Date: September 5, 1996

Shayne's POV

I was sleeping peacefully until I heard someone burst into my room

Sage: Get up.! Get up.! It's your wedding day.!!

(I opened my eyes and stretched. I looked to the left side of the bed and saw that Michael wasn't there anymore. I sighed and sat up.)

Miranda: Here We bought you some food Can't get married on a empty stomach

(I laughed and she set a tray on my lap. There was pancakes, sausages, and orange juice.)

Scarlett: Are you nervous.?

Shayne:(Shakes head) No I'm more anxious cause I just wanna get it over with

Miranda: Well, after you eat, you have to start getting ready, ok.?

(I nodded my head and continued eating.)

Shayne: Hey, where's Michael.?

Sage: Downstairs, trying to make sure everything is "absolutely and completely perfect"

Shayne:(Laughs) That's how he says it.?

Sage: Yeah Makes me wanna stuff a sock in his mouth

Miranda: Hush Sage He's just in love You might be lucky enough to find a guy like Michael

Sage: Mom, there is such a thing as smothering someone

Shayne: Michael doesn't smother me.! He just tries to watch out for my well being

Sage: All I'm saying is that I would get a little annoyed by it That's all

Scarlett: Sage, you'll be lucky enough if you find someone who can deal with your morning breath

(We laughed and I finished eating. I got up, went into the bathroom and took a shower. An hour later, I got out, dried off, and put on lotion. I put on my bra and panties then put my robe on. I walked out of the bathroom and saw Karen, Christy, and Sheryl sitting on the bed.)

Shayne: You guys.!!!

(I ran to them and hugged them all tightly.)

Shayne: Sheryl, I thought you wouldn't be able to make it.!

Sheryl: How could I miss the biggest moment of my best friends life.?

Shayne: What about you Christy.? I thought you had to work

Christy: I decided to make some use out of all that vacation time I have saved up

(We laughed.)

Karen:(Checks time) Oh, we better get going Its already 12 and the wedding starts at 3

(I sat down in a chair and Karen started on my makeup. The whole time she was doing it, I was shaking and biting my lip.)

Scarlett: Shay, calm down.! Everything's gonna be fine

Shayne: I know that.! I just can't believe that I'm about to get married

Karen: Well, whatever you do, don't start crying You'll mess up your makeup

(I laughed and managed to keep it together while she finished my makeup. While she was doing my hair, there was a knock on the door.)

Shayne: Who is it.?

Katherine: Katherine

Janet: And Janet.!

(I laughed and motioned for Sheryl to let them in. Katherine walked over to me and grabbed both of my hands in hers.)

Katherine: Oh, you look beautiful sweetie

Shayne: Thank you Wait until I actually put the dress on

(She giggled and smiled widely.)

Katherine: I just wanted to come and let you know that I'm so happy that Michael has found someone like you Someone who loves him for him He's very lucky

Shayne:(Smiles) I really do love him and I'm the lucky one You raised an amazing man

Janet: This is the happiest that I've seen my brother in a long time

Shayne: Yeah This is the happiest I've been too

Christy: Shay, you should start getting dressed so we can take the pictures

Shayne:(Nods) Alright

(Karen finished my hair and I went into the closet. Sheryl and Christy helped me put on the dress and they zipped it up for me. Karen put my veil on, along with some flowers in my hair. I walked back into the bedroom and everyone gasped.)

Miranda:(Tears up) You look beautiful honey

Katherine: Yes, you do

Scarlett: Michael is gonna flip when he sees you

Janet: Yeah My brother is definitely lucky to have you

Shayne: Awww, thanks you guys (Sighs) Alright Let's go take these pictures

(Sage and Scarlett held my train and we all walked out of the house into the pasture. My dad, David, and Chris were standing out there waiting for us.)

Shawn: Sweetie, you look beautiful

(He kissed my cheek.)

Shayne:(Smiles) Thank you daddy

Photographer: Alright you guys Let's get started

(For the next hour, we all took pictures together. When we were done, everyone else stayed outside and started to mingle with the guests that were arriving. I went back in the house because I didn't wanna be seen.

I hadn't seen Michael all day and I was missing the hell out of him. I knew he wouldn't let me see him, because of the whole "bad luck to see the bride" crap. I grabbed the phone in the living room and decided to call his cell phone. He answered on the first ring.)

Michael: Hi Shay

Shayne: How'd you know it was me.?

Michael: I figured you would call me I know I was about to call you

Shayne: Yeah I miss you

Michael: I miss you too....I can't wait to see you I bet you look absolutely gorgeous

Shayne: I've been told that I do

(We laughed and I sighed.)

Shayne: Hey, where are you.?

