By the time our second protagonist finished his part-time, it was 10:30 pm, when he stepped outside it was raining, luckily it wasn't heavy so he ran all the way back to his rented room that is 15 min away from his work and half hour away by bus from his university, the bus station is just in front of his building which made it easier for him to commute every day.

Once he arrived, he got inside the shower to warm up, then sat on his bed drying his hair and opened the lunchbox he just brought from convenience store which only had rice, one egg, 3 pieces of cucumber and 3 pieces of tomato, after swallowing the tasteless food, he sat down by the small table and started studying until almost one in the morning.

This is the everyday life of the top student Gulf Kanawut, although he had a hard life and must work to pay for his rent and necessary things like food, he still is the top of his class and he got scholarship to continue for his master degree's studies that he was already aiming for.

The smart boy's only wish is to get a good job with good salary to be able to help his poor family and pay for his younger sister's tuition since she's still in high school, he doesn't actually hate his life, he consider himself lucky to be able to study and work and do everything he wants to, he got encouraged and helped a lot by his parents and he wants to repay them as soon as possible.

A stable good job, a decent place where he could live, enough money to support his family and that's it, that's all it matters to him, he already worked hard since high school and have been through a lot and now only two years are left and this miserable life is over, he won't have to work multiple part-time jobs all the week, he won't have to stay up so late to study and mostly he will be able to have enough time to enjoy himself a little unlike now.

Gulf has been a bright student since he was a kid, he was encouraged and supported a lot by his teachers which helped him to get to Chulalongkorn University and get into the engineering faculty but he not only has the brain but also an athletic body, good looking and charismatic along with him being eloquent and friendly that earned him the acceptance in all the part-time job offers he applied for and it helped him a lot, he could afford buying a laptop too.

"owner, I finished cleaning the kitchen and wrote a list of the missing things that you need for tomorrow" the tall man said approaching the man who was busy dealing with the few customers that still haven't leave

"thank you so much son, it's already way past your shift and still you helped me a lot, I'm sorry for keeping you until this late" Gulf shook his head and smiled

"it's fine owner, I don't have classes tomorrow, but you should take care of yourself, you still even have some customers"

"thank you for worrying but you're right, it's getting harder for me to cook and take care of the customers and do the cleaning too so I think I should hire another person to help me in the kitchen at least" he said making a decision

"I wish I could cook but I'm unfortunately terrible at it"

"I can teach you sometimes, at least how to cook basic dishes"

"thank you so much owner, I'd love to learn from a great chef like you"

"well you should go back before it get so late and dangerous outside, be careful on your way back"

"see you next Monday owner" Gulf smiled leaving and started heading back, it was 20 to midnight but the tired young boy didn't mind since his part-time tomorrow only start at 10 am, he is lucky to not have any classes on Saturdays, on weekends he would work from morning till 3 pm and then have private time doing all he missed during the week from cleaning to laundry and studying.

Once the tall boy got back he got a phone call, it was his best friend Earth, they've known each other since high school and Earth supported Gulf a lot and he even introduced him to some summer jobs that helped him earn quite enough money to buy his phone and one for his sister.

"Gulf, did I wake you up?"

"oh no I just got back from work"

"you really should stop staying to this late and overworking yourself"

"it can't be helped and you know that"

"I know but still you need to take care of your health first before taking care of others" Gulf put his phone on loud speakers and started changing his clothes to comfortable ones

"don't worry, I'm completely fine"

"if you say so, sorry for calling this late, I just need to ask you something important"

"go ahead" Gulf said opening his laptop to finish the last few pages of some presentation

"you know I was dating this man for two years now"

"Kiet was his name right?"

"yes and his cute daughter is already turning 4 years old this month"

"wow time flies"

"I went on a date with him today and he told me that it's time for me to move in and live with them, I was so happy and I really want to live with them, I even get along well with his daughter but I said I will think about it"

"and the first thing you did was to call me"

"of course, you're my brother and I will always share every detail with you" Gulf grinned, he was glad he got a close friend like him

"thanks Earth, so what do you intend to do?"

"I don't know, I really want to go live with them but what if It won't work out? I'm worried that he may get bored of me or even hate me"

"do you truly love him?"

"absolutely, I love him a lot"

"do you trust him?"

