A FEELING OF DEJA VU CAME OVER REESE as her and The Doctor, once again, walked into the Angelo house. They made a beeline to Jeff's room, the Williams girl leading the way seeing as she was pretty familiar with where the younger Angelo's bedroom was.

Bursting through the door, The Doctor peeked his head in, spotting Jeff sitting on his bed. The very laptop they two were looking for was sitting on the other man's lap. Reese walked in behind The Doctor, the same annoyed expression she always seemed to wear around her ex-boyfriend appearing on her face.

"Hello." The Doctor greeted, walking swiftly over to the bed, trying to grab the computer from Jeff. "Laptop, gimme."

A panicked expression appeared on the Angelo man's face as he held tightly onto his computer in an effort to stop The Doctor from grabbing it. "No, no, no, wait."

Reese crossed arms and looked at her ex in confusion at his reluctance. "Don't be annoying, Jeff." She told him.

"It's fine." The Doctor reassured the other man. "Give it here."

He finally managed to wrestle the computer from Jeff's tight grip, coming to sit at the foot of the bed, Reese joining him on one side as she peered over her shoulder at her former lover's nervous expression.

She turned back around after quirking an eyebrow at Jeff's weird behaviour, and she let out a loud noise of disgust as she saw what was on the laptop screen. She briefly covered her eyes so she didn't have to look at the images anymore, before a quick, awkward laugh left her mouth.

With her eyes now uncovered and the images gone, Reese shook her head. "Well, not much has changed with you then, has it?" She quipped.

Jeff flushed red from embarrassment, and The Doctor looked at the blonde in confusion. The Raggedy Man then gave Jeff a wide eyed look.

"Blimey!" He exclaimed. "Get a girlfriend, Jeff."

The Angelo man huffed from the other end of the bed. "I had one until about a month ago." He informed, looking at Reese, who rolled her eyes in response. She then stood from where she was sitting at the foot of the bed, moving over to stand beside The Doctor, who was sitting at Jeff's desk.

Finally realizing why the other two were always so awkward and tense around each other, The Doctor expression formed into one of understanding. "Oh, okay!" He mused, pointing between Reese and Jeff. "I get it now! You two are exes! That makes sense, I was wondering why he looked all mopey and you looked so annoyed." He finished, smiling at Reese.

The Williams girl nodded sarcastically. "Wow, congratulations." She told him sarcastically, before moving her attention back to the laptop, pointing at it with her hand. "Can we focus, please?"

The Doctor nodded, looking back at the laptop and began typing. Mrs Angelo then walked in Jeff's room, looking at The Doctor and Reese in surprise.

"What are you doing?" She asked them.

"The sun's gone wibbly, so right now, somewhere out there, there's going to be a big old video conference call." The Doctor explained as he typed furiously. "All the experts in the world panicking at once, and do you know what they need? Me."

Suddenly the laptop screen showed an incredibly important looking video conference call. Reese raised her eyebrows in surprise as she read all the names of the people on the screen.

"Ah, and here they all are!" The Doctor smirked successfully. "All the big boys, NASA, Jodrell Bank, Tokyo Space Centre, Patrick Moore."

Mrs Angelo perked up at the last name. "I like Patrick Moore." She told them all.

"I'll get you his number, but watch him. He's a devil."

Reese let out a breathy laugh at The Doctor's warning as she continued to peer in curiosity at the screen and what The Doctor was doing.

"You can't just hack in on a call like that!" Jeff tried, but The Doctor didn't seem worried at all.

"Can't I?" The Doctor rebutted.

When all the official's started to notice the unfamiliar face, The Doctor then held up a wallet-looking thing, a blank piece of paper on the inside, showing it to the webcam.

"Who are you?" Sir Patrick Moore asked in surprise.

"This is a secure call, what are you doing here?" Another man echoed Moore's question.

"Hello! Yeah, I know you should switch me off," The Doctor told them all. "But before you do, watch this." He then began to type again, sending something to each of the different people in the video call.

"It's here too, I'm getting it." Moore spoke as The Doctor's message started to reach him.

"Fermat's Theorem, the proof. And I mean the real one, never been seen before. Poor old Fermat, got killed in a duel before he could write it down. My fault, I slept in. Oh, and here's an oldie but a goodie. Why electrons have mass, and a personal favourite of mine, faster than light travel with two diagrams and a joke!" As these words came out of the Raggedy Man's mouth, Reese merely looked at him as though he were speaking complete gibberish, as did the other two in the room that had no idea what was going on. "Look at your screens, whoever I am, I'm a genius. Look at the sun. You need all the help you can get. Fellas, pay attention."

