~Chapter Seven~

Jack's POV

"Urgh, stupid. Stupid idea," I said to myself.

I laid in my favorite windowsill at Santa's factory. Looking out to the snow capped mountains, I thought of my idiotic tantrum at the mall.

Jamie...

He looked absolutely in shock and anger. I wish he knew why I reacted to that cocky boy's obvious flirting with what is mine.

No, he is not mine. That makes me sad to know that. Jamie's childish enthusiasm apparent still. His smile makes me happy.

"Jack!! What a surprise!" Boomed the thick, deep Russian accent.

"Nice to see you too, Santy," I mumbled.

"Jack, why the long face? You sick?" Old St.Nick fussed.

"It's Jamie," I deadpanned.

"What is this of him? Was he hurt?" He prodded.

I thought about it. "Maybe."

"Oi, Yeti! We must go and make Jamie better!"

Several of the silly, awkward, and klutzy monsters formed a line in front of us. Well, tried to. They kept pushing each other and grunting. It was enough to make me crack a small smile. But I lost it when I thought of their reason being here.

"I did it," I whispered.

"What? Jack, why would you do such a thing? Remember your center!"

I sighed and picked at my hoodie. "I was jealous."

"Jealous? You are Guardian, why be jealous?"

My hands tightened around my staff. The anger that boiled so quickly astonished me.

"He tried to take what's mine," I sneered.

"Jamie? Jack, he woul--"

The fierce, cold winds cut him off as my fury rose. The image of Jacob holding Jamie, winking at him, had me seeing red and growling underneath my breath.

"No! It was that insolent human that dare lay his hands on Jamie!!! Jamie is mine!!!" I roared and the factory shook.

The Yeti scared, running back to the toy room or any place to get away from me. Their klutzy behavior made them trip and run into each other.

"Man in The Moon, help us..." I heard Santa sputter.

He rushed me from my spot into the Globe room where there was the Easter Bunny, shaking his head at the panicking Elves, and Sandman tinkling with laughter at the sight.

"Santa, what in the bloody heck was that?" Bunny raved.

"Jack," he said as his tattooed arms pushed me forward.

Bunny look at me then Sandy who gave a shrug. "Jack? This puny thing of havoc?"

I growled and the winds began to pick up again. "Don't test me, Bunny. As you can see, I'm in a foul mood."

He hopped up to me and got in my face. "When are you in a good mood?"

I chuckled. "When I can do this."

"Wha--" he began as a volley of snowballs surrounded him and attacked.

Sandman was on his side on the floor, laughing, sand images of joy floating around.

I huffed and made the attack halt.

"Oi! That wasn't funny, Frost!!" Bunny's Australian accent complained.

"Whatever," I shrugged off.

I turned and disappeared to my cold home.

Only to dream of Jamie's sweet face and loving heart.
