"chapter 44- numb"

trying to take her therapists advice brooke decided to reach out to asher. so he picked her up from the madden estate and they headed to the classic hangout.

"you know if spencer hadn't transferred to beverly, taking my position and all my stats, i'd have definitely made that top three hundred list." asher ranted to his girlfriend.

"so what did your dad say ?" brooke questioned.

"i haven't seen him yet. things are good between us now. but whenever football comes up, i always feel like he's disappointed in me." asher sighed.

"i don't think he means for it to come off that way, and if it means anything i'm proud of you." brooke said smiling cheekily at her boyfriend.

asher walked over to her placing his broad wide receiver hands on her waist. he planted a kiss on the girls lips and brooke melted in his arms just like the first time their lips touched. as they pulled apart he smiled down at her.

"you know i'm never gonna get tired of doing that." brooke laughed.

"finally something we can agree on." asher joked back.

"you know i was really pissed at you at ash." brooke said softly punching his chest.

"i know. i just wanted to help." asher responsed.

"you know for months i've just been trying to do everything to feel something, anything and i'm just numb." brooke began as tear formed in her eyes.

"maybe it's because you never really dealt with your mom leaving. & you not dealing with that just snowballed into you not dealing with a lot of things." asher suggested.

"i just need you to know, that i'm gonna need help to get through this & your right. i don't deal with things. i didn't deal with my feelings for you or jordan. or you sleeping with olivia and the drugs. my dad and my mom. i just have these blockers on cancel out all the noise and chaos that surrounds me. and it's like one day i woke up and it was too loud to ignore anymore." brooke revealed.

"that's the first time i've ever admitted that. i'm just scared of my own thoughts." brooke cried and asher engulfed her.

"i'm here. it's okay. & i'm never going anywhere." asher swore.
