[Pt. 1] -08- 🎶 Final Bow

[A/N - This chapter has a lot of images, so I'm sorry if they don't load properly. I'll try to describe the pictures the best that I can]

"We used to have it all, but now's our curtain call. So hold for the applause, oh. And wave out to the crowd, and take our final bow. Oh, it's our time to go, but at least we stole the show."
~Parson James, 'Stole the Show'

*Jimin's POV*

"JHoooooope~"

Shoving the video camera in his face, I got as close as I could while Hoseok was getting his makeup done. He laughed and put a hand up, pretending to push me away.

"Jimin-ah~, you're disrupting my beauty process," Hoseok joked. I laughed and panned out the camera, getting a shot of his whole ensemble.

Since this was our farewell concert, Mr. Bang had given us permission to chose our own outfits for the first part of the show. We each chose our favorite outfits from past shows we had done.

I wasn't surprised with the outfit Hoseok chose. He looked really good in red, and boy did he sure know it. He had on a red blazer that went over a striped back and white shirt, paired with black slacks.

Satisfied with the shot I had gotten, I looked around for my next victim and grinned when I saw Jungkook falling asleep in his chair.

Kookie had this adorable habit of falling asleep while getting his hair and makeup done. It made him an easy target for teasing.

Placing a hand under his chin, I gently pulled at the skin there and cooed, "Jungkook~, time to wake up."

Yawning, Jungkook groggily opened his eyes and saw the video camera in my hands.

"Yah, hyung, it's not nice to tease people, you know," he said sleepily. I moved my hand from his chin to his cheek, stroking the soft skin.

"Awww, you know I tease you because I love you, Jungkook. Do you love me?" Fans loved when we showed them how much we loved each other.

Jungkook flashed me his bunny smile, "I love you, hyung."

I took this chance to take in Jungkook's outfit. He wore a loose fitting satin blue shirt, and a tie that was made to look disheveled. His dark hair was slightly parted, and shiny. It took a lot for me to not tussle his soft hair.

"Do me a favor and go bother V, huh?" Jungkook requested, shooing me away. I pouted, but continued on my journey anyway.

Tae was busy discussing how he wanted his hair to look with his hair stylist. I knew I probably shouldn't bother him, but this was our last show and I wanted to capture as many memories as possible.

"V, tell me about your ensemble tonight!" I exclaimed excitedly, acting like a reporter. Taehyung gave me a lopsided smile and stood from his chair, modeling his outfit for the camera.

He was wearing a dark silky shirt, adored with flowers. Out of the seven of us, Tae had the most extra sense of style. He loved showing off his designer clothes and accessories. His blue hair was styled casually, but not messily. To put it plainly, he really did look stunning. I could see why Jungkook was infatuated with him.

I stayed with him for a few more minutes before his stylists shooed me away, saying they needed to finish his makeup. I spun around the room and saw Namjoon and Jin in deep conversation, having finished getting ready before the rest of us did.

Jin looked angelic. His blouse was this incredible shade of light pink that almost looked white, and he had on a pair of light matching slacks. Along with his purple hair, Jin really did look like an angel. I felt myself getting sad knowing he was leaving in two short weeks.

Namjoon looked like the devilish counterpart to Jin's angel. He wore a low hanging red shirt underneath his black blazer, silver chains hanging from the fabric. His silver hair was pushed out of his face, showing every inch of his beauty.

Man, I am really gay.

I couldn't help but admire how beautiful my friends were. I loved them, but not in a romantic way. They were my brothers, first and foremost.

But still. That doesn't mean I wouldn't be DTF with each and every one of them.

"Hyungs!" I interrupted their conversation. They both turned their heads towards me. "Do you have anything you want to say to ARMY before the show?"

Smiling, Jin looked into the camera. "Thank you for your support these last few months. I'm going to miss this group, and I'm going to miss each of our fans. You guys mean the world to us, and we wouldn't be where we are now without you." With watery eyes, Jin gave the camera his signature 'flying kiss', making me smile.

"How about you, RM?" I said, using his stage name.

Namjoon cleared his throat, seeming to be choked up after Jin's speech. "I feel incredibly honored to have been a part of such a special group, and I earnestly hope that BTS will live on after our hiatus. The love we have for each other, for our music, and for our fans is too great to diminish over these next few years." Damn, these boys really out here trying to make me cry right before the show.

"Thank you, hyung! Good luck tonight!" Tilting my head back, I blinked my eyes a few times, trying to chase away the tears that had gathered.

Once I felt composed, I turned to the last member.

"Wow, Suga!" His head snapped up towards me when he heard my exclamation. "You look really cool tonight!"

Yoongi snickered, "When do I not?" I laughed at his cocky response.

With his black blazer over his dark striped shirt, Yoongi really did look amazing. Of course, I'm biased because I always think he looks amazing. Knowing this was the last time for a while I would see him before a concert, I felt my chest tighten.

Yoongi noticed I had gone silent, with the camera still pointing awkwardly at him.

