twelve; heaven
William and Rowan got to the restaurant shortly after. They had reservations, and with William being William the restaurant made sure they were at the top of the list. Rowan and William were seated at a table in the back in a fairly empty area of the restaurant.
Rowan and William had a great time at dinner. They ate and talked about a lot of stuff, and the food was incredible. Also, luckily no one stopped William and asked for an autograph or picture.
William was driving her home when he took a wrong turn. "Willy, you were supposed to turn left there, not right." She told him and he shook his head. "Babe, I'm taking you somewhere else, don't worry I'll get you home eventually." He said and leaned over the center console to kiss her cheek. She was lucky it was dark because her cheeks were bright red, from the kiss and that the beautiful blonde boy to her left had just called her babe.
After a few minutes they ended up in a beautiful park area. There was fairy lights lit up in the pavilion which made Rowan smile, she always loved fairy lights. "How come I've never seen this place?" She asked him. "It's just a normal park. I set up the lights, I thought they were pretty." He smiled and her grin grew. She launched at William across the console and gave him a huge hug. "No one has ever done anything like this for me before." She whispered into his shoulder and he kissed her forehead. "I'm glad I'm the first. You deserve the world, Rowan. And I plan on giving you that."
William got out of the car and raced around to her door to help her out. She smiled at him as a thank you and they walked toward the pavilion. William pulled his phone out of his pants and was scrolling for a second before a song started playing. Rowan smiled when she recognized the beginning of "Heaven" by Kane Brown, it was her new favorite song.
"A little birdie named Elise told me this was your favorite." He smiled. He put his hands on her waist and they slow danced to the song in the dimly lit park. It was the best first date she'd ever been on. "Thank you for everything today, William. This was the best first date ever." She told him and he smiled. He lifted her chin up off his shoulder and kissed her softly.
They continued dancing until the song was over and Rowan and William could both feel themselves falling for each other, and fast.
"I don't know how heaven, heaven, could be better than this."
