Chapter 666: A Perfectly Horrid Break Down
(You can tell I was listening to GHOST's instrumentals while writing this, so get ready for edge)
Selozar sat in the room for what felt like years, the ringing in his ears drowned out the rest of the thoughts in his head, he wanted to sleep, he wanted to see them again, he wanted to save them, but he was selfish. He's the reason the both of them died, and this is his punishment.
Selozar screamed for somebody to end his pain, he no longer wanted freedom, he wanted justice. And justice wouldn't come. Selozar began to lose his mind inside his own head. He thought if he wanted it, he didn't deserve it, and he would suffer for eternity, in this room. He screamed for somebody, anybody, to do anything to him.
Tears ran down his face constantly. He began to not eat what was given to him through a soft panel in the side of the room, and he didn't drink the water from the tube in the room. Slowly wilting away, a flower that died before it truly got to bloom.
He sat in the corner, lost in his mind. The memories of his past, a past that has been erased and redrawn exactly how it was, played through his mind. The torture, the pain. The creatures, the cries, the army. The marching. And the blood.
He's killed people.
He's a horrid person.
Selozar giggled to himself, his mind nothing but constant screaming and a reply of the memories like a broken record. He began to laugh, between the laughter he screamed, desperately trying to get out of the straitjacket, as much as he thought he didn't deserve it, he just wanted his family back, the one he loved, everyone.
Then suddenly, a door opened. In stepped Oni, who was the most merciful of the group. "I see you got yourself into your own little predicament. What'd you do this time, a punishment that makes you scream your head off every day."
Selozar looked into Oni's eyes, his own eyes full of trauma, it freaked Oni out a little. "Ask the rest. All I did was tell them what they wanted to hear." Selozar robotically replied, struggling more. Oni opened the door again, expected Selozar to try to run out, but no. He sat there, staring creepily.
Oni shut the door, and sighed. Walking back up the stairs he saw Foxicate, Einin, and Alone sitting in the poor excuse for a living room, looking lost, and deep in thought. "I went in there and tried to talk to Selozar, he barely told me anything. What did he do?" Oni asked, sitting on the ground watching everyone's eyes shift to him.
"You see, as a form of torture and punishment for beating me senselessly in a fight, almost killing me, Eizatar set up the most effective torture method she could think of as Foxicate went searching for him, to tell me his location so once I was healed I could bring him over." Alone explained, Oni nodded. "So you locked him in a room with a straitjacket on?"
"No," Einin started, looking at Alone and back, "I made a machine that digs up old memories, the creator just has to place basic memories and then it will slowly make memories recover, in more and more detail by the second." She explained, "We put Selozar in it, and he went ballistic. He was crying and screaming, begging for death. He was freaking out everyone, because normally he's either calm, scared, or begging for mercy. We've never seen him this."
Oni stared, in both disbelief and amusement, "So you became scared of him?" "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. He's threatening to kill us all and himself, we were expecting a lot, but not this... not this..." Einin mumbled, covering her face with her hands. "He knows what he's capable of now, and if he has to, he'd probably break his arms off just to kill himself. We had to throw him in there and think of a plan." Foxicate finished, Oni was confused, but had some sort of idea, "Why don't you get Albert? You know he has a crush on him, and it can probably calm him down-" "NO." Alone yelled.
"He's a prisoner for life, and until his last breath I won't allow him freedom." Alone explained, "But death is what he wants, so we have to wait until he calms down... or something..."
"That won't do shit! He'll just keep begging for death. I think he's learned his lesson." Oni yelled back. Einin sighed, "Fine, let's make a deal. We let him go, but he has to take down one of the guardians first."
The other two nodded, knowing it going to be hard. "I'll get Albert." Alone offered, trying to stand up, but almost falling down. "No! Sit down, you're still healing, Foxicate, you go." Foxicate nodded, and stood up. "I'll bring him back, don't worry." He sat up and walked out, opening a portal and walking through.
"I'm headed back to my place." Oni stated, getting up and leaving.

Foxicate traveled to the old house, the wood was coming apart, the smell of rotten bodies filled the air, and it looked as if it were to crumble at any moment. Carefully, Albert was stepping out of the wreaked house to meet face to face with Foxicate. "You..." Albert said,
"YOU'RE ASSOCIATED WITH ALONE, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO SELOZAR?!" Albert screamed, grabbed Foxicate and looking him in the eyes. "Calm down. We did something awful to Selozar, and we need you to try and calm him down." "YOU WANT MY HELP FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS YOUR FAULT!?" Albert exclaimed, disbelief in his eyes.
"We didn't know he'd react so... horrifyingly to what we did. You're the only person, besides Uleanra, and we all know what happened to him, that can calm him down. We'll even let him go, if he kills one of the guardians, specifically the one we've had the most trouble with." Foxicate laid out, his expression not changing. "But if Alone can't do it, then what makes you think Selozar can?" Albert asked, trying to calm himself a bit. "Did you forget that Selozar beat the living hell out of Alone just a week ago? He has DNA from guardians, so he has a higher chance of killing it. We don't know Selozar's full potential, and neither does he. We try it, if he loses he dies, if he wins, he gets to leave. Simple."
