"chapter 26- jealous much"

"you seriously keep watching that over & over again?" spencer questioned.

"uh, hell yeah." jj exclaimed.

"yeah." jordan agreed.

"this is epic, are you kidding who does that." jj squealed shoving the phone in front of spencer's face.

"i was there, bro. i'll give it to you it's a beautiful catch." spencer laughed.

"yeah don't act like i haven't caught you watching it at home too." jordan pointed out playfully shoving spencer.

"no, you talking about another spencer james." spencer joked.

"yeah sure, just make sure the other spencer james shows up for next weeks playoff game, all right?" jordan suggested.

"you were looking good at the combine jordan, real good." a brunette said with a wink as she strolled by the boys.

"brooke better watch out." jj laughed.

"brooke doesn't have anything to worry about, all right." jordan assured.

"you're really okay with asher moving into her place?" jj questioned.

"i didn't have a choice, okay. as long as he sticks to his room & out of our way, we'll be good. besides, i trust brooke." jordan reiterated to the boys.

"you're a better man than me." spencer said praising jordan.

"jordan, just make sure you watch your back with him, all right?" spencer said looking over at brooke & asher in the hallway.

"you know it's bad when even jj's still pissed at me." asher sighed.

"you were friends before you were teammates. he'll come around." brooke assured.

"i betrayed my team. almost cost them the homecoming game. i got a lot to make up for." asher exclaimed.

"& you will." brooke said comforting asher.

"hey." brooke said greeting jordan as asher walked away.

"did you guys ride here together?" jordan asked.

"yeah, i had to drop my car off at the dealership, so asher gave me a ride." brooke explained & she watched as jordan's face changed.

"is that a problem?" brooke questioned.

"no, it's all good." jordan confirmed.

"come on, we're gonna be late for class." jordan said shutting his locker and grabbing brookes hand as they walked to first period together.

they entered first period & brooke could tell something was off with jordan still.

"hey you're unusually quiet, are you sure everything's okay?" brooke asked again.

"yeah, i just need to focus for the test okay." jordan settled.

"shouldn't olivia be here by now?" brooke said redirecting her attention somewhere else.

olivia sat in her car outside the school after seeing her sponsor. she couldn't wrap her head around how she'd been clean for almost a year, and finding one bottle of pills almost sent her back down the rabbit hole. she reminisced about almost a year ago, when she was in a dark place.

"so, mom & dad are on a staycation weekend or whatever, which means party time for us at the house." olivia stated as she walked down the hallway with jordan.

"no olivia, that's not a good idea." jordan assured.

"you always say that, and then you always have a good time." olivia laughed as she spotted jj in the hallway.

"jj! party chez baker tonight. spread the word!" olivia yelled.

"hey, consider it spread." jj exclaimed.

"jj no, don't you dare." jordan said sternly.

"hey, sorry bro the queen has spoken." jj yelled.

the siblings approached brooke & asher who were making out, to a point where it looked like they were swallowing eachother in front of brookes locker.

"get a room!" olivia laughed slamming the locker shut, which caused the couple to retract from each others faces.

"how do you guys kiss like that & still find time to breathe." sammy joked approaching the group.

"you guys jealous much, bye baby." asher said to brooke as the girls dragged brooke away.

"let's go find us some trouble." olivia said causing the girls to burst into a fit a laughter as they danced down the hallway.

olivia blinked & just like that she was in her car again. the flashback brought her back to a time when she thought she had everything, but deep inside she was empty.
