Prison Fight

~Bob

"Everyone okay?" I faintly heard Mark ask. I cracked my eyes open slightly with a soft moan as I adjusted to the darkness encompassing me. "Yeah." I called out to the darkness. Groggily I stood up and walked around, trying to find my way around wherever I was. Apparently I was in a small dark room by myself with metal bars and the door was locked. "I think we're in a prison." Wade commented. "No dip Sherlock!" I heard Jack shout in annoyance. "I think he means a literal prison." I told Jack with a slight grin. "What do we do?" Felix asked no one in particular. I shrugged in response, even though I knew no one could see me. "Well, it's good to see you fellows awake." The guy who had removed his mask had it back on and was staring at me with cold dark brown eyes that made me shiver. "I'm sure your fans would be willing to pay a pretty penny for the six of ya. Or..." He trailed off. "You." He stepped away from my cell and went to a different one. "You look tough. Let's test your muscle." I heard the clang of a key being stuck into a lock, then a creak of the door being swung open. "Back off!" I heard Mark warn as he was dragged out if his cell. "Or what?" The guy taunted. Mark managed to wrestle out of his grip, then punch the guy in the face. "That'll happen." Mark smirked defiantly. They guy reeled back slightly, but didn't fall. Instead he fought back, lashing out with his legs, causing Mark to fall hard onto the ground. "You could a least turn on the lights to make it fair." Mark grunted as he circled around his opponent. "True." The guy snapped his fingers and the lights flashed on, nearly blinding me with its brightness. "I'll also introduce myself properly. My name is Ash, and I'm going to beat your sorry ass up." Ash tore off his mask again and charged towards Mark. I noticed that around the room, there were other masked people cheering for their leader. Mark dodged Ash's wild attack and countered with a fist to the gut. Ash gasped for breath, but didn't double over. Instead, he took Mark's arm, lifted him over his head, then slammed him back down on the concrete. Mark wheezed in pain as he struggled to get up. Ash stopped him by pressing a black booted foot on his back. "Anyone else wanna go?" Ash asked as he looked around the room. "I do." Jack, Felix, Ken, Wade and I said in unison. Ash laughed, then went over and unlocked all of our cells. "I love a good challenge." He grinned as he swung his fist towards my face. I bent back, but it wasn't far enough. His fist grazed my nose, making me off balanced. I stumble back, then hung back and waited for my next opportunity to strike. Wade was helping Mark up while Jack, Felix and Ken all teamed up on Ash. "You okay?" I shouted over at Mark as I punched Ash in the back, sending him sprawling towards the floor until Jack kicked him in the face. Mark nodded as he waved Wade off and joined the fray. Soon, all of the people who were watching us fight were joining in. Blood was flying everywhere, staining the floor crimson as punches and kicks connected with their targets. Person after person fell to the ground, but it still didn't seem to be enough. Mark and I were back to back, defending each other while Ken teamed up with Jack as they tried to take the leader down. I had lost sight of Wade amidst the chaos, but I was certain that he was fine. "Left!" I called out to Mark as I swept my leg under the attackers feet, sending them crashing to the ground. Mark nodded then shoved the attacker on the left into the other people approaching him. The fight continued on for what felt like hours until at last, almost every black masked person was lying unconscious on the ground. The only person left was Ash. "I hate that guy." I muttered. "Same." Mark agreed as together we advanced towards him. Jack and Ken had fallen back towards us, breathing heavily with sweat pouring down their bright red faces, but otherwise alright. "Is that all you got?" Jack asked cockily, panting slightly. "Of course not." Ash snapped his fingers. From the shadows, four people with sparking electric rods neared close to us. "Here we go again." I sighed as I readied my fists for more fighting. Ash went straight towards Mark while the others branched off towards the rest of us. I winced as a rod prodded me in the arm, making it go numb. I resorted to kicking anyone that got near me, but it wasn't enough. Soon I was lying dazed on the ground from a rod to the neck as I helplessly watched my friends carry on. I could tell Mark was tiring quickly, but no one else was available to help him until Jack changed the tide. "Fight fire with fire!" I instructed as Jack managed to knock out the person he was fighting and take his rod, racing towards Mark to help. Once again everyone was down but Ash, although now Ash looked ready to collapse. I managed to push myself back up off the floor and help my friends in one final attempt to escape victorious. It seemed impossible to take down Ash until Ken borrowed the rod from Jack and slammed it into Ash's face, knocking him out before he even hit the ground. We cheered triumphantly as we gave high fives to each other. "Nice move with the taunting thing at the start Mark." Felix congratulated him. "I only started the fight. I wouldn't of been able to do it without you." Mark admitted as he rubbed his sore arm from when Ash had grabbed it and thrown him over his head and onto the ground. "This is so much better than any video game I've ever played." Jack remarked as we exited the prison. It was a little darker than it was before, but not much. "Judging by the position of the sun, it should be eleven ten." Mark commented. "How'd you know that?" Wade asked incredulously. "My phone." Mark grinned.