Letting out a laugh of disbelief, Reese turned to The Doctor once she'd stared at the computer screen for a while. "Nice." She breathed out.

The Doctor sent her a cocky smile.

"Sir, what are you doing?" The NASA executive demanded.

"I'm writing a computer virus. Very clever, super fast, and a tiny bit alive, but don't let on." The Doctor explained. "And why am I writing it on a phone? Never mind, you'll find out." He continued typing on Rory's phone. "Okay, I'm sending this to all your computers, get everyone who works for you sending this everywhere. Email, text, Facebook, Bebo, Twitter, radar dish, whatever you've got. Any questions?"

No one said anything, until Patrick Moore piped up from his little square on the computer screen. "Who was your lady friend?"

Looking from the screen over to Reese, who looked slightly weirded out by the amateur astronomer's question, The Doctor frowned slightly.

"Bit young for you, isn't she, Patrick?" He wondered, nodding in the blonde's direction.

Looking annoyed, Moore shook his head. "Not her! The other one!"

A bashful giggle came from Jeff's gran, and The Doctor gave the older man a stern look. "Patrick, behave!" He scolded.

"What's this virus gonna do?" Reese asked The Doctor, bringing attention back to the situation at hand.

"It's a reset command, that's all." The Doctor told her. "It resets counters, it gets in the wifi and resets every counter it can find. Clocks, calendars, anything with a chip will default at zero at exactly the same time." He then faced the webcam again, addressing all the experts. "But yeah, I could be lying, why should you trust me? I'll let my best man explain."

Reese waited expectantly, but was met by silence. She turned to see The Doctor looking towards Jeff, but the Angelo man was also sitting, waiting expectantly for The Doctor's "best man". Not realising that it was, in fact, him.

Realising that her ex wasn't about to realise this by himself, Reese reached across and nudged his shoulder. "Jeff!" She whisper-yelled.

He looked over at her, and Reese looked at him pointedly. The Doctor then took it upon himself to inform the other man.

"You're my best man." The Doctor revealed.

Jeff looked at him as though he were insane. "You what?"

Closing the laptop over so that all the world officials couldn't hear the next part of their conversation, The Doctor leaned in close to Jeff. "Listen to me, in ten minutes, you're going to be a legend." He spoke quietly. "In ten minutes, everyone on that screen is going to be offering you any job you want. But first, you have to be magnificent. You have to make them trust you and get them working." He encouraged the Angelo man. "This is it, Jeff, right here, right now. This is when you fly. Today's the day you save the world."

Reese raised her eyebrows, that was a hell of a lot of pressure for one man to bear. Even if it was Jeff, she felt kind of bad for him as the guy in question looked at The Doctor incredulously.

"Why me?" Jeff wondered.

The Doctor paused, before telling Jeff "It's your bedroom. Now go, go, go."

The Doctor then stood from his chair, motioning for Reese to join him as he ran out the room. She darted after him, only briefly stopping at the door as The Doctor poked his head back around Jeff's bedroom door.

"Oh, and delete your internet history." The Doctor advised him, pointing at him briefly before turning around and running back out of the door.

The two of them made their way back onto the village green, The Doctor spun around in circles a few times, looking as though he was searching for something.

"What is it?" Reese asked him. "What are you looking for?"

"Transport." He told her. "We need to get to the hospital where Amy and your brother are." He continued looking around hurriedly.

Reese nodded and also began looking around, stopping when she came across the fire engine from earlier, which seemed to have been abandoned by the firefighters who had been chasing after it. She then turned around to face the Raggedy Man, grasping his shoulder lightly.

"What about that?" She called out to him, pointing towards the firetruck.

The Doctor turned around and followed where she was pointing to, a large grin appearing on his face when he saw what she was talking about.

"Yes! Perfect!" He responded excitedly, grabbing her hand and dragging her along with him to the truck. "I like your line of thinking, Reese!"

The siren blared as The Doctor drove himself and Reese down the road that led to Leadworth Hospital. He looked like a kid in a sweet shop, the large grin on his face was contagious as he excitedly sped down the road.

The two hadn't really spoken since they'd commandeered the large vehicle. Not unless you counted Reese answering Amy's phone call and passing on messages to The Doctor as they both yelled over the loud siren.

