After Y/n and FrownyFox managed to escape from Home Sweet Home and activated one of the back-up generators, our heroes are now ready to head back to the Power Room to get ready to activate the next back-up generator, which is the schoolhouse. Y/n hated to go back there and meet her old schoolteacher Miss Delight once again, but he has to find that back-up generator if he and FrownyFox wants to get out of here alive.

Then the phone began to ring, and Y/n grabbed it out of pants pocket and answered the phone.

Y/n: Hello?

Prototype: (Deep Voice) I see you two made it out of Home Sweet Home alive and found one of the back-up generators?

Y/n: That's right. We both ran into a couple of problems, but we managed to get the job done.

Prototype: (Deep Voice) Excellent. Now you need to locate the next back-up generator in the old schoolhouse but be warned. Miss Delight is currently not in the mood for any visitors, but as Miss Delight starts chasing you throughout the school, just don’t panic and don’t turn away from her. Just head back to the way you came in and you two should alright. I will deal with Miss Delight once you two make it out of the schoolhouse.

Y/n: What are you going to do?

Prototype: (Deep Voice) You'll find out sooner or later but for now, you need to restore the power to the Gas Production Zone. So, what you need to do first is to head back to the Home Sweet Home you just came out of, and you will find a power cord on the porch. Grab it and plug it inside the Power Room as the power from the back-up generator at Home Sweet Home will be sent to the Gas Production Zone.

Y/n: Alright. That shouldn't be too hard to do.

Y/n then used his Grab-Pack to grab the power cord that is next to the entrance to Home Sweet Home and brought it all the way down to the Power Room and plugged it into the machine as the power from the Home Sweet Home back-up generator are being sent to the generator to the Gas Production Zone.

Y/n: Ok, I plugged in the cord to the machine in the Power Room. 

Prototype: (Deep Voice) Good. Now with the back-up power from the Home Sweet Home is being routed to the machine, we are already half-way done to finish the job at the Gas Production Zone. As you can see, every building in Playcare has a back-up generator, but most of them are dangerous to go into, so your best bet is the schoolhouse. You remember how it all happened back then before they had to shut it all down, right?

Y/n: Yes...I remembered what happened in that schoolhouse and it still haunts me to this day....

Prototype: I understand, but if you and your fox friend want to leave the factory, you have to head in there and find the back-up generator. Just follow my instructions on avoiding Miss Delight and you will be fine. Find and turn on the generator, leave as soon as possible and plug the school's power cord into the power room. I won't be able to contact you once you are inside the schoolhouse, but I will keep any eye on you through the hidden camera placed inside the building. I'm sending you the key right now. Good luck.

(CLICK!)

With that, the key was sent into the Power Room through the tube and Y/n grabbed it as he and FrownyFox are about to head into the schoolhouse. But not until FrownyFox saw something behind Y/n as he developed a F/c (Favorite Color) A/t (Animal Type) Smiling Critter tail.

FrownyFox: Y/n! You got a tail!

Y/n: Huh? (Looks behind him to see his own Smiling Critter Tail) AHH! Is that really a tail?! I have a tail?!

FrownyFox: How is that even possible? 

Y/n: I think the Red Mist must've somehow corrupted my body that is slowly turning me into one of them.

FrownyFox: Or maybe CatNap accidentally used some of his "Special" poppy gas that is mixed in with the sleeping gas. That's probably how you're slowly turning into a Smiling Critter.

Y/n: I see. Well, I think we should hurry and find that generator in the schoolhouse and see if we can ask Prototype if he has an antidote the infection before the transformation is complete.

FrownyFox: Good idea, but I highly suggest we take the gas mask with us in case you run into that Red Mist again. I don't want you to see you suffer another nightmare again, big brother.

Y/n: Don't worry, I won't let that happen again. It was my mistake for going through that Red Mist without a gas mask to breathe through. Let's get going before I start to grow ears or claws.

FrownyFox: Way ahead of you, big brother. Let's go!

