"chapter 11- money or not"

brooke sat at the edge of the pool while asher was swimming back & forth trying to get a good snapchat video with his go pro. he swam over to her and looked at the video he had just made.

"how many of those are you gonna take." brooke laughed.

"you just know it when you see it." asher said cockily wiping the pool water from his face as he held his camera up getting brooke in the video.

"okay, come on let's go we have to get ready." brooke said stepping out of the pool.

"hey what do you say-." asher started.

"mhm-" brooke said entering the water.

"we ditch this party tonight, we stay in, just you & me here alone all weekend." asher said kissing brooke.

"mm. well, my dad comes back from milan tomorrow. also amanda & emma come home from there spa trip the next day. so it's gonna be a full house. & besides you wouldn't want to really skip spencer's party after he helped you with the car would you." brooke said swimming out of the pool.

"how long are we gonna bring that up." asher asked.

"it literally just happened." brooke said confused.

"i'm not gonna lie. it's gonna be kind of weird hanging around spencer right now. him knowing the truth and all." asher admitted.

"i know the truth and all is it weird hanging around me." brooke added.

"yeah, a little." asher said drying off.

"how long are you gonna keep doing this ." brooke asked.

"how long am i gonna lie." asher said finishing her thought.

"i didn't say that." brooke said in defense.

"i don't know brooke, i didn't mark a come clean day in my calendar." asher laughed.

"i just don't want to participate in lying to all of our friends." brooke sighed.

"don't worry i'm not gonna make you lie for me." asher said drying his hair.

"hey, no it's more than that. i need you to figure out who you're gonna be." brooke said stepping towards asher.

"me, brooke madden. i love you for you, money or not. but hey, if this is gonna work i need you to feel the same way about yourself. think you can do that." brooke said rubbing her thumb across his cheek and kissing his lips.