"Uh.. what about you Jimin?" He mumbled. I snapped out of my daze, refocusing my attention.

"What about me?" I asked.

"I saw you walking around videoing everyone. Did you have anything you want to say to the camera?"

"Um, sure, Hyung. Thank you." I handed my video camera over to Yoongi, and he pointed it in my direction.

"Hello, ARMY," I said with a smile and a wave. "While I'm very sad this is the last concert for a while, I know this won't be the last time BTS is on stage. We will return for you, ARMY, because we love all of you." After I had finished my little speech, I shut of the camera and set it on the counter.

"Do you believe that?" Yoongi asked.

"Hm?" I hummed in question.

"What you said. About this not being the last time BTS will perform together." I thought about that for a second. While I did mainly say it for ARMY's sake, a part of me really did want to believe it.

"Sure I do, hyung. Even if we're not the same BTS that we are now, I do think we'll all be on stage together again," I assured him, giving him a warm smile.

Yoongi nodded as he rocked back and forth on his heels. After a moment of silence, Yoongi spoke up. "You look nice tonight, Jimin." He scratched his ear and I smiled, knowing he did that when he was feeling embarrassed.

"Thank you, Yoongi." I had chosen to wear a black suit, covered with multicolored sparkles. My pink hair was parted neatly to the side, giving me a sophisticated look. I knew none of us were going to match in the slightest, but who cares.

The plan was to perform in the clothes of our choice for the first half of the show, then change into our matching outfits for the rest of the show. A compromise was the only way we were able to convince Mr. Bang to let us wear our favorite outfits for our last show.

At that moment, Sejin walked into the room. "Are you guys almost ready? We're going to get started soon." I looked around as everyone stood up, indicating they were ready to go. Sejin nodded his head in satisfaction. "Alright, follow me."

"Wait," Jin interrupted. "I want to say something first." Clearing his throat, Jin took a deep breath. "I wanted to let you guys know how much I've loved being a part of this group. You guys are amazing, and I couldn't ask for better group mates." He flashed a dazzling smile at us, eyes watering. "I love you guys."

"You're talking as if the group is splitting up," Jungkook interjected, seeming confused. "We're gonna come back after the hiatus, aren't we?"

The rest of us exchanged weary glances, unsure of our to answer. The response we had given the public is that we had fully expected BTS to survive the hiatus. But is that how we really felt? Well... it depends on who you asked.

Jin smiled at Jungkook and reassured him, "We'll be okay. I just mean I'm going to miss you all while I'm gone."

"You'll be coming home with us tonight, you still have two weeks left," Yoongi grumbled.

"True... but I will want to spend a lot of that time with my family before I have to leave," Jin pointed out.

Unable to keep listening to this depressing conversation right before the performance, I wrapped Jin into a tight hug, squishing my cheek against his. "I love you too, hyung~"

Jin laughed and returned my hug, giving my small frame a tight squeeze.

"I wanna hug, too!" Jungkook whined, jumping in with us.

"Yah, move over! Don't leave me out," pouted Hoseok, stretching his arms out to envelope our little cluster. One by one, the other guys joined in, forming a tight group hug.

When we decided we wanted to be able to breathe, we separated and smiled at each other.

Sejin cleared his throat. "It's time, guys. Let's get a move on."

Jungkook's hand gripped mine, and I gave his hand a reassuring squeeze.

We're going to be okay.

***

The show ended up lasting nearly four hours. We had planned on a shorter show, but ARMY didn't seem like they were ready for it to end and honestly, neither were we.

We stood at the front of the stage, taking our turns to say a brief thank you to ARMY, telling them how much we were going to miss them. I was doing an okay job at keeping my tears back, but once I saw Taehyung crying, I lost it. Seeing my friends cry always made me cry.

Yoongi wrapped up his speech and nodded to me, signaling that it was my turn. I raised my microphone to my lips, trying to keep my voice from shaking.

"I had a whole big speech planned," I admitted to the crowd, "but honestly I don't think I'll be able to make it through without crying." Our fans began to make various cooing and 'aww' cries. "I will say this though. Your support has inspired me in more ways than you know. When I'm in my darkest place, I always remember the love you have given to me, and I manage to pull myself back up and remind myself that there is light in the world. And for that, I thank ARMY. I love you." Raising my hand, I crossed my thumb and my forefinger, giving the crowd the 'love' gesture. Our fans were cheering like crazy for us, and I smiled through the tears dripping down my cheeks.

We stood at the front of the stage, ready to take our final bow. I looked around at my friends and saw that everyone had tears on their faces, even Yoongi.

Namjoon lifted his microphone to his lips, choking out, "Thank you, ARMY! Goodnight!" Giving a low bow to the crowd, the lights went out, and the deafening cheers of the crowd filled the arena.

Oof, I really hit myself in the feels writing about BTS's last performance. I didn't want to have to imagine what that would be like 😭

I wanted to have this chapter up last night, but rehearsals went late and I felt too brain dead to attempt to finish this chapter