Reese cleared her throat. "Are you really Amy's imaginary friend?" She yelled to him, her throat hurting because of the volume she had to use.

The question may have seemed stupid to anyone who heard it, but it had been on Reese's mind ever since the events of the day started to unfold. She had been wanting to ask The Doctor about a million questions since she'd realised who he actually was, but given the whole end of the world scenario she'd found herself in, she decided to leave it.

But now that it was just the two of them, and they had nothing to really do, or help, until they reached Leadworth General, Reese decided to just bite the bullet and ask him what she'd been thinking all day.

The Doctor seemed slightly surprised by her question, raising his eyebrows in response. "Well, I'm not imaginary, but. . ." He trailed off for a moment. "Yes, I suppose I am."

Reese nodded silently, swallowing thickly. "Cool." Was all she responded with, but her voice was too quiet to be heard over the siren.

The Doctor looked back at the road briefly, before flickering his gaze back over to Reese, who was fiddling nervously with her rings.

"Why?" He coaxed. "Don't you believe me?"

Shaking her head, the blonde girl responded. "No, no, I do!" She assured, meeting his eyes once again. "It's just. . .back when we were little I thought it was all just a really cool game that Ames had thought of. And now. . ." She trailed off.

The Raggedy Man stared at her, awaiting her answer. "Now, what?"

"Well, now I feel bad for not believing her in the first place!" The Williams girl admitted. "This whole time I thought you were a story, and that she'd just made up everything with Prisoner Zero, 'cos there was no way that aliens were real." The blonde continued to ramble as The Doctor watched her, and the road. "But all of it was real! Aliens are real, and so are you, apparently!"

Reese sounded slightly out of breath by the end of her tangent. She looked away from where she had been staring out the window, and was surprised by the smile on The Doctor's face. The cheeky look on his face made her send him a suspicious glance.

"Why are you smiling like that?" She quizzed him.

"Because, I never tire of watching people come to that kind of realization." He shared with her, turning his eyes back to the road. "I'll make a true believer of you, yet, Reese Williams."

She couldn't help the smile that creeped on her face. She didn't really know what he meant by that, but she would be lying if she said she wasn't slightly excited to find out.

The duo soon reached the hospital, with Reese sending Amy a quick text with Rory's phone, just saying 'DUCK!'. The two of them then made their way up to stand on top of the vehicle. The Doctor climbed up the large ladder, Reese following suit. When they'd reached the top, where the end had ended up smashing through one of the windows to the coma ward, The Doctor swiftly climbed through, turning round to give Reese a hand down.

Once through the window, Reese came to stand beside Amy and Rory, greeting them both with a short smile, before turning to see a woman standing near the entrance to the room, holding two little girls by their hands. The blonde quickly concluded that it was actually Prisoner Zero, judging by the looks on her brother and best friend's faces.

"Right! Hello, are we late?" The Doctor greeted the room, looking up towards the clock above the door. "No, three minutes to go. So, still time."

"Time for what, Time Lord?" Prisoner Zero asked maliciously.

Time Lord? Reese tried racking her brain for any mention of that name that Amy may have told her. But, coming up short, she merely shot her redheaded friend a look of confusion. Amelia shrugged at her in response, clearly just as clueless.

"Take the disguise off, they'll find you in a heartbeat." The Doctor tried again. "Nobody dies."

The alien tilted it's head at him. "The Atraxi will kill me this time." She told him. "If I am to die, let there be fire."

Reese frowned when the woman's face contorted into an wicked smirk. It was obvious that Prisoner Zero wasn't about to leave without a fight.

"Okay, you came to this world by opening a crack in space and time. Do it again, just leave."

"I did not open the crack." Prisoner Zero informed him.

The Doctor faltered for a second. "Somebody did." He insisted.

"The cracks in the skin of the universe, don't you know where they came from?" Prisoner Zero wondered tauntingly. It then scanned the three people standing behind The Doctor, it's eyes eventually resting on Reese, making the Williams girl shift uncomfortably. "You don't, do you?"

The voices then switched, and instead of the oldest woman speaking in her normal voice, it had switched to one of a little girl.

"The Doctor in the TARDIS doesn't know." It taunted, looking back over to the man in front of them. "Doesn't know, doesn't know!"

The voice then switched back to the one of the mother. "The universe is cracked, the Pandorica will open." She added. "Silence will fall."