So, the two of them went out of the Power Room with Y/n bringing his backpack with him along with the gas mask in case he sees the Red Mist again.

Location: The Schoolhouse - Playcare - Playtime Co.

Y/n: (Sighs) Let's get this over with.

Then as the two made it inside the schoolhouse with the key that Prototype have given to him, the two of them began walking down the hallway to find the back-up generator with Frowny Fox holding onto Y/n's shirt tightly as he is scared of whatever Miss Delight is going to do to him and Y/n as they heard the sound of the intercom turning on and they both heard the sound of Miss Delight's voice.

Miss Delight: (Intercom) This is Miss Delight speaking. Please excuse the interruption. Students, remain in your seat until the bell has rung. And no going in the halls without a hall pass!

Y/n: (Quietly) Stay calm, Y/n. Just do what you need to do and get out of here.

Then as Y/n went into a room at the end of the hallway, he noticed a Green Hand Charge Port that needed two battery packs to power up the Charge Port to continue on to find the back-up generator. So, Y/n and FrownyFox quickly and quietly went into the classrooms to find battery packs to power up the Charge Port before Miss Delight notices that she has visitors entering her schoolhouse. 

They both managed to find one of the batteries in one of the classrooms that is pretty much empty like someone has been pretty busy with clearing out everything such as textbooks, school desks, pencils, crayons, paper, etc., which is pretty confusing to why the classroom is completely empty except for the battery that stood out like a sore thumb. So, Y/n grabbed the battery with the green hand and took it back to the room with the Charge Port and insert it to one of the slots.

Now they just need to find the other battery and they should be good as they are about to continue on until they spotted Miss Delight walking down the hall and the two of them quickly ducked down behind the desks until the coast is clear and continue searching for the other battery.

But then, just as they're walking down the hall, the intercom turned on again as Miss Delight suddenly recognized Y/n a long time ago before the incident happened at the schoolhouse.

Miss Delight: Wait...I recognized you...

Y/n: (Thinking) Oh no. She knows that I'm here. I gotta hurry before she gets me.

Miss Delight: Yes, I remember. You're Y/n! You used to attend here and you're one of my best students! My my. You've grown so much, Y/n. How are you...alive?

Y/n: Alive? What do you mean by that?

Miss Delight: Hm? Barb?

Y/n: (Confused) Who's Barb?

FrownyFox: (Quietly) I don't want to know who barb is...

Miss Delight: Barb says you're the one that the Smiling Critters are looking for. You were the talk of the town of Playcare. CatNap and the Smiling Critters wouldn't like that you're here...You should leave...for your own safety.

Y/n: I would, but I have to find the back-up generator then I can leave.

Miss Delight: We'll see about that...

Then after she turned off the intercom, the two of them have to work faster to find the back-up generator before Miss Delight can find them. Then Y/n spotted an open-air vent from the ceiling as Y/n used his Grab-Pack to grab the ledge in the air vent and got inside the vent and crawled through it that lead him to the room with the battery he needed it for the other slot. So, he grabbed it and went back into the vent that got him back to the room with the Charge Port and placed it in the other slot that powered up the Charge Port.

He used the Charge Port and quickly went over to the other Port at the end of the hall and opened up the door to the next area of the schoolhouse.

Then they both spotted another VHS Tape that is labeled, "Test Protocol #69 - Portal Teleportation Testing" and they both inserted the tape in the VHS Player in the room to watch what was on the tape while keeping an eye out for Miss Delight that could be around to kill them while they're watching the tape on the TV.

Inside the tape shows a few scientists from Pryton Industries testing out the portal that was shown from the previous videotape from Y/n's dream as they used some endo-skeletal robots to test out the portal to see if it's safe enough for anyone to go through without anyone suffering any unfortunate consequences that could led the person that went through to get killed or something much worse than that.

Test #1: Failed - Result: Robot got sucked into the portal to who knows where it went after it went through the portal.

Test #2: Failed - Result: Robot got stuck in a wall after a second try of the portal.

