Chapter 69: Flame of Despair
Alone began to drag Selozar's unconscious body down to his planet. Alone opened a portal, and threw Selozar through. A small snap was heard, Selozar had broken his rib.
Alone didn't give a damn, and he jumped through the portal, and picked up Selozar by the arm. Selozar then began to awake, noticing he was being dragged by Alone, he used his free hand to claw at the floor. He didn't want to go back and if that meant an eternity running then so be it. He's already fought Alone, but he's to weak to do it again.
Selozar gripped at a stone lodged deep into the ground, and kept his grip on it. He didn't want to let go. Alone noticing that he couldn't pull anymore, looked down to see a weak Selozar using his last bit of strength to get away. "Let go of the damn rock." Alone spit at Selozar, pulling on his arm harder.
Selozar refused, staying determined. His grip on the rock grew stronger. Alone sighed, and began to pull, and pull, until he dislocated Selozar's arm.
He cried out in agony, his grip loosened on the rock, but he held on. Alone sighed, and dropped Selozar's dislocated arm, and stomped on Selozar's hand, crushing it. Selozar cried out more, and Alone continued to drag Selozar as he whined.
He grew tired of Selozar's whining, and kicked him in the head, knocking him out.
About 30 minutes passed before Alone dragged Selozar into his torture room, and dropped him. Alone picked up a bloody rope, and tied Selozar to a bloody pole. Selozar's body shook in pain, but Alone didn't care. He didn't care in the slightest.
Alone laughed, causing Einin to walk in and see what he had done to Selozar. She promptly hit him, "You were supposed to bring him back with the injuries he had from the hospital!" Einin yelled. "Well, I tried but he woke up and was being an ass, and I accidentally dislocated his arm and to continue dragging him I had to break his hand."
Einin sighed, "Fine. We have to heal him first, go get the tools." Alone looked flabbergasted, "But we're supposed to show him pain! What is the thing you told me about that will cause him more pain then what I always show him?"
She chuckled, "You'll see."
Alone grabbed the healing kit, and gave it to Einin, and she began to treat his wounds. Einin was very rough, but did the job. "Let him rest for a night, if he escapes then we have the right to hurt him. I just need an hour or two before the machine is ready."
And with that Einin left the room to get back to the machine, "Don't worry, Äezōre, it's almost completed."
Alone nodded, grabbing Selozar's arm and tying it to a pole. "That isn't strong enough. He'll break free from that eventually." A voice said from behind. Alone looked up to see Foxicate in the corner, staring at Alone and Selozar.
"It's rope. Not chain. Even then, you should tie his entire body up, so he doesn't break his own arm off getting out." Alone nodded, walking off to grab some sort of chain. Foxicate walks over and stares over the body of Selozar, ready to knock him out the second he wakes up and steps out of line.
"Got some." Alone stated, walking back with a ton of chains. He grabs Selozar's body and chains his torso to the pole, and then his hands and legs together. Foxicate grabs the remaining chains and chains it around Selozar's throat, making sure Selozar doesn't escape no matter what.
"I'm headed to bed. Tell Eizatar to come sleep soon, her and the baby's health is more important then the machine." Alone demands, and began to walk up the stairs of the basement. "Got it."
Foxicate opened the rusty door to peek in and tell Einin to go to sleep. Einin was almost done with the machine, and jumped when she heard the door creak open. She turned to the door, her eyes illuminating in the darkness. "Fox, get out. I'm busy."
"Alone told me to tell you to get rest soon." Foxicate replied, not breaking eye contact with Einin. "I'm almost done. Tell Äezōre that I'll be there in around an hour or two."
Foxicate nodded, and closed the door. He didn't really pay attention to the machine, not that he could, Einin kept it quite secret, only saying it will do the most damage to Selozar.
A few hours passed, and Alone came down stairs to check on Einin. He opened the door and saw her half asleep next to the now finished machine. He ran over to pick her up. "I told you to come back once you felt tired." Alone barked, standing up while holding Einin in the bridal style. "I was almost done with the machine though..." Einin murmured, exhausted.
Alone sighed, "You said that over six hours ago." "I know..."
Einin fell asleep in Alone's arms. Alone smiled slightly, and carried Einin to bed. He gently laid her down, and crawled into bed next to her, and kissed her cheek. He had so much to live for, but it was his duty to save his planet. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't seem to save the planet.
Besides, he had a prisoner to punish for eternity. A prisoner that, in his own mind, was deserving of it all. Even now so that he almost killed Alone. The machine better hurt Selozar to the point his attitude is set straight, unlike his sexuality.
Alone sighed slightly, turning over to face away from Einin, only to feet arms wrap around him. He turned back, and began to snuggle Einin, petting her hair slightly. He did this until he eventually passed out.
...
