Rowan woke up with arms wrapped around her. She shot up in bed, confused but sighed and laid back down when she had remembered William stayed the night.

She never thought she would be okay with saying those words.

Even Carter wasn't allowed to stay the night. Clearly she had a valid reason for that now. Rowan laid down and closed her eyes, replaying yesterday's events. Everything was okay. It was just her and Carter, like normal. Until he made his confession.

Rowan loved Carter. He's her best friend. But, she didn't love him that way. When she first met Carter at York, she thought she had feelings for him but she got over it. It was just a small crush. She never suspected Carter had feelings for her. This caught her off guard.

"Whatcha thinking about?" William's tired voice asked her. She jumped, not realizing he was awake and put her hands over her heart. He put a hand on her arm. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He said. He stretched his long limbs and groaned, sitting up and running his hands through his blonde locks. Rowan blushed when she remembered the beautiful boy was shirtless, and looked away immediately. She didn't want to, but she was so red William could probably see her blush in the pitch black room.

"Thank you for staying the night and even coming. You really didn't have to. I have treated you like shit and you come over and still help me, I can't thank you enough for that." she told the blonde boy and he smiled. "Rowan, whatever you went through clearly has taken a toll on you. Whatever happened wasn't your fault, and I am not offended with how you treat me because of your past. I really like you, Rowan. I will wait for you until you're ready." He told her.

"William, I'm never going to be ready. You shouldn't wait for me. You should go find a beautiful girl who will date you this instant because you're an amazing guy." She told him. William moved towards her and put his forehead against hers, running his finger over her cheek. "I don't want anyone but you, Rowan." He told her. She breathed out slowly and shakily. God damn, with a boy this beautiful so close to her lips he was making it extremely difficult to not just kiss him right then and there. She waited for him to move, but his smooth fingers continued to hold her face like it was the most valuable thing he would ever touch. "Fuck it." She breathed out. And in that moment, Rowan did something she didn't think she would ever do.

She leaned in and kissed him, hard.
