As Kevin drove her home, Sunhee couldn't stop thinking about what Mark said. He'd told her to confess. He told her that Kevin liked her. 

"What did Mark say?" 

"I think he was going to confess to me," she told him honestly. "But... I stopped him before he could actually say anything. Because I realized that I like having him as my best friend. I realized that I don't like him that way, not anymore. Maybe I was mixing up familiarity with love." 

"Do you... do you like anyone else?" 

Sunhee shrugged. "Maybe. If I did though, I wouldn't be the first to confess." 

He stayed silent after that. Silent all the way up to their apartment. Silent until they got inside and the door was closed behind them. 

She stalled for a bit, trying to stay out for as long as possible, hoping that he'd confess. She thought he would. But he just stood in the kitchen, staring into the sink, lost in thought. He didn't even take off his shoes or jacket. He was in his own world. 

She wanted him to confess, but when he didn't, she finally made her way to her room. Maybe she'd do extra studying or something before bed. That way she could try and take her mind off of Kevin, and whether or not he'd confess. 

"Sunhee," he called, stopping her right before she could open her door. She turned around to face him. 

He walked towards her, not saying anything else. He came so close, his eyes full of such intensity that she took a step back, pressing herself against her room door. He stood in front of her for a moment, hesitating. 

And then he kissed her.
