Currently, in the Yakumo Estate, there was a gentle silence as the sun slowly rose over the open fields. Everyone residing in the house remained in their slumber, minus a certain male who was quite energetic for the start of a new day.

You were still feeling a little groggy as the sleep was remained even after walking to play the music from your phone. Of course, you nodded your head to the rhythm during your morning stretches as well as attempting to shake off the sleep.

Eventually, you decided to get yourself ready for the day since there was another feast planned for the evening. As the thought crossed your mind, you began to realize that it felt unusual that the festivities never ceases.

(Y/N): You know... Kinda strange how this is the fifth time that we're having another feast...

The thought quickly vanished as you continued to dress yourself and exit the room, while you transfered the music to a simple headset in order to avoid awakening anyone in the home. Once outside, you took in a deep breath of fresh air before slowly flying away from the home.

For some unknown reason, you couldn't shake the feeling of somebody watching as you flew away.

(Y/N): ... The hell?

You gazed a distant tree line and barely noticed someone hiding a tree.

(Y/N): Okay...? Ehh, whatever.

You shrugged to yourself before continuing your journey towards the Hakurei Shrine to visit Reimu. Along the way, you noticed a group of three fairies watching fly past what assumed to have been their territory before you decided to fly much faster than usual.

(Y/N): Definitely not in the mood to be pranked by fairies again...

Eventually, you reached the Hakurei Shrine however...

(Y/N): Who's there?!

You turned around and found nobody following your trail although, you noticed a tree slightly shaking as if someone quickly retreated to hide.

(Y/N): *sigh* Great...

???: (Y/N)!

You turned back towards the shrine and looked down to find Marisa and Reimu waiting for you. So, you ignored the person following your trail and landed in front of the girls.

Marisa: You alright? You seem a little spooked, da ze!

(Y/N): I don't know, it feels like someone has been following me ever since I left the estate.

Reimu: Well, a good chance you're not wrong. Something strange has been happening recently and it has to do with these festivals happening every three days.

(Y/N): Huh... I thought I was the only one who noticed.

Marisa: Right?! Reimu was able to snap me out of during the last one but I could have sworn I saw a white mist while everyone else was enjoying themselves.

Reimu: Has Yukari said anything, (Y/N)?

(Y/N): No... In fact, she didn't seem all that interested in going to these feasts anymore after the first one...

Reimu: I see... She may have been unaffected by whatever is causing all of this.

Marisa: So then why didn't she help us sooner?

You simply shrugged at the question since you were unable to determine Yukari's motived.

(Y/N): Maybe she wanted us to figure it out on our own.

Marisa: Eh?

(Y/N): Just a thought. Reimu is the one that's supposed to be resolving incidents while all of you fight alongside her.

Marisa: ... and where do you fit into this?

(Y/N): Erm... A recurring villain? Seeing how I'm usually on the other side.

Reimu: Not this time.

Reimu finished thinking of her plan as  she approached the both of you.

Reimu: We're going to use tonight's feast to draw out the perpetrator. As long as all three of us play along then we may have a chance to catch them off gaurd.

(Y/N): Sounds easy enough.

Unbeknownst to the three of you, someone was watching as they scribbled onto a notebook while taking photos from a camera.

(Y/N): Alright so how do we bring out the culprit?

Reimu: Shhh! Not so loud!

You and Reimu were in the kitchen preparing desserts for the guests that have arrived. As expected, they were unaware that they are being affected by a strange phenomenon that brings everyone together every few days. Marisa stayed with the crowd in search of the one behind the phenomenon.

(Y/N): Sorry... Guess I'm a little too excited that we get to be on the same side this time.

Reimu: I get it but don't blow our cover. We don't even know if the culprit will even reveal themselves tonight.

You nodded in response as the both of you were applying the finishing touches to the dessert tray. Reimu also had the same idea as she also reached for the tray and accidentally touched your hand with hers.

Reimu: Oh! Sorry!

She pulled her hand away in instinct and immediately turned around to find something else to work on. Meanwhile, you were confused by the strange interaction as the shrine maiden was beet red.