The Doctor never said anything for a hot minute, leading the three behind him to watch him expectantly. Prisoner Zero's words lingered in Reese's mind, silence will fall, what was that supposed to mean?

She was broken out of her thoughts by The Doctor's voice. "And we're off!" He declared, pointing at the clock above the door which now read '0:00'. "Look at that, look at that!"

When Prisoner Zero barely responded to the new turn of events, The Doctor moved his focus back to the alien. "Yeah, I know, just a clock. Whatever." He babbled. "But do you know what's happening right now? In one little bedroom, my team are working. Jeff and the world, and do you know what they're doing? They're spreading the word all over the world, quantum fast. The word is out, and do you know what the word is?" He asked the alien rhetorically. "The word is Zero."

Reese then let out a sharp gasp, finally putting the pieces of Jeff, his laptop, hacking that call and what they had instructed Jeff to do. She took a few steps forward, coming to stand a few inches behind The Raggedy Man.

"The virus." She realised, and The Doctor nodded, smiling at her.

Prisoner Zero's face had faltered, which The Doctor picked up on, so he continued his speech. "Now, me, if I was up in the sky in a battleship, monitoring all Earth communications, I'd probably take that as a hint. And if I had a whole battle fleet surrounding the planet, I'd be able track a simple old computer virus to its source in, what, under a minute?" He pondered. "The source, by the way, is right here." He held up Rory's phone.

A bright light shone through one of the windows nearest to Prisoner Zero, temporarily blinding them all. Reese brought her arm up to shield her eyes from the light.

"Oh! And I think they just found us!" The Doctor announced.

"The Atraxi are limited. While I'm in this form, they'll still be unable to detect me." Prisoner Zero said smugly. "They've tracked a phone, not me."

The Doctor nodded. "Yeah, but this is the good bit. I mean, this is my favourite bit. Do you know what this phone is full of?" He goaded. "Pictures of you."

Turning to Rory who was standing a little bit behind her, Reese shot him a discreet thumbs up, mouthing the words nice one, bro to him, causing him to smile sheepishly as The Doctor told Prisoner Zero about all the pictures that her brother had been taking of it over the past few weeks.

"Every form you've learned to take, right here." The Doctor continued talking. "Oooh, and being uploaded about. . .now." He pressed a button on the phone. "And the final score is, no TARDIS, no screwdriver, two minutes to spare." He turned around to his friends behind him, holding his hands in the air in celebration. "Who da man?!"

The excitement that had been bubbling within Reese came to an anticlimactic halt as her smile turned into a grimace. She could feel the judgement on her face as she stared at The Doctor, who looked at her, then Amy and Rory (who must have been wearing similar expressions). Even Prisoner Zero looked vastly unimpressed.

"Oh, I'm never saying that again." He mumbled, looking embarrassed. "Fine."

"Then I shall take a new form." Prisoner Zero countered, causing them all to look back over at it.

The Doctor scoffed at it. "Oh, stop it, you know you can't." He told her. "Takes months to form that kind of psychic link."

A smile formed on the alien's face. "And I've had years."

Furrowing her eyebrows as Prisoner Zero's form started to glow, Reese went to ask The Doctor what it meant. But she was interrupted by a loud thump from behind her, her eyes widening as she saw her redheaded friend collapse to the ground.

"Oh my god," Reese shrilled, rushing over to kneel near Amy's head. "Ames, Amy? Can you hear me?"

The Doctor joined the Williams siblings in crouching down near the Pond woman, placing his hands on her face. "You've got to hold on, Amy!" He worried. "Don't sleep! You've got to stay awake, please."

"Doctor?" Rory tapped the Raggedy Man's shoulder, pointing over to where Prisoner Zero was standing. Now in the form of the Time Lord.

Looking up from Amy, The Doctor pulled a face of confusion as he took in the alien's new form. "Well, that's rubbish." He insulted. "Who's that supposed to be?"

Reese at him incredulously. "It's you." She told him, her hand still stroking Amy's head comfortingly.

"Me?" He wondered aloud. "Is that what I look like?"

"You don't know?" Reese's brother asked him.

"Busy day." The other man shrugged, standing up to make his way over to Prisoner Zero. "Why me, though? You're linked with her, why are you copying me?"