"completely, we've been through a lot, he even rejected his ex-wife's attempt to get back to him because he said he is truly in love with me, you already know about that"

"yes, I remember that accident very well, you came to my place crying your eyes out by 3 in the morning when you saw him with his ex-wife"

"yeah, I troubled you a lot back then, sorry"

"please don't apologize, that's what friends are for, well since you love him and trust him then just accept his offer, you've been true to him all this time thus he knows everything about you, so the fact that he asked you to move in means that's what he wishes for, living with his precious daughter and his beloved man, a complete family" the sleepy man said holding his phone

"you're right, he was so determined when he asked me, he looked a little worried when I told him I will think about it"

"just do what your heart is telling you to do and if anything happens you can come to me"

"thanks Gulf, you're the best, even my family doesn't support me like you, I'm so glad that we became friends"

"and we will always be, you should introduce me to your lover and I'd love to see his cute daughter too"

"of course, I told him about you and he also said that he'd like to meet you, well as soon as I move in and settle there, I promise I will invite you over"

"can't wait for this special invitation"

"talking to you really helped me not only to cheer up but also to make my decision, I own you a lot my dearest friend like they said, friends in need are friends indeed"

"I'm glad to hear that, well you should go to sleep, you have a lot to do to move out of your place"

"you're right, good night Gulf"

"good night Earth" as soon as he hang up, the smart boy quickly finished his presentation and then jumped into his bed.

The brown eyed boy was walking to his usual spot in the backyard for lunch to eat the fried Quell eggs and the few chicken skewers that he bought from a close carts with the rice he bought from home, that was his lunch almost every day, what he could afford actually.

"Hey Gulf!" a boy approached him

"hey Panit, I didn't see you today" Gulf stopped greeting him

"I went to the hospital for a checkup about my anemia; it got a little bad lately"

"are you alright?"

"yeah, the doctor said to reduce the time I go training and to eat healthier food that is mostly rich in iron, I thought playing tennis will be better since I don't have to ran as much as in soccer or basketball but it's still no good too" the taller boy patted on his shoulder

"you'll be fine, just eat well and rest well and you will be able to have fun during tennis again" he said encouraging him making his friend cheer up, Panit is a good friend he got to know during his second year of university, they attend almost the same courses and get along pretty well.

"btw did you hear the news?" they started walking again

"oh you mean about that professor dating a minor?"

"well that too, I was shocked when I heard it in the radio today, what was that old man thinking dating a 17 years old girl?!"

"unbelievable right? I was shocked too, no excuse is acceptable to do that" while passing by some building, the dark haired boy felt someone looking in his direction but quickly ignored it and kept walking without looking back

"I totally agree, it would have been acceptable if the girl was a university student"

"yeah, well what other news you have?"

"oh yes, I was in the main building and just read that we must to take another course this year, I even talked with a professor there and she said that taking an extra one this year will help ease the work load for next year since we will be super busy with our internship"

"really?! But we already studied for 3 months now!"

"they said the extra course we will choose will do a few modification to shorten his lessons to be able to finish on time"

"this university never fail to surprise me but I guess it make sense in a way too, it's better than having so much to do next year"

"totally agree, so what will you choose?"

"umm... I don't know, it's either system programming or advanced software engineering (ASE), you?"

"I'm also was stuck between the ASE and mobile computing, I heard the professor of ASE is pretty famous and already has many students but some changed his course because he is so serious about his lessons and keep doing surprising tests while the mobile computer's professor is carefree and his lessons are kind off easy"

"and of course you will go for the easy one"

"after asking around of course I will go with the second option" they both giggled

"do you know something about the system programming's professor?"

"actually yes, it's an old women who is very strict and super punctual, if you are one second late she won't accept you in the class, also, even though her course is useful for most companies but it seem the subject is a little complicated and needs a lot of studying" Gulf thought for a while, he barely can have time to sleep so choosing this one is out of the question

"then I will go with ASE, I don't want to spend a lot of time studying one subject besides you know I have part-time"

"yeah good choice, well I will go apply for my course now, the deadline is today evening"

"I will eat lunch first then go apply later before leaving"

"alright, see you later" Panit left walking toward the main building as Gulf sat near a shadowy tree and started eating his already cold lunch.

The smart boy was actually worried about this extra course, he was interested in ASE and was going to take it next year anyway but he wishes that it won't be by evening, all his evening except for the weekends are full of his part-time jobs, he doesn't even mind that he study on Saturday morning and change his shift to afternoon.

'it can't be helped, whatever happens, I will figure it out somehow' he thought standing up and heading to his next class
