(Ash's POV)

"Is it you?" I say, "Is it really you?"

Greninja... the one I'd lost... it came back!

It yells with joy saying it's own name.

"Well, wanna evolve into the shiny Greninja?"

Hawlucha jumps to one end of the battlefield and Froakie runs to the other.

They battle it out.

It keeps going for a long time even though Hawlucha is strong and Froakie has its strong Water Shuriken and Aerial Ace.

They knock each other out after a hard fought battle.

A flashback appeared.

When we first met Hawlucha... Froakie battled it.

They fought for a long time just like this one.

It ended with both of them knocking each other out.

But then... Froakie got back up and starts glowing.

My eyes shine. At least I think they are.

My Pokemon, besides Froakie, gasped. 

It eventually stops glowing and Frogadier appears.

We keep battling it out until it evolves into Greninja.

That's when I got up and visited the gym of Lumiose City.

I enter it to see the battlefield plain of life.

I walked to the middle of it.

That's when I saw Clemont running in with Bonnie.

"Ash!" They both yell.

Bonnie and Dedenne start running towards me.

Bonnie hugs me tight and Dedenne starts crying when it talks to my Pokemon.

"What brought you back?" Clemont asked.

I tell them the whole story and they look at Greninja.

"WOW!" Bonnie yells, "IF YOU CAN GET ASH-GRENINJA BACK... YOU WILL HAVE A SHINY ONE!"

"I know!" I say. "Clemont, let's battle!"

"Alright!" He responds. "I've gotten stronger!"

Clemont runs up to the far side of the battlefield and Bonnie walks to the sidelines as referee.

My Pokemon join Bonnie except for Greninja who comes to my side of the battlefield.

"Alright, Luxray!" Clemont says as he throws a Pokeball, "Let's go!"

"Greninja," I say, "are you ready?"

Greninja nods.

"Use Electric Terrain!" Clemont commands as the battlefield glows and static appears.

"Attack with Water Shuriken!"

Greninja powers up its Water Shuriken.

"Dodge and use Thunder Fang!"

Luxray runs and dodges the Water Shuriken.

It's powering up its Thunder Fang and starts charging towards Greninja.

"Double Team!" 

Thousands of Greninja appear  and Luxray hits only one of them.

"I've payed attention to you my whole journey." Clemont says, "We can counter Double Team with Discharge!"

Electricity appears everywhere and hits every Greninja.

The real Greninja is sent flying past me and hits the wall that is in my rear direction.

"Greninja!" I say.

It quickly gets up.

It looks at me with determination in its eyes.

"You came back stronger and stronger. Here we go!!" 

Me and Greninja sync together.

Shiny, Giant Water Shuriken Greninja appears!

"WOW!" Bonnie says.

"No way!" Clemont exclaims.

"Now use Aerial Ace!" I command.

Greninja, using its speed, charges towards Luxray.

"Use Swift!" Clemont says.

Luxray moves its tail and stars come out.

Greninja hits the stars and then attacks Luxray.

Luxray is feeling the damage. I know it.

"Use Wild Charge!" Clemont yells.

"Counter with Cut!" I command.

Before our Pokemon make contact... I saw Greninja's Cut transform into a ninja sword.

I take a look at Clemont and Bonnie and they saw that too!

Greninja and Luxray make contact and an explosion appears that surrounds them.

We all wait for the smoke to disappear.

When it does, Greninja is standing beside a fallen Luxray.

"Luxray is unable to battle!" Bonnie says. "Greninja wins!"

I run up to Greninja with my other Pokemon following me.

But they all beat me to it.

"THAT WAS SUCH AN AWESOME BATTLE!" Bonnie yells with happiness in her eyes.

"Your bond almost broke my Clembot mini!" Clemont says as he pulls out his invention. "I activated it before the match!"

I could do nothing but smile.