"I'm not." A familiar child's voice made Reese's head snap up from looking at Amy's sleeping form. She was surprised as she watched a young girl that looked exactly like a younger Amelia appear, taking the Zero!Doctor's hand. "Poor Amy Pond. Still such a child inside. Dreaming of the magic Doctor she knows will return to save her." The small girl then sent The Doctor a venomous glare. "What a disappointment you've been."

"No, she's dreaming about me 'cos she can hear me." The Doctor concluded, running back over to where Amy was laying on the ground. "Amy, don't just hear me, listen. Remember the room, the room in your house you couldn't see. Remember you and Reese went inside? I tried to stop you both, but you did."

A lightbulb went off in Reese's head as she realised what The Doctor was trying to get the unconscious girl to do. She then placed one of her hands on Amy's shoulder, recalling the creature the both of them had seen when they ventured into Amy's hidden room.

"Ames," Reese spoke softly to her friend. "Remember? The creature looked like a snake, and it's teeth were really sharp. It was behind you when I was at the door."

She looked up to The Raggedy Man for confirmation that she was going down the right path. He nodded at her, motioning for her to continue.

"You need to dream about what we saw, Amy."The blonde instructed. "You can do it, c'mon."

"No!" A yell of protest came from Prisoner Zero gave Reese the impression that her advice had worked. "No. . .no!"

The alien then emitted the same glow that it had earlier, and it only took a few moments before it turned into the creature that Reese remembered from the room in Amy's house. The familiar serpent form sent a shiver down Reese's spine as she laid her eyes on it once again.

The Doctor turned around, facing Prisoner Zero in its natural form. "Well done, Prisoner Zero." He congratulated sarcastically. "A perfect impersonation of yourself."

Prisoner Zero was then caught in the light that the spaceship outside was using to scan for the creature, finally able to catch its target.

"Prisoner Zero is located, Prisoner Zero is restrained." The deep voice announced from its place in the sky.

The alien writhed in pain, before letting out a low hiss. "Silence, Doctor." Prisoner Zero looked at the Time Lord, before moving its gaze to Reese, staring at her as it uttered its final words to them all. "Silence will fall."

The alien's actions didn't go unnoticed by The Doctor, nor Reese. The latter frowned deeply as she watched it fade away along with the prison ship that had come to collect it. Standing up and slowly making her way over to The Doctor, Reese gave him a quizzical look.

"What did it mean by that?" She asked him. "Silence will fall?"

He looked down at the Williams girl, before shaking his head. "Probably just trying to scare us." He muttered, but he didn't sound like he even believed himself.

From behind the two of them came a groan, Amy just now waking up from whatever sleep Prisoner Zero had put her in. Reese turned, letting out a sigh of relief as she saw her friend's eyes flutter open, her brother and The Doctor also looking considerably relieved as well.

"Amy, are you okay?" The eldest Williams sibling asked, putting his hands on Amy's cheeks. "Are you with us?"

Nodding, Amy responded groggily. "What happened?"

"He did it, The Doctor did it." Rory told her.

"No, I didn't." The Doctor corrected him, once again typing away on Rory's mobile phone.

Rory looked even more confused. "What are you doing?" He asked the other man.

"Tracking the signal back." He said, moving around the room slightly to get a better signal. "Sorry, in advance."

"About what?"

The Doctor winced slightly. "The bill," he then brought the phone back up to his ear. "Oi, I didn't say you could go! Article fifty-seven of the Shadow Proclamation. This is a fully established, level five planet, and you were going to burn it?"

Coming to stand right beside The Raggedy Man, Reese raised an eyebrow at him. "What are you doing?" She questioned him, echoing her brother's statement from before.

But The Doctor held a finger up to his lips to silence her. This caused the blonde woman to send him an offended look. "What? Did you think no one was watching? You lot, back here. Now!"

Once he'd hung up, he then tossed the phone back to Rory, who caught it nimbly.

"Okay, now I've done it." The Doctor told them all.

He then proceeded to exit the ward hastily, Amy, who had gotten to her feet a few moments before, followed after him quickly, leaving the two Williams siblings standing in the ward. Rory turned to his younger sister with an astonished look on his face.

"Did he just bring them back?" Rory asked, pointing in the direction that The Doctor and Amy had exited. "Did he just save the world from aliens, and then bring all the aliens back again?"

Letting out a large puff of air, Reese shrugged slightly at her brother. "I mean, probably." She betted. "Wouldn't put it past him at this point. Now, come on!"

She gestured for Rory to follow her as she jogged to catch up with Amy and The Doctor, Rory following suit. They ended up catching up with the other two in the changing room that was slightly down the hallway.