The next morning Alone was woken up by the sound of puking from the other room. Seeing as Einin wasn't there, she probably got morning sickness. Alone chuckled, and hopped out of bed. He opened the door and saw Einin throwing up in the toilet. "I told you to come to bed earlier, you knew this would happen." Alone stated. Einin rolled her eyes, "Yeah yeah, what ever."
Einin got up, and began to walk down the stairs to the basement. Alone followed after, picking up his sword to make sure Selozar doesn't hurt Einin. The two arrived down stairs, and stared at a very panicked, scared, Selozar. "Why do you keep bringing me back!?" Selozar yelled, angry at the two for restraining him completely. "Shut up, will you?" Einin spat, and began to unlock the chains around Selozar. She first unlocked the one around his neck, to be immediately greeted with Alone's sword to his neck. Einin was about to unlock the chains from around his arms, "Wait," Alone quickly warned, and looked up stairs.
"FOXICATE!" He screamed, and a moment later Foxicate came downstairs tired as hell. "Whaaaat?"
"Einin has to unlock Selozar from his hand chains, keep him tame until we get a hold of his arms in chains again." Alone demanded. Foxicate nodded, and tightly grabbed Selozar's arms, keeping close attention to Einin unlocking his wrists. Once Selozar's wrists were free, Einin quickly grabbed the chain and Selozar's other arm, bringing the two arms together and chaining them.
Selozar barely struggled, thinking what ever they had in mind couldn't do that much damage to him.
The three began to drag Selozar to the machine, it had a heart rate monitor, loads of things that connect to he head, restraints, a computer, and other stuff attached. The three forced Selozar to sit as they restrained him to the chair, and hooked the machine up. "What are you going to do to me? Electrocute me? Because Alone already has used an electric chair on me multiple times. It isn't anything new." Selozar spat, but the three paid no mind.
"Kind of. It will shock at first, but your body will quickly adapt to it. Trust me, I used it on Foxicate as he slept." Einin explained. "You WHAT!?" Foxicate yelled, but Einin didn't address what she had said.
Einin began to type something into the computer, and then pulled up a file called 'SELOZAR.MRY' and then clicked 'INPUT'.
Suddenly the heart rate machine began, his heart rate was showing obvious fear, but Einin stood back as things went into Selozar's head. "OW, FUCK!" Selozar yelled, but quickly got used to the feeling. "This is my big punishment? This is nothing!"
Einin stood, "You just wait."
Selozar then began to feel very exhausted, but forced himself to stay awake. "What the... what's going... on..." Selozar mumbled, fighting the urge to sleep. "Rest. It'll make the process less painful." Selozar kept fighting, until Einin boosted the sleeping medication. Selozar passed out.
"What did you do to him?" Alone asked, looking down at his empress. "Nothing. I only sent subtle memories into his head that will branch out. He'll soon remember his past."
"Oh really?! And what is that going to do?!" Foxicate yelled. "You'll see. I predict that now he moved on from not knowing his past, showing it to him once he feels like he's a good person will drive him insane." Einin replied, in a stern tone looking at Foxicate.
Alone was shocked at this, but impressed. "And you suppose this will be worse then my punishments?"
Einin nodded, "Though we can only use it once, it will affect him for eternity. Now we wait until he becomes awake in his own mind..."
A few minutes passed, the three talked about normal stuff, and then they suddenly saw Selozar twitching. Foxicate was ready to knock him out again, but Einin grabbed his arm, "No. That means it's finally working."
"What's it doing?" Alone asked, "Well you see my dear Äezōre, I planted multiple broad memories that would surely dig up the ones buried inside of Selozar- or more accurately Zētozar's mind- to connect a story so he remembers his past. Even after he wakes up, he'll begin to remember more and more details. It will haunt and torture him forever while we barely have to lift a finger."
...
Selozar's Mind
Selozar awoke, but it felt as if he's been awake for hours. He blinked a bit, looking around at his surroundings. He was in armor, surrounded by multiple others in armor. He recognized his arm plate, he was one of the head guardsmen.
He looked up to see Alone, and watched him threaten to kill the citizens if they did not merge with his empire. The people panicked, and swiftly agreed. "Bring me your leader." Alone demanded, and the people shook in fear, "Y-yes emperor Äezōre..." They stuttered, and ran off to the castle. About fifteen minutes later they returned, shaking behind their leader as him and Alone stood face to face. Selozar was terrified out of his mind, but kept watching. The other guards around him seemed completely fine, almost numb to what was happening.
Selozar then felt a sting in his head, and was about to reach up and grab it, but felt the need to stand still. He had no idea why, he just had a bad feeling about grabbing his head.
"What do you want from us, Äezōre? You've already invaded five of the Districts, and killed off the two who refused to join with yours. You have enough power as is, please, leave our land." The leader demanded, but he had a slightly begging, pleading tone. He was terrified of Alone...