(Y/N): *in thought* I get it now...

So you continued applying finishing touches as the red clad girl quickly finished her own work.

(Y/N): Alright, I'm just about done. I'll meet you outside once you're finished.

You grabbed one of the trays and walked outside to allow shrine maiden to recollect her thoughts.

Reimu: Okey dokey!

You couldn't help but chuckle as you walked away from the kitchen.

Once you were outside, you scanned the area for anything out of the ordinary however everything seemed perfectly normal. Of course, there was the guests that consisted of Youkai that were gathered outside of the shrine. Flandre quickly approached as she smelled the sweets that you have baked.

Flandre: Wow! They look amazing this time around!

(Y/N): Well, just thought I'd try out something different.

You quickly realized that Koakuma and Patchouli were missing from the Scarlet Devil Mansion group.

(Y/N): Where's Patchy and Koakuma?

Flandre: Patchy was sick again so Koakuma stayed behind to take care of her.

Sakuya approached the both of you ash she overheard the conversation.

Sakuya: Unfortunately this one seemed much worse than usual however Patchouli insisted that she was just fine.

(Y/N): *in thought* I hope it's not from this current incident.

In your peripherals, you barely noticed a white mist begin to settle itself in the area. Everyone never seemed to noticed the mist as they continued to enjoy themselves and feast on the meals in front of them. Even the two girls returned to Lady Remilia as you scanned the area for any suspicious activity.

???: Ohhh, did you make this yourself?

You were surprised by a mysterious blonde girl with horns eye the cookies that you baked.

(Y/N): Yeah, you want to try one?

???: Or course! Thank you!

The girl reached for a cookie and grabbed one before walking away to enjoy the festival.

(Y/N): *quietly* Alright, now to find the culprit.

You then placed the tray on one of the tables before approaching Marisa for any information. However, the ordinary magician had quite a few drinks as she immediately wrapped an arm around your neck and pulled you along with her.

Marisa: Hey, (Y/N)~ You've met Alice right, da ze!? *Hic*

You were surprised by her strength as she pulled you to "meet" Alice even though the both of you have already been acquainted. Even Lucius was in the group as she carefully observed one of Alice's dolls.

Alice: *nervous laugh* We've already met.

(Y/N): How much have you had to drink?

Marisa: Only a little~ I made a new friend and we had a bit of a drinking contest, ze!

You were quite curious about the new friend that she was referring to until the blonde suddenly drew her face closer to yours. This made you a little embarrassed as she looked into your eyes before she began to laugh.

Marisa: *Snicker* It's so funny seeing close to our age!

Lucius: It is quite odd... Makes me wish I can rewind my own time.

This made you think about her words as the white haired woman continued to observe the doll in her hands.

(Y/N): What makes you say that?

Lucius: I don't know... It feels as if I've done things that I knew that I would regret. I realize that it might sound a little crazy to someone that I haven't seen in a long time but, we are in a different dimension full of these beings called Youkai and possibly even gods. I want to appreciate my current life more so that I can forget about remembering my past.

(Y/N): ... What have you been going through lately?

Lucius: The strangest dreams. I'll get into more detail once we have time outside of the festival.

Lucius then placed the doll on it's feet and watched as it stood on its own legs to grab her finger as if it was shaking hands.

Alice: You seem to really enjoy yourself.

The blonde woman was amused by Lucius's curiosity as she used her magic strings to control the doll.

Lucius: I can't help myself, especially when you made them so adorable. You're the one created them, right?

Alice: Of course! It is one of my specialties after all.

As the Magician continued to amuse the white haired girl with her doll, Marisa practically fell asleep on your shoulder. Not only was she snoring but you quickly noticed that the blonde girl had began to drool on your clothing.

(Y/N): Hey, have any of you seen anything out of the ordinary?

Alice: Not at all, we've mostly kept to ourselves in this little spot.