The Doctor was sifting through a bunch of abandoned clothes by the time Reese and Rory caught up, Reese merely sent the Time Lord a weird look as he did so. But Rory seemed more irritated.

"What's in here?" Reese asked him.

"I'm saving the world, I need a decent shirt." The Doctor pointed out. "To hell with the raggedy. Time to put on a show!"

"You just summoned aliens back to Earth!" Rory badgered The Doctor, all while the other man started stripping off his clothes. "Actual aliens, deadly aliens, aliens of death, and now you're taking your clothes off. . . Amy, he's taking his clothes off."

Reese couldn't help but watch appreciatively, a small smirk making its way onto her face as The Doctor continued to remove his old, raggedy clothes. "Turn your back if it embarasses you." He offered them.

"Are you stealing clothes now? Those clothes belong to people, you know." Reese's brother complained as he turned his back so that he was facing away from the semi-naked man. He looked at his redheaded girlfriend, who was still watching the scene in front of her appreciatively like Reese. "Are you two not going to turn your back?" He asked them.

The two girls both shook their heads. "Nope." They spoke in unison.

Reese then gave Amy a side glance, quirking an eyebrow at her. "Need I remind you that you are actually in a relationship, Ames?" Reese whispered to her. "I should be the one enjoying this, you know, as the only single one."

The Pond woman merely shushed Reese, causing the shorter woman to roll her eyes, though she never drifted her eyes away from the man in front of her. She heard her brother huff indignantly from behind them.

After a fair few minutes, The Doctor was now somewhat dressed. Now that the old, tattered blue shirt and pinstripe trousers had been discarded, they had been replaced by a grey, long sleeved shirt, and on his bottom half was a pair of dark trousers combined with some suspenders.

An interesting choice, Reese mused as the quartet ran quickly up to the roof where the large eyeball spaceship would be waiting, according to The Doctor.

Once they'd made their way to the roof of the hospital, unsurprisingly being greeted by the massive eyeball, The Doctor walked confidently up to it.

From behind him, Amy yelled over. "So this was a good idea, was it?" She asked unsurely. "They were leaving!"

"Leaving is good," The Doctor admitted. "Never coming back is better."

Reese found herself nodding along in agreement. He had a very good point, sure, they could leave now that they had Prisoner Zero, but who says that they wouldn't find some weird, intergalactic excuse to come back?

Reese's thoughts were disturbed by The Doctor's loud yell. "Come on, then!" His voice boomed. "The Doctor will see you now!"

Much to the blonde girl's horror, the giant eyeball detached itself from the pointy, blue ship that it had been sitting in. It came down and did, what looked like, a quick scan of The Doctor.

"You are not of this world." The ship's monotone voice spoke.

"No, but I've put a lot of work into it." The man in front mused, examining one of the many ties he had on him. He held it up and turned, showing the tie to the group behind him with an unsure look. "I don't know, what do you think?"

Despite the current situation (the giant eyeball in front of them all and whatnot), Reese stepped forward slightly, taking a closer look at the tie, before shaking her head.

"No, the colours clash too much." The Williams girl observed with distaste.

Upon closer inspection, The Doctor realised she was right, nodding his head and tossing the tie over his shoulder, Reese catching it swiftly with a smirk.

Ignoring this interaction, the eyeball carried on questioning him. "Is this world important?"

"Important? What's that mean, important?" The Time Lord asked, looking somewhat offended, throwing another tie over his shoulder to Rory, who also managed to catch it. "Six billion people live here, is that important? Here's a better question. Is this world a threat to the Atraxi?"

Yet another tie was thrown over his shoulder, this time landing on Amy. The redhead merely looked at it in annoyance, before handing it over to her boyfriend. Reese let out a laugh at Rory's confused expression.

"Well, come on!" The Doctor continued badgering the Atraxi. "You're monitoring the whole planet. Is this world a threat?"

A hologram then appeared in front of them all, flickering through various clips of the Earth's history. Reese raised her eyebrows in surprise, the big eyeball had done it's research, it seemed.

"No." The Atraxi concluded.

"Are the people of this world guilty of any crime by the laws of the Atraxi?"

Another brief silence. "No."

"Okay. One more, just one." The Doctor promised. "Is this world protected?" The hologram started up again as he was speaking. "Because you're not the first to come here."

