Since Never Good Enough is coming to a close, here are some fun facts about the story.

You probably don't care about them but I just wanted to let you guys know about these facts that I had when writing it out.

So here we go:

Fun Facts:

1. I went through two different names for Thea. I can't remember the very first name I had for her, but the second I name I actually used was Coralie with her nickname being Corrie but with Luke calling her 'Core'. The idea was that Lorelai found it funny because it rhymed with Lorelai, but I didn't like the name and found that it really didn't go with Anna Popplewell as a face-claim, so I thought of Theodora then I thought of the 2007 middle-grade book series Theodosia which I googled for some reason and the name stuck.

2. Aiden's original names were Zack and Adam. I felt like Zack didn't suit him and so I had thought of naming him Adam, which also didn't suit him, so I googled boy names and ended up with Aidan but it got auto-corrected to Aiden, so it just stuck. So, I decided to have Lorelai call him Adam as my own private in-joke. It probably would've been more hilarious if I had actually mentioned it first.

3. Georgia's name is actually a joke because her face-claim, Antonia Gentry, is actually in a show called Ginny & Georgia. I found it amusing to name Georgia after the mom, Georgia, as my own little in-joke.

4. In the original draft, I had Sage and Aiden dating Thea, then I actually decided to rewrite the story to where Thea has a crush on both of them with her eventually getting together with them, but I rewrote to where she was with them from the beginning. There was actually a part in the story where Thea/Corrie thinks that Sage and Georgia would look cute together. That was my own little in-joke because Sage's face-claim's actor is also in the show Ginny & Georgia. His character is dating the character Ginny, so it was my own little joke to have Thea/Corrie think that Sage and Georgia would look cute together. In the story, Thea/Corrie also thought that Aiden and Liberty should date too. While Corrie/Thea tells Georgia/Liberty to ask Sage/Aiden out, Georgia and Liberty would look at each other, knowing that Sage/Aiden actually had crushes on her.

5. I originally considered the idea of Sage and Aiden getting together with scene in mind of them kissing to see if they're into each other, but Sage ended up saying, "Yeah, not into that." with Aiden being a bit hurt because he had unrequited feelings for Sage (who would've eventually returned them) but the idea of them staying as friends actually suited them a lot better.

6. In the Out All Night chapter where instead of Lorelai yelling: "You're the good girl and Thea is Thea! Damn it!" Lorelai instead tells Rory: "I don't care about Thea! I care about you!" But I internally cringed at that and decided not to write that.

7. Todd was only supposed to be in the introductory chapter but he stayed.

8. Francine and Straube were supposed to be in their introductory chapter, but I'm glad that I took the suggestion of having them stay around because I can't see how the story would've gone differently.

9. In the chapter Do You Want to Build a Snow Monster? I originally had the idea of Jess asking Georgia, "How long have you had a crush on Sage?" and Georgia would've said, "A month." Jess would've said, "What made you stop?" Georgia would've said, "I noticed how he looked at Thea and realized he would never look at me like that." Then she would've shrugged. "I don't lose over it."

10. Finn was never planned to be Thea's third boyfriend.

11. Sage and Aiden were planned on following Thea to Yale. Georgia was planned on becoming a video game developer but changed her mind to movie making before changing her mind again.

12. Todd's mom, Elowen, being a former bank robber was meant to be a one-off joke.

13. I had actually considered Georgia dating Todd before realizing that Jess and Georgia made perfect sense instead.

14. I actually wrote down a scene where Stars Hollow High actually riots over the fact that they were given fat-free packets of ranch. They would eventually be given back their normal ranch packets.

15. I had a scene written down where Liberty, Georgia, Sage, Aiden, and Thea were actually Scary Movie and talking through it.

16. I actually had a list of books written down so I can have Thea and Mr. Conn from Season 1 discuss them, before I phased him out.

17. I kind of wish I had dragged out the secret relationship between them out a little more but I didn't.

18. I had originally had the idea of having Fran leaving Ethan the bakery and Dragonfly Inn as a co-owner, but decided that it would be sweeter (and more logical) if she only left them to Thea instead, because there would be no reason for Fran to trust Ethan to the bakery since he worked there for one year basically.

19. I originally had the idea of Dave actually being told that they were moving, going, "My parents told me that we were moving, but I refused to go." So Dave would've temporarily moved in with Aiden and his family, and Ethan decides to give Dave his saved up paychecks so Dave can buy an apartment, because in Ethan's mind, Dave needed it more than him since Dave would've been homeless.

Dave would've gotten a job at the bakery. Todd's mother, Elowen, would have said, "I know some people who will give you furniture for free." and call up some burglars that she knew who would furnish Dave's apartment for him. Dave would've realized that he was actually a part of the group and that they take care of their own.

Then I decided that Zach needed to go although that idea with Dave would've been funnier and sweet.

20. I had the idea of Rory deciding that Brian is cute and they would've had a fling with her losing her virginity to him to sort of catch up with Thea, but decided not to go through with it.

21. I had the idea that Dean would've stayed, he had his affair with Rory, but Rory would've been disappointed that Dean wasn't as 'big' as Aiden, and she ended up saying so to Dean's face, and he would've spiraled into jealousy so Rory would've had explained as to why she saw Aiden naked twice and that would've been the end of the Dean/Rory affair. However, I really didn't want to write the affair storyline.

22. I had an AU idea of where Thea lived with Emily and Richard where she attended Chilton, with two different boyfriends, but I really didn't want to write Liberty, Georgia, Sage, and Aiden out.

Then I had the idea where Thea was in a set of triplets with my other OC, Elsie, where she and Elsie had gotten left behind, but that also fell through.

23. I originally planned on a doctor bringing up Thea's old self-harm scars to Lorelai, who would've been horrified at the thought of bringing one of her kids to self-harm, but that didn't pan out.

24. I had the idea of Zach, Dave, and Brian being at Fran's funeral as additional support for Thea, but I figured that Dave attending would cut into his bible reading (unless he actually showed up, but read the bible during it, but I think Zach would've mocked him for it.)

25. I had the idea of Zach, Dave, and Brian helping out at the bakery to support Thea after Fran's death. Brian ends up getting covered in flour and/or accidentally burning himself, so Thea and Ethan make him feel better by revealing that they had gotten burned from cooking as well, although Ethan had gotten burned a long time ago, because he was older.

26. The first time Georgia's dad appeared in Do You Want to Build a Snow Monster? I immediately thought of Chris Evans as being the face-claim, because that was the first actor I instantly thought of as being shockingly white.

27. Yes, Thea being into archery is a fun little nod to Anna Popplewell's role as Susan in The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe. However, Thea's middle name as Susanna was completely unintentional.

28. If the story was set into recent times, Thea would be a fan of Ice Nine Kills and Dark Divine.

29. Honestly, I had the end goal of Thea still being with Sage and Aiden, Fran gifting Thea the Dragonfly Inn and bakery, Paris befriending Thea because of the shared fact of their mothers really not really giving a shit about them, and them graduating Yale. The rest of the story wasn't planned out, since I was just writing by the seat of my pants basically.

30. There is no thirtieth fact. It ending on an uneven number would've bugged the hell out of me.

So there. That's all the fun facts for the story.