Albert stood in silence before nodding, "Alright, I'll come with you." "Very well then." Foxicate responded, leading Albert to the portal and taking him to the fallen kingdom of The Districts. "Be quiet, the Guardians are asleep at this hour, and the safe place is pretty far."
"Why didn't you just put the portal close to the house?" Albert questioned, keeping his tone hushed so he didn't wake anything. "Just in case, we think they can feel the radiations of our portals when they open and close, so we don't want the chance of attracting one of The Guardians to our house." Foxicate made clear.
The two walked in silence for a few minutes, Foxicate shifting his eyes every so often.
Eventually making it to the house, Foxicate opened the door with a pin code. The two walked in, the house was crowded and somewhat dirty. There were some supplies for a baby, which confused Albert. He didn't question it though. He saw Alone, and saw how hurt he was. "Hello, Albert." Alone greeted, waving slightly. "Uh- hi..." Albert replied.
"I'm sure you understand everything that's going on, Foxicate hopefully explained it to you. Selozar's downstairs, be careful, he's a bit... aggressive." Alone explained. Foxicate lead Albert to Selozar's little insane room. He opened it, and there Selozar was, laying on the floor, no emotion but fear in his eyes.
"Try and talk to him, maybe we can knock some sense into him." Foxicate told, and then shut the door, and locked it. Einin came downstairs to see. "You locked it?!" "If he kills Albert, then oh well! We tried." Foxicate shrugged, and walked upstairs. Einin groaned and pulled a chair up to sit by the door, if she heard a knock, she'd open it.
Meanwhile inside the room, Selozar looked over to see Albert. He was unfazed by his appearance, rather, he turned away and mumbled a light, "Go away."
"Selozar..." Albert approached him, and sat next to him, trying not to make any sudden moves that might scare him. "There's no use Albert. Please, just get up and go. You don't belong here. You should've left me here to rot... it's what I deserved anyways..."
"What do you mean? Selozar, you're my friend! I care about you, why would I leave you to some evil man?" Albert asked, raising his voice a bit. Selozar turned his head over to him, his eyes looked dead. "I should've declined the offer to hang out. I got attached- YOU got attached, at least I think; besides I've done horrid things, Alone isn't the evil one... I am..." Selozar turned his head back, leaving Albert shocked.
"What do you mean?" Albert asked, lightly putting his hand on Selozar's shoulder. "I've killed people! I left people to die! Alone was just trying to raise a kingdom, and I had to mess it all up! I'm dangerous, you don't want to be friends with a literal murderer do you?!" Selozar yelled, moving Albert's hand off his shoulder and rolling away.
Albert was silent. "Selozar, please. It doesn't have to be this way! We miss you, me, Jake, Adam, and Sorrow..." Albert pleaded, but Selozar didn't comply. He sat there, and stared. Selozar kept staring the opposite direction of Albert.
Albert wasn't going to leave here without Selozar, so he wrapped his arms around Selozar, and cuddled him. "Please Selozar... we're worried about you..."
Selozar became extremely flustered, but still said no. He didn't think he deserved the kind of treatment he got from Albert. "Well, you're going. You can be redeemed, c'mon! We're getting you out of here!" Albert cheerfully stated, picking up Selozar in his arms. Selozar didn't move, but he didn't struggle to get out. He stopped caring, things became as numb as his cold rock skin. Albert lightly banged on the door, and Einin opened it. "So you calmed him down?" Einin asked. Albert looked at Selozar, then back to Einin. "I guess so."
"So he's going to come with you?" "Well, he didn't agree to it... but I didn't want to leave him here so..." Albert explained. "Then why isn't he fighting back?" Einin asked, looking down at Selozar, no care in her eyes about Selozar himself. "I don't care anymore. It doesn't matter about what I want. I want to go Albert, I really do. But... I don't deserve it. I'm only going to make you happy." Selozar explained, his voice barely higher then a whisper, but he was understandable.
"You have to kill a guardian as well, Meat Jesus specifically. You were able to hurt Alone pretty badly, and Meat Jesus is the main reason we can't get our kingdom together, so you're going to do it." Einin elucidated. Selozar robotically nodded, and got out of Albert's arms. "I'll do it. To make up to all those deaths that I caused." Selozar agreed, receiving a smile from Einin. "Perfect. Get ready, you're going tomorrow."
Albert walked over to the husk of Selozar, "Are you sure you want to do this?" Selozar nodded. It would repay his sins.
It was the only way to feel relief after all, the only way to... well... make up for it.
If he died, so be it.
SO I SPENT A WHILE ON THIS BECAUSE I'M SO HYPED TO WRITE THE FIGHT IN THE NEXT CHAPTER!
I'm gonna write it straight away!
As in straight away I mean I've probably already written it but the time this is posted.
