Master Battling

"Gyarados, I choose you!"

"Gardevoir, go!"

"Garchomp, let's go!"

Three beautiful Pokémon landed on the plain battlefield. An intimidating serpent of blue coloring roared at one end of the field. Two other battle cries were heard from the other end, which were just as intimidating. One was the color of the night sky, but without any stars. The other was pure white. The latter had green and pink accents, while the other was looked like a dragon in human form. All three looked like they would battle to the death.

"Draco Meteor!" Cynthia cried out, and Garchomp responded without any hesitation. A large, orange orb formed in its mouth, which exploded upwards a moment later. Like the name stated, meteors began to rain down on the battlefield.

David remained calm. He waited until the very last possible moment before crying, "Dodge it."

Gyarados seemed to disappear and reappear as it dodged the dragon type attack. Before the two champions could react, David called his next move.

"Waterfall, let's go!"

Gyarados let out a great, big roar. For a moment, nothing happened. The anticipation hung in the air, and the crowd fell silent as tension spread throughout the entire stadium.

Then the ground began to rumble. Then, out of thin air, a great gush of water burst into a great big fountain. The water raced towards the impending targets, dousing them in a powerful jet of water.

When the water finally drained into the now swamp-like ground, two Pokémon could be seen lying in the mud. They were unconscious.

"Garchomp and Gardevoir are unable to battle, making Gyarados the winner! Therefore, the victor is Pokémon Master David!"

The crowd erupted into ear splitting applause. David, however, took no notice as he calmly walked off the field and back into the tunnel. He pushed some lemon colored hair out of his small, green eyes, and he smirked to himself. That battle had taken longer than he had hoped.

Just as David reached the end of the tunnel, and was about to turn down another hallway, he saw something.

It was so fast, so quick, that he wasn't sure if he had even seen anything at all.

A flash of yellow. It was like a streak of color, one that came from behind him and disappeared around the corner. He even thought he might've missed it if he had blinked.

But nothing really moved that fast. It was impossible. It was probably just a trick of the light, David thought.

But he knew, in the back of his mind, that he had seen something. Something important. But what....

David just shook his head. He knew that he was being stupid. He needed to get back to his room. So he continued walking.
