hi the... par unki aankhen har waqt tujh par hi thi... ek pal ke liye bhi maine unhein kahin aur dekhte nahin dekha... tujhse baatein karne ke liye kitne bechain the par tu kuchh bol hi nahin rahi thi... tu ne toh ek baar nazar uthakar unki taraf dekha tak nahin dhang se..."

"dekh mein samajhti hun teri uljhan par agar kismat ek mauka dena chahti hai toh tu kyun pichhe hat rahi hai... thodi toh koshish kar... aankhen bandh kar lene se sachchai nahin badal jayegi... aur kah dene se ki kuchh mahine mein divorce ho jayega, abhi hua toh nahin na... haan agar phir bhi tujhe lage ki kuchh sahi nahin hua toh jo hoga voh kismat... kal kya hoga yeh soch kar aaj bhi sapne na dekhein, yeh toh galata hai na..."

"Naina mere papa kehte the ki agar nibhane ki chahat donon taraf se ho toh koi rishta kabhi khatam nahin hota... koi kaagaz kabhi kisi rishtey ke maayne nahin badal sakta... aur aaj Sir ki aankhen bohot kuchh kah rahi thi... koshish kar unki aankhon ki bhasha padne ki... thoda sa apna topper dimaag iss dil ke saath istemaal kar, saare jawaab mil jayenge..."

Preeti stood to go inside, "mein jaa rahi hun andar, mujhe pata hai tujhe akele mein waqt chahiye sochne ke liye... yeh teri zindagi hai aur iske saare faisle tujhe khud lene hai.. tu sirf voh sunane ki koshish kar jo tera dil kehna chahta hai... par sach kahun tum donon ek dusre ke liye perfect ho... kehte hai na jo bina kahe aapke dil ki baat samajh jaaye voh aapke dil ke sabse kareeb hota hai... isiliye shayad unke dil ne bhi unse kaha ki tujhe unki jarurat hai, yaad aa rahi thi tujhe unki aur dekh voh aa gaye tujhse milne... bina kahe, bina bulaye... aur haan ab yeh mat kehna ki yaad nahin aa rahi thi... teri dost hun, thoda toh teri aankhen mein bhi pad leti hun..." Preeti smiled and went inside leaving her alone...

Sameer was all lost in her thoughts looking into his mobile... their picture... when his phone beeped with some new images of their... he scrolled and smiled when heard Pandit, "maine socha ek photo se kab tak kaam chalayega... toh bina bataye thodi aur kheench di... ab palat palat kar dekhte rehna... aur aaj jaise tu usey ghoor raha tha, toh aaj ki yaadein toh pakka camera mein qaid honi chahiye thi, itani pyaari jo lag rahi thi meri behen..." he grinned getting a smack on his head...

Sameer, "tujhe sharam nahin aati Chinni ki tarah harkatein karte huye... but I must say, photo achchhi hai... aur usase bhi jyaada voh lamhe jo humne saath bitaaye..." he smiled more seeing their photos of tonight... sitting closely having dinner together...

Pandit said, "hmm... dekha tha maine kaise ek tak usey hi dekhe jaa raha tha... jabardasti khaana khilana, usey apne paas se bhi hilane nahin dena... mujhe toh laga kahin darr ke maare voh ro hi na de... agar itna pyaar karta hai toh dikhata kyun nahin khul kar... koi tax lagega kya..."

Sameer said looking outside, "tu nahin samjhega yaar..." his gloomy voice make Pandit realize their problems... he said slowly, "dekh mein jaanta hun ki abhi bhi tu confuse hai thoda... shayad baby ki..."

Sameer shouts glaring him, "shut up... don't ever say this again..."

He was surely not ready till now to confess his feelings to her but never ever think the reason behind is the unborn child in her womb... he loves her and wants her to be in his life with her consent only... doesn't matter for him even if she is pregnant with someone's else child... for him her happiness matters most...

Pandit keep quiet but suddenly he shouts, "arey voh tu Naina ki medicine laaya tha, voh toh di hi nahin... tu ne kaha tha ki usko voh panic attack hote hai toh... kahe toh u turn kar le... abhi de aate hai... isi bahane ek baar aur mil lenge..." he winked making him smile...

Sameer pulled out the strip from his pocket and smiled seeing, "par aaj usko iski jarurat nahin padegi... maine dekha hai ki jab bhi khush rehti hai toh usey attack nahin padta... aur aaj Preeti ke saath hai na toh kuchh nahin hoga... vaise bhi usey nahin pata ki kis cheez ki dawai khaati hai voh... usey aur depression na ho isiliye maine kabhi uske haath mein dawai nahin di... jab lagta hai voh pareshaan hai toh khud hi de deta hun, aur voh bhi bina puchhe chup chap se kha leti hai... idiot... puchhati bhi nahin kuchh..." he smiled imagining her weird faces she always make seeing medicines...

Pandit smiled seeing his concern for her, "kyunki trust karti hai tujh par... poore dil se ki tu kabhi usko koi takleef nahin hone dega.... aur tu jis tarah se usey sambhalta hai na, kaun kahega ki tumhara rishta itna uljha hua hai... sach kahun toh sochta hun jab bin kahe tum donon har baat samajhte ho toh jis din khul kar apne dil ki baat ek dusre se kahoge toh duniya ki koi taakat tumhein kabhi alag nahin kar payegi... kaash voh din jaldi aaye..."

Sameer closed his eyes smiling thinking about her...