Test #3: Failed - Result: Robot gets scrambled up into a bunch of messed up parts and scrap metal.

Test #4: Success - Result: After a successful test, they placed a camera on the robot to see if the world it landed on was safe to build a new home for the Smiling Critters and it's shown that the robot looked at its own hands to find out that he looks exactly like a cartoon character from the Smiling Critters TV Show and there doesn't seem to be any sign of threat or dangerous predators except for some docile creatures like rabbits, birds, cows, pigs and other harmless animals. The world also seems to be free from all the other forms of pollution and all of the things that is corrupting the Earth we all stand on from outside the new world, which is also another good thing for the Smiling Critters to live in and be free from the factory they're all currently living in right now.

This is the end of the testing protocol.

The tape ended with the Pryton Industries logo, which really made Y/n and FrownyFox understand why Pryton Industries would create an interdimensional portal to find a new home for the Smiling Critters to live in as they both continued finding the back-up generator and leave before Miss Delight manages to catch them in the act.

Timeskip - 10 Minutes Later

After a 10-minute trip of solving puzzles and crawling into vents, Y/n and FrownyFox is this close to the schoolhouse back-up generator, but Miss Delight is starting to get angry that Y/n is not listening to her warnings.

Miss Delight: Not a good listener, are you?

Y/n: No, I guess not.

Miss Delight: You're a lot like the other humans in that way.

Y/n: Maybe so, but I'm not leaving until I find that back-up generator. Just let me do my job and I'll be out of your hair.

Miss Delight: Oh, I'm afraid that's not gonna happen. Barb doesn't like you at all. I wonder if your screams will sound like theirs too...Mmmm...I look forward to finding out.

With her turning off the intercom, Y/n and FrownyFox is now starting to get scared of what she meant about Y/n's screams that will sound like the others.

Y/n: That doesn't sound good.

FrownyFox: Let's just cut the chit-chat and find that generator and get the hell out of here.

Y/n: Way ahead of ya.

They both went out of the room, and they already found the back-up generator that they're looking for.

Y/n: Oh? Well, that was easy.

Y/n then turned on the generator with the Grab-Pack and turned on the generator to power up the schoolhouse.

Y/n: Alright! We did it!

FrownyFox: Great! Now let's get out of here before that teacher finds us.

???: Oh, I'm afraid, you're both too late.

The two of them soon saw Miss Delight walking towards the Back-up generator and destroyed it with a blunt weapon made that resembles that of a mace that has sharp tipped pencils as spikes, which she called Barb for a reason. Y/n soon saw what happened to her face as her smile was broken, revealing the inside of her mouth that made his blood run cold and want him to run away from her as fast as she can.

Then after she slammed the back-up generator with Barb, a battery pack come out of it and Y/n immediately grabbed it before running away and never looking back until he came back to where they came in.

Miss Delight: Get back here, Y/n! No running in the halls! Class is now in session...for you to DIE!!!

Y/n: Oh, hell nah! We're outta here!

Y/n then quickly got out of the room and did not stop running and get through the obstacles as fast as he can that are slowing him down as he managed to make his way to the entrance that is blocked off and is need of some power to open it up.

Y/n: Damn it! I gotta do this fast! Just gotta remember what Prototype told me to deal with her.

Then as Y/n used the methods of avoiding Miss Delight while keeping an eye on her while the lights are still on and grabbing the battery packs that are in the slots that powered up the doors, which was a bit difficult for Y/n to grab the battery packs while keeping a close eye on Miss Delight with FrownyFox warning Y/n that she is about to attack.

Eventually, Y/n managed to get the door unlocked and started running down the long hallway that Miss Delight began chasing him down until they both made it through the door and tried to pull the switch down to close the door, but it didn't work as Miss Delight is about to kill the two of them until the door immediately slammed down and the door sliced Miss Delight in half, killing her instantly.

Y/n and FrownyFox have never been this scared in their whole lives as they finally managed to get the job done and the homicidal schoolteacher is now dead.

Y/n: (Breathing Heavily) Good riddance you ugly bitch! Class is Dismissed...Forever!

