Epilogue
"Daddy, I don't like this suit. Why can't I wear a dress like Mummy?"
Draco stared down aghast at his five year old son.
"Because, Teddy, you're my best man and best men wear suits like the groom."
He was blaming Lupin for this one.
"But I wanted to be a bridesmaid like aunt Luna," Teddy wailed, pulling at his bow tie with disgust.
Draco tried to stifle the shudder that had crept up his spine. Why on earth Neve had encouraged him to call that Loony woman 'aunt' was beyond his comprehension.
But just thinking her name filled Draco with a warm glow; Neve. His frog princess, who was about to become his wife.
He couldn't wait; he'd wanted to marry her as soon as he had asked her, but then Gran had passed away peacefully in her sleep just two weeks after they announced their engagement.
He had been so glad he was able to be there for her, holding her up at the funeral as she cried not only for her gran's passing but for the friends she had lost in the battle, too.
She never shut him out; being open with her grief, and he let her cry in his arms for as long as she needed.
Even though it was through no fault of his own, he hated that he hadn't been there for her immediately after the war. When she told him that she didn't remember Colin's funeral because she had to be sedated, he wanted to march right up to Azkaban himself and strangle Pansy with his own hands.
That bitch had taken the time that Neve had needed him the most away from him. And that was what made him maddest about his year long imprisonment.
But together they went to the graves, and he made sure he was there to comfort her as she properly said goodbye.
He was so glad to have her there for him, too. Especially when he woke up in the middle of most nights, his bellowing screams echoing all around, believing he was back in the Room. She held him uncomplainingly as he sobbed in her arms, waiting for the feeling of terror to pass.
Only Neve knew about that, and his mother. They had to put a silencing charm on the door so as not to disturb Teddy.
Their sex life had changed dramatically, too. Long gone was the desire to have angry, violent sex; instead, they made sweet, trembling, yearning love - their bodies mutually singing out for joy at being as one, like two perfect jigsaw puzzle pieces fitting together.
Neve was his everything. She made him believe in life and laughter, that every single day was worth getting out of bed and living.
And he simply couldn't wait to finally call himself her husband.

I swallowed, looking down at my dress.
"I'm worried it's not conventional," I trembled, already having second thoughts. "Most brides wear white."
"But who wants to be most brides?" Luna said serenely, her large eyes sparkling as she gazed admiringly at my green dress. "I think you look dazzling. And so will Draco."
"Well, he did choose it, I suppose," I murmured, remembering how Slughorn had made me change out of it to wear that ghastly waitress uniform. "He always believed in me, and that's why this dress means so much."
The door opened, and I looked up to see Narcissa enter, a wide smile beaming on her face as her eyes sparkled at me.
"Oh Neve, you look beautiful, darling," she gushed, her voice giving a slight tremble, as she pulled me in for a hug. When she broke away, I didn't miss the quick dabbing of her eyes.
"How are they?" I asked, already missing Draco and Teddy so much. They had spent the previous evening in Malfoy Manor and it was the first night Draco and I had been apart since his kidnap.
I had been anxious for him, and even though he hadn't voiced it out loud, I had seen the apprehension in his eyes, too.
"Teddy is Teddy, and Draco is looking forward to seeing his wife to be," she said, her face flickering slightly as her smile didn't quite reach her eyes.
"Did he have a bad night?" I whispered, my voice trembling in heartache. It was so unfair the trauma Draco was suffering because of what that bitch had put him through.
I could tell she was torn by whether or not to be honest with me, but my heart sank as I already saw from her expression that it hadn't been good.
"Little boys always find it hard to be without their mummies," Luna said, readjusting her Butterbeer cork necklace in the mirror. "He'll soon grow out of it."
Narcissa and I exchanged a look, but neither of us corrected her. Draco was a proud man, and we knew he'd hate to discover that we'd been discussing his post traumatic stress with others.
Narcissa led the way to the limo which was waiting for us outside my home; still the house I grew up with Gran in. I couldn't bear to part from it after her passing, and Draco was more than happy for us to stay on there.
"I just want to be wherever you and the boys are," he assured me, when I queried if he'd much rather live somewhere bigger.
So myself, Draco, Teddy and Trevor stayed on living there.
I carried out Trevor on the large purple pillow I had gotten him especially for today. He looked as miserable as sin in his little top hat and bow tie, but he needed to look the part for his important role as ring bearer.
Butterflies were in my stomach as the limo pulled into the driveway of Malfoy Manor.
Narcissa had arranged everything; we were to have the ceremony in the grounds by the lily ponds. Not only was it picturesque, but it was the perfect place for a toad to chill out in all day long.
"Oh Cissy, it's just beautiful!" I breathed, as she escorted us towards the waiting crowd.
The lily ponds were in full bloom; white flowers scattered everywhere with the water glistening hypnotically in the afternoon sun.
Everyones back's were to us, and I could see the white-blond hair of the Slytherin Prince at the front, my stomach knotting in sudden yearning to be by his side.
"Daddy look she's here! Mummy's here!" I heard the excited cry of my little boy.
Teddy, with white-blond hair flapping about, was jumping up and down excitedly next to Draco, who refused to turn around yet. I knew he was waiting for his cue.
Everyone else started craning their necks and 'awwing' at the sight of Luna, Narcissa, Trevor and myself taking our positions at the bottom of the aisle.
Everyone hushed as the band started up the first notes of music. Luna went up first, carrying Trevor on his pillow, making everyone gush with a smattering of more 'awwwws'.
Draco, however, kept his head firmly forwards, knowing his cue was not yet.
And then, once Luna had reached her destination and the music changed, I hooked my arm in Narcissa's and we stepped onto the aisle.
"Are you ready?" she whispered in my ear.
"More than I'll ever be," I beamed up at her, so grateful I had her to give me away to her son.
At the familiar notes of the music, Draco turned around, his silver grey eyes widening in pleasure as they met mine. His lips tugged into a helpless smile, causing my heart to feel as though it was simply going to burst with joy.
And, as the frog song played around us, I finally walked towards him.
To Draco, my prince.
The End

A/N: Thank you so much for reading once again guys! I love you all so much, your support means everything to me. I hope everyone was happy with my ending. I know there'll be many disappointed with the lack of Scorp, but I didn't want to take away the importance and significance of Teddy.
Thank you again, I've loved writing fem-Neville so much. I'm vastly running out of significant male characters to do next though!
