School has just now ended and Sans was right behind you, the f/c jacket being tied around his waist. You've already 'tried' to get it back, but to no avail. He kept going on about how the jacket was too big for you and it made your muscles unnoticeable. Making you easy prey.
He really did want to help, huh?
"S-sans! It's c-c-cold a-and I'm freezing!"
"What are you talking about? I feel warm."
"Bec-c-cause you have a jacket and a t-turtle neck on!" Sans rolled his eyes, picked you up and threw you over his shoulder. You were highly confused and flustered by this. Your face was brushing up against the fluff outline his hood, causing you to be constantly twitching your noise.
He then threw something over your body, a f/c fabric now covered your vision and the familiar smell of (favorite candy) filled your nostrils. The fluff of his hood still tickling your nose tho.
After a while more of walking, he stopped and pulled your jacket away. Exposing your once warm arms to the cold air. He placed you down, in front of where you first met. Outside his home. He told you to wait and went inside, leaving you exposed to not only the cold, but to potential threats...
Luckily, during his absence nothing happened. He returned with a smaller jacket similar to his but on the back, there was a strange skull on it. Similar to perhaps a dog, goat, maybe a dragon? You couldn't put your finger on it but it was along those lines.
"Use this instead.... You should probably clean it first." You didn't question it but you weren't planning to use it anyway.
"C-can I have my jacket?"
"Oh no turtle. I'm keeping it from now on." You weren't the type who would cause a fit or be stubborn, but that was still your favorite jacket. Someone special gave it to you.
"Sans... Please?"
"Hmm..." He placed one hand on his chin and pretended to be deep in thought. Before he could give an answer, a loud, scratchy voice interrupted his thinking process. (Video above is how they both sound)
"Sans! Close the damn door already!"
"Give me a minute!" Sans yelled back just as annoyed as the other voice. "You can have it back another day, bye." And with that the door was closed. What will your mom think..
Sans pov
"Sans! Who were you talking to?!"
"None of your business!" I walked up the stairs to my room and locked the door behind me, ignoring my brothers yells. I threw my jacket across the room and sat on my bed.
Holding the girls jacket up to my nose, I sniffed it. Sounds weird, I know but you'd be surprised how often people actually sniff other people's clothes.
The jacket smelled of (favorite candy), ink, and another smell I couldn't identify. Strange.. After a while of me trying to identify the smell, loud knocking came from outside my room.
"Sans come out of there! I have a question I've been meaning to ask." I grumpily got off my bed, leaving the jacket behind and opening the door. "Two couples came here to complain about you picking a fight with their children." Papyrus took a quick glance at the bandage covering my forehead, assuming I got it from the 'fight'.
"Nooo Papyrus. They were throwing rocks at me and a kid so I took it upon myself to discipline them." I said with a proud look in my eyes. His eyebrow twitched slightly at my response and then a mischievous grin took place of his frown.
"So that girl you were talking to was involved I presumed.." He leaned on the door frame, crossing his arms and looking up dreamily. I felt.... Weird. I didn't like the way this conversation was going so I was going to let him know.
"How do you even know I was talking to a girl?!" I felt myself began to heat up with angry and embarrassment. But why do I feel embarrassed?
"I didn't, but I know now." He had the most amused look ever, makes me want to hurt him badly.. But I wont. I was pouting like a child now and my face was on fire, only causing Papyrus to snicker and then leave. Finally..
Your pov
You took your mom out to a really nice place to eat. After giving a fake explanation to your bandaged cheek of course. She can't be knowing of what happened. You also lied that your f/c jacket was ripped when you 'tripped' on your way to school, a 'friend' happened to be there and offered you their jacket.
After paying the bill and heading back home, you dropped onto your bed gracefully (that means you ruined your neat bed).
Your bed sheets were a lovely shade of royal blue, blankets of different shades of blue and purple being hung over your head. Serving as a protective shelter over your bed. Along the ceiling were Christmas lights and some small lanterns here and there. The wall and carpet a color of light purple.
In the far corner of your room stood a guitar. Markings created by a knife were obvious on the wooden surface. You picked it up and sat down on your bed, the guitar resting on your lap. A song came to mind and you started.
"I told you I was hurt
Bleeding on the inside
I told you I was lost
In the middle of my life
There's times
I stayed alive for you
There's times
I would've died for you
There's times
It didn't matter at all
Will you help me find
The right way up
Or let me take the wrong way down
Will your straighten
Me out
Or make me take the long way around
I took the low road in
I'll take the high road out
I'll do whatever it takes
To be the mistake you can't live without
Standing in the dark
I can see your shadow
You're the only light
That's breaking through the window
There's times
I stayed alive for you
There's times
I would've died for you
There's times
It didn't matter at all
Will you help me find
The right way up
Or let me take the wrong way down
Will you straighten
Me out
Or make me take the long way around
I' took the low road in
I'll take the high road out
I'll do whatever it takes
To be the mistake you can't live without
Well I'm not gonna
Give it away
Not gonna let it go
Just to wake up someday
Gone!