Michael: Somewhere you wouldn't think that I would be

Shayne: Your in the studio, aren't you.?

Michael: Dang, I guess you do know me better than I thought

Shayne:(Laughs) Yeah

(I looked at the time and saw that it was 2:45.)

Shayne: We better go We have to go get married in 15 minutes

Michael:(Laughs) Yeah, your right but Shay.?

Shayne: Yeah.?

Michael: You know I love you, right.?

Shayne: I know that..I love you too

Michael: Good See you soon

Shayne: Bye

(I hung up the phone and sighed. Well, here goes nothing.)

Michael's POV

I hung up the phone and turned back to Julie We were both sitting in the studio talking

Julie: Let me guess: That was Shayne.?

Michael: Yeah (Sighs) I can't believe I'm finally getting married I honestly thought it wasn't gonna happen for me

Julie: Well, I always knew it would

Michael: Really.? How.?

Julie: Michael, you are a great guy You're sweet, funny, caring, a great musician, and just a nice person Any girl would be lucky enough to have you

Michael:(Smiles) Thank you Jules...... For everything For being there for me when me and Shay broke up, the allegations, just......everything

Julie: No problem I love you, Mikey

Michael: I love you too Julie

(We both stood up and hugged. After we pulled away, I looked at the time and saw that it was 2:52.)

Michael: Come on We gotta get going

(We got up and walked out of the studio. We walked through the living room, out of the sliding door, and out to the pasture. All of the guests were seated and talking amongst themselves. I went and stood at the altar next to the preacher. All of a sudden, the wedding march started.

I looked towards the house and Shayne was walking to the altar, with her dad. She looked absolutely.........stunning. Her dress hugged each and every one of her curves perfectly. She had the brightest smile on her face, which made me giggle. She finally made it down the aisle and I stood next to her dad.)

Preacher: Who gives this woman to this man.?

Shawn: Her mother and I do

(The preacher nodded and Shawn kissed Shayne's forehead. He turned to me, shook my hand, and sat down next to Miranda. I took Shayne's hand and we stepped up. Shayne handed Scarlett her bouquet.)

Preacher: You may all be seated

(Everyone sat down)

Preacher: We Are joined here together to witness the joining together of this man and this woman in holy matrimony If anyone has just cause why these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace

(It was silent)

Preacher: Alright Shayne and Michael have written their own vows So, Michael.?

(I nodded and took a deep breath. I tightened my grip on her hands and looked into her eyes.)

Michael: Shayne, before I met you, I always thought that I was......unlovable I thought I was going to be alone for the rest of my life and I was fine with that But then,....then I met you and you turned my life upside down, in a good sense

(Everyone laughed)

Michael: I know that Ive done some things that I shouldn't have but you've been here, through everything You helped me get through the hardest time in my life and for that, I'm forever grateful

(I stopped to take another deep breath. Shayne had tears building up in her eyes.)

Michael: I love everything about you The way you bite your fingernails when your nervous, how you bite your lip when your irritated, how you rub my back when I give you a hug, and the sparks I feel whenever I kiss you I love you so much and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you

(Everyone said aww and I saw that Shayne was crying. I wiped her tears away with my hand.)

Preacher: Shayne.?

Shayne:(Sighs) How am I supposed to beat that.?

Michael: You can't

(Everyone laughed and Shayne hit me in the shoulder.)

Shayne: Michael, when we met, I was only 22 years old and I had never had a first love But then, I met you in a coffee shop and I experienced it for the first time You have been so kind, and sweet, and caring through these past 8 years I know I can be a handful sometimes but I love you so much

(She took a deep breath and wiped away her tears.)

Preacher: Alright May we have the rings please.?

(I turned around and got my ring from David. Shayne got hers from Scarlett and we turned back to each other.)

Preacher: Ok Do you, Shayne Morgan Matthews, take Michael Joseph Jackson ,to be your lawfully wedded husband.? Do you promise to keep him in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, forsaking all others until death do you part.?

Shayne:(Nods) I do

(She slid the gold band on my finger and smiled brightly.)

Preacher: Do you, Michael Joseph Jackson, take Shayne Morgan Matthews, to be your lawfully wedded wife.? Do you promise to keep her through sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, forsaking all others until death do you part.?

Michael:(Smiles) Of course I do

(I slid the diamond ring onto her finger.)

Preacher: By the power vested in me by the state of California, I now pronounce you Mr and Mrs Michael Joseph Jackson You may kiss the bride

(I grabbed Shayne's waist, pulled her close, and kissed her passionately. She laughed and kissed me back. Everyone cheered and threw flowers as we ran down the aisle. I can't believe that we're finally married.!!!!!!!)