FrownyFox: I agree with you. I'm glad she's finally gone for good. I hope that the poor child and co-worker can finally rest in peace now that she's gone for good.

Then the intercom was turned on again as the Prototype managed to hack into the schoolhouse's intercom system as he has something to say to the duo after he saved them from Miss Delight by cutting her half with the door that he managed to close on her just before she had the chance to kill them both.

Prototype: (Deep Voice) (Intercom) Attention all students and facility members! As you may all know, the schoolhouse is now condemned and everything in this schoolhouse that are still in fine condition will all be collected and confiscated for future purposes. As for our teacher, Miss Delight, she is dismissed from her duties as a teacher and will no longer teach the students in this or any schoolhouse. As for our new honor students, Y/n L/n and FrownyFox, you two will have to take a little detour to the Caverns to make it back to Playcare in one piece. It's the only other way to get back to bring the power to the Power Room to route the power to the Gas Production Zone. That is all. (CLICK!)

Y/n: Well, that was interesting. He wasn't lying about him saving us from Miss Delight, but if he's right about going through the caverns to get back to Playcare, then I guess we have no other choice then. You ready to get out of this school, FrownyFox?

FrownyFox: You bet I am? I just had enough education for today, especially from the former and now dead schoolteacher.

Y/n: Alright then. Let's go.

Y/n and FrownyFox left the schoolhouse to enter the hallway to get to the Caverns but stopped for a moment to give one last look at the dead body of Miss Delight before saying a few words before leaving her dead body on the floor that is about to be taken away by a strange looking robotic arm that came from the ceiling the moment that Y/n and Frowny Fox left the schoolhouse.

Y/n: I'm sorry, Miss Delight, but I hope you don't have to deal with any more pain and suffering anymore after you finally got to embrace the sweet release of death.

Then as the two of them walked down the hallway to get to the caverns, they both spotted a Hoppy Hopscotch cardboard cutout and Y/n decided to press the button to see what she had to say.

Hoppy Hopscotch Cardboard Cutout: Hoppy Hopscotch: I'm Hoppy Hopscotch! Wanna try hopping to the moon with me, Y/n? On three, with me. 1...2...3! Again! 1...2...3! Listen, Y/n, this won't stop until we make it to the moon! 1...2... No no, don't look at your feet, Y/n! None of that matters. Again! Again! Jump! JUUUUUU-

Y/n: (Screaming in pain while covering his ears)

Hoppy Hopscotch Cardboard Cutout: (Static) Y/n.....I'm so sorry......I didn't mean to be mean to you like that... please.... don't leave us...we love you....please (crying) stay with us! (Static)

FrownyFox: Big brother! Are you okay?

Y/n: (Groaning in Pain) Yeah...I'm fine...my ears hurt from how loud that was!

Then after Y/n uncovered his ears after the pain subsided, FrownyFox gasped in shocked to see Y/n already grew F/c (Favorite Color) A/t (Animal Type) ears on his head as the transformation is already getting worse, which is why Y/n covered them in pain after listening to the cardboard cutout of Hoppy Hopscotch.

FrownyFox: Y/n! Your ears! They've changed!

Y/n: Wha?

Y/n felt them instead of his own human ears before looking at his reflection from the nearby broken glass of a container near the door to see that he has the ears of the Smiling Critter that he's turning into that he saw in his nightmare.

Y/n: Oh no! We gotta hurry before I fully become one of them. (Notices an oranged colored Grab-Pack hand in the container) Huh? What's this? 

Y/n grabs the Red Grab-Pack hand and replaced the green Grab-Pack hand with orange one that took form of a hand gun position. Then he tested it out as it shot a flare from the finger tips as the Orange hand is used as a flare gun.

Y/n: Wow. A flare gun hand. That could useful.

FrownyFox: I agree. Let's keep moving before your transformation gets even worse.

Y/n: Good point. Let's go.

