Ben's family was pretty well off. Well, in terms of money, not love. But anyway, Ben knew better than anyone that money couldn't buy love. Ben sat in class, trying not to feel angry as Mr. Shapiro called on Paxton and Eleanor. Of course their performance was good. Very good. Like very very good. Ben wrinkled his brow. Wow, Paxton had come really far.

A slight suspicion rose in his brain. Did Davi ditch you to help him? It whispered. Ben stood when his and Davi's name was called. Davi shot him a look. "Wait, we never finished the project! Crap!" Ben attempted not to roll his eyes as he started talking about the presentation and all the hard work he had put into it.

Of course he had to sneak in a little pie chart showing how much work he did compared to how much Davi did. He gave her a good thirty eight percent, even though it was more like three. Once the presentation was over, Ben slumped back into his seat, fingering his pencil. "Hey Ben." Said Aneesa.

She was kinda frowning, and she looked a little sad. "Aneesa, I'm so sorry for ditching. I was really stressed about the project and-" "Don't. I'm not mad, I just feel like you've been spacing out and stuff lately. Do you like Davi? Is that it?" Aneesa said, biting her lip.

Ben sighed. He didn't really know what he felt. He had been so reluctant to forgive Davi, and finding out that the whole time she had been annoying to him and Aneesa wasn't because she wanted to bully Aneesa, but because she was jealous, that was rough.

But he couldn't focus on something that would just make him upset again. Or someone. He had to focus on someone who did care about him, and wanted to be with him. "I'm so sorry for being a bad boyfriend, but I swear it's not because I like David. Trust me, we've been enemies for too long." Aneesa and Ben laughed.

Davi turned her head. Did Ben just say he didn't like her? And why did she care? "Little D? Hello? Anyone home?" Davi snapped back around. "Sorry, could you repeat?" Paxton gave a tight smile, turning around. Looks like their relationship had headed to the rocky cliffs again.