Alone chuckled, taking a few steps to the leader. "Never. I wish to rule this land, and either you retreat this land to me, or everyone dies. You understand, Abacus?" Alone demanded, but the leader stood his ground, "I will never let you take this land."
Alone smirked, and drew his sword, swiftly slicing the leader's head clean off. The citizens look in fear as the watched their leader's head roll away from his body, and the body collapsing. The citizens were frozen in horror. "I heard he had a daughter, bring her forth and let her make the decision." Alone yelled out to the crowd. Nobody did anything.
"Bring his daughter to me," Alone demanded even more sternly, everyone including Selozar drew their swords out, "Or I slaughter everyone."
The citizens scattered, and brought out the daughter from inside a secret room in somebody's house. They brought her to Alone. "Why hello there, Amilliette." Alone greeted in a falsely welcoming way. "H-hello Äezōre..." she replied shyly, not making eye contact.
"Will you surrender your district to me, or will your district will suffer the same fate as your father."
Amilliette instantly agreed, crying. "Yes! Yes! You can have it, just please, don't kill me!" She yelled, tears running down her face as she shook in fear. "Very well then." Alone agreed, and sent half the troops over to begin to control the district.
Selozar stayed with Alone. The troops walked back to Alone's empire castle, which was in the middle of the districts. But this was so different to what Selozar was used to, he saw wild life, other people, and kids having fun in the streets. It was soothing in a fucked up way.
The army stopped at a place close to the castle and walked in. Selozar traveled with his group to a room, a room inside a more lavish like prison cell. He flopped on the bed, confused yet knowing what was going on. He was still trying to connect the dots.
"Zētozar, something wrong? It looks like you're new here. As in, you look terrified." A cell member commented, looking at him. Selozar knew his name, that is all Alone told him about his past. "Zētozar..?"
"I'm sorry. I don't know who you are. I don't know anything. I woke up and I'm suddenly in The Districts, in battle armor, and everything is so... peaceful!?" Selozar exclaimed, sitting up and holding his head. "Did you hit your head?! It's not peaceful in the slightest here, Äezōre's been taking over The Districts and we're his prisoners of war. We just don't know what district YOUR from, if you're even from a district in the first place." They explained.
Selozar sat a moment, before finally knowing what happened. "Hey, look. I think I know what's going on. This is probably the past... if so... I'm remembering!" Selozar exclaimed, sitting up and began to walk around. "What? You mean your brain has memories from the future? What happened?!"
Selozar thought a moment, "I'm not sure what happened, but... let's just say this place is called The Districts, and everything is dead, and nothing can exist." The person looked shocked, and confused. "Zētozar..." "Call me Selozar."
The person nodded, "Selozar... where'd that nick name come from?" "I don't know."
"So, do you remember Äezōre?" The person asked. "To well."
The person just stared at Selozar, "What does that mean?" Selozar looked back, and chuckled, "Let's just say I have a bit of a 'personal' relationship with Alone." The other prisoner looked confused, "'Alone?' Who's that?" "Oh! Sorry, Alone is Äezōre, to make things easier we call him Alone. The only person who calls him Äezōre is Einin- or Eizatar."
"I can't believe you all have nicknames for each other. It's kind of weird." "Yeah, it is. But it makes things easier." Selozar explained, to with the prisoner nodded.
"I don't agree with Äezōre on things. Once we get out of here, wanna join me to take him down?" The person asked. Selozar thought a moment, "I've taken him down before in a 1v1 before. It was a fight for my life, sure, but you know." The person looked at Selozar facinated, "You've taken down Äezōre in a fight before?!" Selozar nodded again, "Yep."
The prisoner paused again, "I forgot, you lost your memories. You can call me Granite as a nickname." "Nice to meet you Granite. Kind of..."
"Anyways, I'm sure we can take down Äezōre!" Granite cheered. Selozar was unsure, but nodded. "He's killing half the other districts soon..." "What kind of Thanos move is that?" Selozar asked, lead to a confused look by Granite. "Oh, sorry. It's a thing from the future."
Granite yawned, "I think we should sleep. We have a long day tomorrow." Selozar agreed.
Selozar flopped into the bed and began to slowly fall asleep...
But then he began to hear something...
It was a crash, followed by screams,
Selozar jolted awake, and tried to get out, but the door was locked. "The door's locked, idiot! Where are you going?!" "I heard a crash, and screams! We need to get out of here before we die!" Selozar screamed back, and kept trying to break down the door. This was also fueled by the thought of escaping Alone.
Eventually Selozar knocked the entire door off, and began to run. "Where are you going?!" Granite yelled. "I don't know!"
Suddenly Selozar stopped, causing Granite to slow down. "What the hell, Selozar? What's wro-" They then glanced up, to lock their eyes onto a giant, headless beast.
REEEEEE THIS IS A LONG ASS CHAPTER, AND I HOPE YOU LIKE IT!
Granite I just came up with, I even drew her;