You lightly sighed from the response since it meant that you were nowhere near to solving the case. Meanwhile, Reimu was busy trying to amuse the fairies that were asking her non stop questions as well as declining a challenge from a certain blue haired fairy.

(Y/N): Guess we're back to square one.

Crash!

???: Sorry! Guess I wasn't paying attention, ehehehe~

The voice was quite familiar since you've only just heard the person speak once. Immediately turning to the mysterious person, you recognized the same blonde girl with horns from before.

(Y/N): Wait a minute... Do we know her?

Alice: Hm? Ah yes, I believe she was the one that asked Marisa to drink with her.

(Y/N): But before that...? Now that I think about it...

Lucius: I've only seen her during these festivals, that's about it. If I recall, you might have had a few drinks with her as well. Although you can't remember since you were always drunk after having sake with her.

(Y/N): You're telling me this now?!

Lucius: You never asked.

You simply shook your head to clear your thoughts before taking action and began to approach the mysterious girl.

(Y/N): Hey! Erm...

???: Wha? Can't recognize your drinking buddy's name?

The girl was incredibly intoxicated as she stayed back and fourth to regain composure.

???: Come on, (Y/N)!  Have a drink with little ol' Suika! *Hiccup*

Suika Ibuki

(Y/N): Not exactly in the mood. Besides, I need to ask a couple things such as...

The girl grew a little nervous as she realized the situation beginning to rise.

(Y/N): The fact that everyone keeps meeting up here every few days. Know anything about that? Or perhaps that you seem to always show up during these festivities... You know, this is quite a bit of calories that I'm having to put on, I mean I know I'm a vampire but I'm also still human so there are some human qualities that I keep.

Suika: *nervous laugh* I have no idea what you're talking about~

(Y/N): Look... I might have been able to fully piece it together but these festivities aren't going to last once spring is over.

After a while, girl grew quiet before she wore another silly smile.

Suika: Then we better make every moment count~

POW!

The girl took the opportunity to strike you with a fist that sent you flying across one of the tables. The guests sitting at the table were surprised by the sudden act yet, they were still chatting with each other.

(Y/N): Reimu!!!

Reimu: I hear you! Where's Marisa?!

The red clad girl landed beside you as you were attempting to remove the food off of your clothes. Even your hair was covered in salad as you shook yourself to remove everything at once.

(Y/N): She had a little too much to drink... Damn that girl packs a punch!

Reimu: So it's just us against her...

Suika: Look! I just didn't want the festivities to end so soon because of the long winter!

(Y/N): So does that mean you're going to stop?

Suika: Hmm...

Suika stopped think for a minute however, Reimu took action and charged directly towards her opponent. While the both of were engaging in battle, you noticed Youmu slowly standing from her spot as she was accidentally knocked away from you flying back.

Youmu: *groans* what happened...?

(Y/N): You alright?

Youmu: Yeah... I just remember everything being foggy and now I'm... Here? What's going on?

(Y/N): Long story short, incident and that one right there is responsible.

You were pointing towards the cheerful drunk girl as she playfully dodged all of Reimu's attacks.

Youmu: I see... Very well.

Luckily, she drew her sword and charged towards the girl as well, with you following behind.

Suika: Uh oh~

Just as the both of you were close, Suika immediately turned into a white mist and avoided everyone's attacks that involved all three of you crashing into each other.

Suika: *laughs* Gotcha~

She laughed while you were busy picking yourself up however, Youmu was already behind the girl ready to strike. Suika noticed and turned into mist, once more, to avoid the attack but it wasn't necessary as Youmu's weapon was deflected from the mist.

Youmu: What?!

Suika returned to her solid form and sent a wave of miniature versions of herself that tackled the stunned girl.

Youmu: Help me!!!

(Y/N): The hell is this girl?!

Reimu: I'm not quite s- oof!

Reimu was also tackled by an army of mini Suikas while you quickly avoided them by flying away. Even as they flew to follow your trail, you circled around and lead them towards the source.

Suika: Waaaah!!

The horned girl was caught off guard by the sudden rush as her own clones tackled her into the ground.