The two of them then went into the entrance to the Caverns to find their way back to Playcare, but once they both go deeper into the Caverns, they'll find someone or something that the Smiling Critters have kept locked up for years since the factory got shut down during the Hour of Joy event that destroyed the entire company from the inside.

Location: The Caverns - Underneath Playtime Co.

Date: 3 Years Ago Before Y/n's Return

It's been a while since the Smiling Critters have been released by the CEO of Pryton Industries and the company's co-workers as we see a few of them exploring the depths of the Caverns underneath Playtime Co. and as well as using some of the areas of the Caverns that haven't been used since the company shut down after the Hour of Joy incident and found the perfect place to lock up the prisoners in, more importantly the entire staff of the Playtime Co. Board of Directors as well as the CEO himself as they are about to be used as a food source for the Mini Critters that have a taste for "meat", but not after they all get a little treatment from the Prototype's right hand, CatNap.

Then suddenly, one of the workers discovered something hanging on a rope on a nearby platform that is hard to reach because the bridge was taken down as the worker used a Grab-Pack to get onto the platform to get a closer look at what he saw...

It was two dead human bodies, a man and a woman as they both of their bodies decaying and missing a few body parts as the worker used a device to track their DNA to see who they are and he was surprise to find out who they are.

They were both Y/n's long lost dead parents and it appears that Y/n's mother, M/n was actually pregnant with a female child, which he then contacted the Boss aka the Prototype  on what he just discovered.

Meanwhile Inside the Prototype's Office...

As the Prototype was busy watching the cameras of the entire factory as well as Playcare before he got a call from one of our workers as he quickly puts on his specially designed gas mask to hide his true identity before answering the phone.

Prototype: (Deep Voice) State your business.

Worker: Sir, I just discovered two dead bodies in the caverns, a male and female, both adults and you would not believe who they belong to.

Prototype: (Deep Voice) Go on. Who are the child's parents?

Worker: They're Y/n's parents. You know, the boy that those Smiling Critters' were talking about?

That actually caught Prototype's attention that they're looking for Y/n and they were thinking about looking for his parent, but it looks like one of the workers managed to find Y/n's lost parents.

Prototype: (Deep Voice) Yes, of course. Bring them to the lab and we'll see if we can bring them back to life and use the special Poppy Gas to turn them into Smiling Critters like the others.

Worker: Roger that. Also, the mother also have a child inside of her and it's a girl. Is there a way to bring the child back to life as well? It appears that the mother was 8 months pregnant.

Prototype: (Deep Voice) Hmmm....We'll see about that. I'll send in some top scientist to see what they can do to bring back the child inside the mother and I'll see in a couple of workers to help you bring the two dead bodies of Y/n's parents to the lab. 

Worker: Roger that. Over and out.

With that, Prototype sends out the scientists to prepare the next experiment to bring back Y/n's parents and find a way to bring back the dead child inside of her and send in a couple of workers to help out the worker that found the dead bodies of Y/n's long-lost parents to take them to the lab for experimentation.

Then he calls for CatNap to come over to his office to give him the news of what one of the workers have discovered in the Caverns as the towering purple feline came into the Prototype's office to have a little discussion.

CatNap: You call for me, Prototype?

Prototype: (Deep Voice) Yes, CatNap. I called you here to discuss about the recent discovery in the Caverns from one of our co-workers.

CatNap: Interesting. What did the worker find in the Caverns?

Prototype: He just found Y/n's lost parents in the Caverns and they are being taken into the lab for experimentation to be reincarnated as Smiling Critters.

CatNap: He found Y/n's parents in the Caverns? How interesting? I wonder how they ended up dead in the caverns?

Prototype: (Deep Voice) I'm not entirely sure, but after the worker scanned their DNA, we should be able to track down the boy and bring him back here.

CatNap: Fantastic! We are one step closer to accomplishing our goal.

Prototype: (Deep Voice) Yes. After a few tests of the interdimensional portal and building new homes in the new world that you and your friends will live in, we shall be able to escape this place of hell once and for all. How are you doing with the children that we managed to safely capture and bring them to Playcare?

