chapter 2- "falling"

the school day had slowly come to a close an asher & brooke headed back to the madden residence.

brooke opened the door to be greeted by emma on the couch drinking svedka and watching the same victoria's secret fashion show rerun that she'd been gazing at for the past two weeks. across in the kitchen was amanda on her computer ordering clothes online using steve's credit card. a sad but
normal day at home for brooke madden.

brooke and asher headed upstairs to her room & locked the door. as soon as it shut brooke and asher attacked each other. they somehow found their way over to the bed without pulling there lips apart. slowly clothes started to slip off and the rest was history.

if you told brooke and asher a year ago they'd be having sex with each other on a daily basis they'd probably laugh in your face.

there friends with benefits relationship started slowly, only doing stuff here and there. but things changed and it became more & more frequent. brooke depended on asher more than anyone but she'd never say it aloud. when her mom left asher was there. when her dad came busting through the door with a new fiancee he was there. always by brooke's side ready to catch her fall, wipe her tears, or fuck her brains out. the best friend a girl could ever ask for.

brooke sat up & hooked her bra. she looked over at asher and smiled.

"what're you grinning about ?" asher teased.

"nothing i'm just happy when i'm with you." she smiled.

"so layla's having a party to kick off the season friday. do you maybe want to go together ?" asher asked.

"would that be weird if we went together?" brooke asked.

"why would it be weird? we've been friends forever." asher assured.

"you're right, yeah let's go together." brooke said as she felt her heart ache.

"friends forever"

every time asher hit her with that line it sent a cold chill down her spine. she had broken the biggest rule of friends with benefits handbook.

[rule #1- don't catch feelings.]

but brooke was falling for asher more and more by the second, with no one to catch her.