(Y/N): Nice!

Clang!

Unfortunately, a clone was on standby with a frying pan and held it out as your head easily flew into the metal. The clone quickly returned to her creator and all of them began to merge into one, which resulted in the girl to grow.

(Y/N): Oww.... Oh come on, really?!

You watched as the small girl was now standing above the tree line, giggling to herself as she was turning into a literal giant.

Suika: Woooooah, everything is so small *laugh*

Reimu: Definitely not the weirdest that I've dealt with...

Youmu: What's the plan of action?

(Y/N): Go for the feet? She's barely struggling to stand as it is from how much she drank. If we get her from behind her knee then she could easily fall over.

The others agreed to your suggestion as the giant girl nearly fell on her own. So all of you quickly dispersed in order to keep the girl moving as she attempted to swat everyone with her hands.

(Y/N): *in thought* Her hand is as big as I am!!!

You were struggling to avoid the girl's attacks as she flailed around in a attempt to stroke one of you. Luckily, Youmu was firing magic bullets at the giant in order to gain the giant's attention.

(Y/N): Reimu, you go right and I'll talked left!

The shrine maiden nodded as the both of you regrouped behind the giant Suika and flew at full speed. As you were close enough, you unleashed all of your vampiric energy for a quick transformation and delivered a powerful kick to the back of the left knee while Reimu tackled the other.

Suika: Woah!

Without warning, Suika's knees bent forward and forces her to quickly fall to her knees however she also fell backwards. She quickly reverted back to normal and her body fell to the ground.

Reimu: How'd you know that would work?

(Y/N): It was a bit of a high school prank.

Youmu: Why would something like this be a prank?!

You only shrugged at the question as the three of quickly descended to check on the fallen girl. Luckily, she was unable to move from being incredibly dizzy and very intoxicated.

(Y/N): What kind of Youkai do you think she is?

Reimu: hmmm.... I'm unsure...

Suika: I'm an oni...

Suika struggled to respond as she slowly sat up in her spot and rubbed the back of her head.

Reimu: Oh dear... That makes things troublesome.

Youmu: Why is that?

Reimu: Any technique to exorcise an oni has been forgotten for a long time.

Suika sighed in relief however, she did feel guilty for causing a little too much trouble.

Suika: I'm sorry... I won't do it again... I was just really bummed out that spring was cut so short because of the long winter. I didn't want the festivities end.

(Y/N): If anything, everyone might have only put on a few calories from all of this.

Youmu and Reimu looked at you in annoyance which forced you to slowly back away from them.

Reimu: Be lucky nobody else heard you say that.

(Y/N): Sorry, I'll just Erm... I'll go over here.

As you walked away, Reimu simply looked at the small oni.

Reimu: *sigh* Anyways, just be sure that this never happens again. Otherwise I'll have to ask around for a proper way to deal with Oni.

Suika: *nervous laugh* Okay, so what happens now?

Reimu: We might as well enjoy the rest of the feast... Well what's left of it.

Scarlet Devil Mansion

While the events in the Hakurei Shrine we're occuring, there was another event taking place in Remilia's mansion. A black mist gently floated inside Patchouli's bedroom, as the Magician was fast asleep.

???: *Disembodied* There you are...

The black mist slowly approached the woman, as she slept, and began to cover her entire body until she was no longer visible. However, she immediately awakened at the last second before everything went dark and her screams were muffled underneath the mysterious fog.

???: *Disembodied* Now I understand your power....

The black mist slowly formed into a humanoid shape as it began to stand on its own set of legs. It's eyes were glowing purple as it opened the door to exit the room. Once it stepped outside, it found Koakuma's unconscious form next to the door and continued walking. Along the way, the fairy maids were dropping the floor feeling weak as the mysterious figure walked towards the front door.

Once it reached the doors, the figure looked back as the black mist slowly formed itself into a black cloak that covered the flesh that began to materialize and walk out of the mansion.

???: *Sigh* Now... Where to?

Back in Patchouli's bedroom, the magician was nowhere to be found...