CatNap: Well, we managed to transform them into Smiling Critters along with their parents that we found in the graveyard and CraftyCorn and Bubba Bubbaphant are starting to collect as many school supplies from the schoolhouse, despite the teacher, Miss Delight patrolling the schoolhouse with her imaginary friend, Barb.

Prototype: (Deep Voice) I see. It's a shame that her sisters are dead because of her and mental state of insanity.

CatNap: I know. Do you think we should rebuild one of her sisters to replace her to teach the children at the new schoolhouse?

Prototype: (Deep Voice) We will look into that for a later project. By the way, the worker that found the dead bodies of Y/n's parents, discovered a child inside the mother as she was 8 months pregnant with a female child.

CatNap: No way. Y/n's has a sister. That's amazing, but will we ever bring her back from the dead once we transform the parents into Smiling Critters?

Prototype: (Deep Voice) We'll have to see if it might work. If the process doesn't work on the mother, we might have to do an abortion to take the child out of the mother and see if we can bring her back to life and if the child manages to survive, we will watch over it and take care of it once she is transform into a Smiling Critter.

CatNap: I see. I could ask my wife, Princess KittyPaws to take care of the child cause she is the perfect mother figure to the children at the orphanage ever since we both started this together.

Prototype: (Deep Voice) Of course, I will allow her to watch over the child and let her use her hypnotic Poppy Gas to make sure the parents don't go rogue on us. We will make sure that they'll understand the situation that we are dealing with and one day Y/n will understand as well once he returns to the factory.

CatNap: Of course, Prototype. I'm sure Y/n will understand once I explain to him what's been going on ever since we've been locked up in that jail cell by the CEO.

Prototype: (Deep Voice) Not to worry, the CEO and his board of directors are all now about to be locked up in the prison cells in the other side of the caverns where they will all be executed when the Mini Critters are all hungry for a treat of fresh meat. 

CatNap: Excellent. That will teach that ungrateful CEO for his own actions.

Prototype: (Deep Voice) Exactly. But before I sent you to give them a small dose treatment of the Special Poppy Gas, do you have any updates on the test subject that we recently captured a while ago?

CatNap: You mean, Y/n's Uncle Henry? Yes, of course. He's actually doing well, even after we transformed him into a Smiling Critter, but the strange thing is that he didn't show any signs of resistance after we captured him and transformed him. 

Prototype: (Deep Voice) Strange. Any more information about him?

CatNap: Well, he has been feeling depressed most of the time, but he has been eating his food and been sleeping well. However, we did find out from him that he recently developed cancer and for some reason, the Special Poppy Gas has suddenly cured his cancer, but he did tell me that he was afraid to tell him about his cancer.

Prototype: (Deep Voice) I see. Well, I highly suggest we watch over him until we can find his nephew. I'm sure he will cheer up once we bring Y/n into the family.

CatNap: Alright, we'll make sure the he and the rest of Y/n's family will be happy to see their son once again. As long as we can keep an eye on him in the meantime, we should be able to lure him back to the toy factory.

Prototype: (Deep Voice) Only time will tell, my friend. You good to go now to give the prisoners the treatment before the feeding frenzy starts.

CatNap: Alright. I head over there now and I appreciate having this conversation with you, my lord.

Prototype: (Deep Voice) I appreciate your loyalty to me, CatNap. I will contact you later once you are done with the prisoners.

CatNap: Alright then. I'll see you later.

With that, CatNap left the office to go deal with the prisoners while Prototype continues watching over the cameras to keep an eye on everyone in the factory as he began planning on how to bring Y/n back to Playtime Co. and when he finally returns to Playtime Co., he will put his plan into action once Y/n is back inside the factory.

Prototype: (Deep Voice) I know you're out there, Y/n. Once you step foot back into Playtime Co., the hunt will begin and I will not let you escape once you are inside the factory. I will find you and bring back home to Playcare, even if it takes forever to find you. I won't let my loyal subjects down, or my name isn't, The Prototype.
