(Ash's POV)

"Ash!" The others have just arrived.

My back's hurting now. Brock and Clemont pull me up.

"What happened?" Clemont asks.

"Nothing!" I quickly say. "I guess my head's been hurting alot!"

"From hitting your head?!" Misty says. "Makes sense. Still the same clumsy Ash we know!"

I just simply laugh. Everyone makes their way back to the benches but I quickly stop Gary.

"What is it?" He asks.

"Have you heard of Team Flare?" I ask.

"Yeah, weren't you the one who took out their leader?"

"About that, he's still alive! The guy wearing the mask who just battled! It's him."

"Tell the others then!" Gary says.

"I can't! This is between me and Lysandre!"

"Why did you tell me then?" 

I smile. "I ain't keeping secrets from my best and first friend!"

Gary smiles too and then lightly punches my arm and then says "Wanna go hang out?"

"Yeah," I respond. "Alain's match is not until tomorrow since SO many trainers are playing this league."

Me and Gary walk to the battlefield that's behind the Pokémon Center.

We sit against the trees that are on the outside of the field. 

"So what's the deal with Serena?" Gary asks.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Stop acting dense! Before when you traveled in our home region, you thought of most girls to be beautiful!"

"I don't wanna hurt her!" I say. "I'm... I'm not interested in her.

"Then who ARE you interested in?"

"No one. I just wanna be the world's greatest Pokémon Master!" I sigh.

"That makes sense. Misty and Brock tried telling the other girls that weren't even dense to begin with." 

"I can't tell Serena. Her heart would be broken like glass." I say. 

Gary then yawns. "I'm kinda tired now."

"Same!" I say as I take out my Pokémon and they fall asleep.

Gary does the same and then he falls asleep.

After some time, I fall into the sound of sleep.