The worst part is looking back
And knowing that I was wrong
Help me find the right way up
Or let me take the
Wrong way down
Will you straighten me out
Or make me take
The long way around
I took the low road in
I'll take the high road out
2x I'll do whatever it takes
To be the mistake you
Can't live without"
By the end of the song, you felt more at ease. To finally get all that off your shoulders. The song didn't mean anything to you, it was just your way of releasing stress. Singing. You're a fairly decent musician and loved singing. You began to think of another song to sing but something had broken your train of thought.
You heard a soft knocking on your window. Not loud enough to be a jerk from school and Sans doesn't know where you live. Unless... You placed the guitar to the side and walked to the window. Your room was on the first floor so anyone on the ground level can easily look in or out.
You pulled the curtain to the side to see a obnoxious, sharp, toothy grin. You slightly opened up the window so that you could talk to him.
"W-what are you doing here?! A-a-and how d-did you find me?!" You whisper yelled.
"I don't remember how I got here, might I mention you are a good singer," he said, pushing you aside and climbing through the window, accidentally getting his foot caught on the curtain and ripping it while trying to untangle his foot.
"You w-were listening?!" You weren't embarrassed by him listening but you were still blushing ever so slightly.
"Yyyep!" He threw himself on top of your bed and gave a hand motion, signaling you to come over. You of course weren't going to and closed the window, to keep the cold air out. "I see you like the jacket I gave you." Yes you were still wearing it, but only because it's cold in your room.
"D-do not. I'm just cold.."
"Then why don't you come here?~" The window and the bed were extremely close so he was able to grab your arm before you could get your distance from him. He didn't pull you into the bed but he didn't show any motives to let go either. "That song you sang.. It touched me believe it or not. Think ya can sing for me?..." Big puppy eyes adored his features.
You really wanted to say no but you didn't have the heart to say it. You were always a sucker for cute things. A curse you must live with.. You slowly nodded your head and sat on the bed, grabbing the guitar and the perfect song came to mind. (Skipping the lyrics to near the end)
Sans seemed to have knew the song you were singing and had joined in, him singing the male and You the female. Your voices were extremely different but they some how smashed together into something beautiful...
"Though the truth may bury this
The ship will carry our
Bodies safe to shore
Though the truth may..
'Sans was sitting next to you, gently placing his hand on your uninjured cheek. His eyes being filled with care.'
Bury this, the ship..
'Slowly but surely, he was pulling you closer to his face. But you both kept singing.'
Will carry our bodies...
'Speaking of bodies, his was now slightly leaning onto yours. His eyes half open.'
Safe to shore.."
Before he could do anything more, soft knocking on your door interrupted the moment.
"Sweetie, mind if I come in? It's not that I'm upset but I'd like to meet the owner of the other voice. Is he the reason why you decided to open up a bit during lunch?" Your mom cooed. After realizing the position you were in, you quickly ran to the door as an excuse to get away from Sans.
"I don't t-think you'll like what y-y-you see..." Sans looked highly offended by what you said but you took no notice of it.
"Ohhh come on! This is the first time I ever saw you take an interest in a boy! I have to know!"
"M-mom!" Your face was probably as red as a tomato now but you tried to play it cool. You slowly opened the door to see your moms enthusiastic face. But what she saw shook her. Nothing. As if Sans just disappeared into thin air.
You and your mom had a awkward conversations, assuming that Sans must've climbed out the window while you weren't paying attention.
After finally getting her to leave, you turned off the main light, leaving some of the Christmas lights on, and crawled under the covers. It wasn't long until you heard the window began to creak open.
"Psst!" Maybe if you ignore it he'll go away. "Pssssssssttttttt! PPPPPPPSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTT!" It was now quite, but he didn't leave yet. Before you could comprehend what he was going to do, the wind was knocked straight out of you. He literally threw himself on top of you.
You tried anything humanly possible to pry away without making any noise, to no avail. He left the window open too... You eventually gave up and curled up under him, keeping in your warmth and his to keep from freezing.
He gave notice and nudge his head in the crook of your neck, giving a small laugh and was probably smirking like an idiot now. You felt your face heat up because of his warm breath hitting your neck.
"S-sans..."
"Hm?"
"W-w-why a-are you doing this?.." This was your first time for anything. First time someone other than family sang with you. First time anyone was ever THIS close to you, much less after just meeting that day. So many first times, too many to name them all.
"Because your nothing like I've ever seen before." And with that his grip on you tighten. Sans started to stroke your hair and hummed a melody you were unfamiliar with. He continued doing so until you eventually, for the first time since forever, fall into a dreamless sleep.
(I own nothing except the story. The two songs are The High Road by three days grace and Little Talks by monsters and men
