Date: April 15, 1997

Shayne's POV

Me and Michael have been going through counseling sessions once a week for a month and a half now I can't necessarily say that things are getting better but they aren't getting worse

I think I might be at the point where I wanna forgive him but Im still kinda angry inside On the other hand, I miss my husband and I just want to be a family again

I was in our bedroom, laying down Prince has really been keeping us up during the night so Michael agreed to watch him so I could get some sleep I was watching the movie Carmen Jones when the phone rang I reached over to the nightstand and picked it up

Shayne: Hello?

Miranda: Hi honey

Shayne:(Smiles) Hey mommy

Miranda: How you doing?

Shayne: Im good, exhausted

Miranda: Prince keeping you up?

Shayne: Yeah, I don't know what's up with him lately He usually sleeps pretty good

Miranda: Oh, he'll be fine What about you and Michael?

Shayne: We're still going through counseling...

Miranda: And?

Shayne: I think its helping We can say what we're feeling without arguing so thats an improvement

Miranda: Do you know if you still wanna be with him?

Shayne: I don't know Some days, I miss him like crazy and other days, I just wanna say forget it

Miranda: Shayne, can I tell you something?

Shayne:(Nods) Yeah

Miranda: Your father cheated on me before

(My mouth dropped open and I sat up straight.)

Shayne: What?

Miranda: Yeah It happened right after I had Sage

Shayne: Well mommy how'd you forgive him?

Miranda:(Sighs) It was hard for me, just like it is for you but I just realized that I loved him too much to let him go over anything, even cheating

Shayne:(Nods) Yeah I understand what your saying

(Just then, I heard Prince start to scream.)

Shayne: Mom, I gotta go

Miranda:(Laughs) I know, I heard that scream Kiss my grandson for me

Shayne: I will Love you

Miranda: Love you too honey

(I hung up the phone and got up. I walked through the passageway to Prince's room. Michael was standing at the changing table trying to change him. I walked up behind him.)

Shayne: What's up with him?

Michael: I don't know I was going to change him and as soon as I took the diaper off, he just started screaming

Shayne: Well, I know why

Michael: Why?

Shayne: Prince hates being cold When you take the diaper off, the cold air hits him and makes him uncomfortable

Michael: Ohhh ok That makes sense

Shayne: When you change him, you have to have the other diaper already ready

Michael:(Nods) Ok

(He grabbed a diaper and put it on him. He zipped up his onesie and picked him up.)

Michael: Aren't you supposed to be getting some sleep?

Shayne: I was trying but my mom called....to check on us

Michael:(Raises eyebrow) Check on us?

Shayne: Yeah To see if we're making any progress

Michael: And what'd you tell her?

(He turned around and laid Prince in his crib)

Shayne: I said that we're doing a lot better

Michael:(Scoffs) Are you gonna keep doing this?

Shayne: Doing what?

(He grabbed my arm and pulled me out if the room into the hallway. He closed the door behind him and leaned against it.)

Shayne: What are you talking about Michael?

Michael: You're acting like you don't miss me, miss us

(I sighed heavily.)

Shayne: Of course I miss you It feels like Im missing a part of me

Michael: Then, why don't you come show me how much you miss me?

(I hesitated but I walked over to him. He grabbed my hands and held them in his.)

Michael: I love you Shay

Shayne: I-I love you too

(He leaned down and kissed me softly. After about 20 seconds, he pulled away and looked me in my eyes.)

Michael: You have no idea how much Ive missed doing that

Shayne:(Smirks) I think I can imagine

(He laughed and kissed me again but this time, more passionately. I threw my arms around his neck and pulled him closer. He moved down and sucked at my neck. I gasped and pushed him away.)

Michael: Oh my....Im sorry Shay

(I took a deep breath and walked down the hallway to our bedroom door. I turned around and looked at him.)

Shayne: Why are you still standing there?

Come on

(He looked unsure but he walked over to me. I grabbed his hand and opened the door. I pulled him into the room and closed the door behind us.)