Reese watched in awe as the blue, transparent images flickered incredibly fast. She caught glimpses of metal men, strange salt-shaker-looking robots, and a spider lady. Her attention was only drawn away from the images as The Doctor came to a stop in front of her, holding up the last few ties he still had.

He raised his eyebrows expectantly. "Fancy helping me pick one?" He asked her, smirking slightly.

The blonde nodded, a small smile appearing on her face as she took the ties from his hand. Upon looking at them further, and realising they were all bowties, Reese glanced up at him.

"Are you sure it needs to be a bowtie?" She double-checked, eyeing the items in her hand with reluctance.

The Doctor frowned, crossing his arms at her. "Yes!" He insisted. "Now, if you don't mind, we are on a bit of a time crunch!"

Looking at him in annoyance, Reese mocked his previous statement in a high pitched voice. The Doctor huffed in annoyance, looking like a pissed-off toddler, but this look soon went away as the Williams girl handed him a burgundy coloured bowtie.

Pursing her lips slightly, Reese gave him a look that told him not to challenge her decision. "This one." She advised. "It matches your shirt."

Without thinking, she reached forward and patted his chest, before quickly realising that she invaded his personal space. Reese quickly retracted her hand, smiling tightly at him. The Doctor, who had also gone somewhat quiet at her actions, then nodded briskly, starting to put on the tie he'd been handed.

"Oh, there have been so many!" The Time Lord continued, turning back to face the Atraxi. "And what you've got to ask is. . .what happened to them?" The hologram continued to flicker through images, but now it showed various pictures of different men.

From an older, grey-haired man, to a younger one with a colourful scarf. Reese raised her brows when a man wearing a long, leather trench coat was shown, before another man, who was wearing the same clothes that The Doctor had initially been wearing (though his looked more intact).

Reese realised that all these men were actually the very men who she had been with all day, who was now adorned in a tweed jacket as he stood watching the flickering hologram with a smug look on his face.

The Doctor then stepped through the hologram, and right up to the giant eyeball. "Hello, I'm The Doctor." He introduced himself. "Basically. . .run."

Amy's laughter could be heard as they all watched as the Atraxi ship departed, flying high into the clouds, before disappearing out of sight. Reese couldn't help but smile as she watched it, as well.

"Is that it?" Amy asked The Doctor. "Is that them gone for good? Who were they?"

Reese looked away from the sky at the same time as the redhead, glancing over to where she thought The Doctor was standing, but found herself frowning as he was nowhere to be seen. She looked back over to Amy, who also looked just as confused.

Noticing that the door to the roof was swinging, as though someone had just moved it to get past, Amelia soon made her way off of the roof, and Reese also wasted no time in following her.

As they ran back to the Pond residence, Reese felt herself running out of breath just as they made it to the back garden, only a few steps behind Amy. She almost ran into her friend's back when the ginger came to an unexpected halt.

The Doctor was nowhere to be seen, and neither was his blue police box, his TARDIS, Reese recalled him calling it. Instead all herself, Amy and Rory were greeted with was a wheezing noise.

A pit of disappointment formed in Reese's stomach as she realised what had happened. The Doctor was gone, he'd left without so much as a second thought.

She looked over to Amy, noticing the single tear that fell from her friend's eye, Reese reached across and took her pale hand into her own. Amy gripped her hand tightly, closing her eyes as the wheezing noise disappeared completely.

Guess Reese wouldn't be made into a believer quite yet.

Two Years Later. . .

Leadworth Village, England, 2010

THE COLD NIGHT AIR MADE REESE SHIVER, bringing her black zip-up sweatshirt tighter against her body. She brought the cigarette up to her lips, inhaling the smoke as she looked up at the stars in the night sky.

With a deep exhale, the smoke came back out through her mouth, and the Williams girl brought her unused hand up to pinch the bridge of her nose as another shooting pain spread through her forehead.

Suppose it serves me right for being up this late, she thought to herself.

It had been a pretty busy day for Reese, what with her best friend marrying her brother the next morning, and with her also being Amy's maid of honour. She had spent the better part of a year helping Amy and Rory plan their wedding. She even designed the invites for them, free of charge, obviously.

With spending a pretty chill night at Amy's house, the two of them watching cheesy rom coms and eating a takeaway, whilst also downing a few homemade cocktails (they had ended up finding some recipes on the internet). When they'd ended up falling asleep, Reese felt somewhat relieved, having not enjoyed a decent night's sleep in about five days, which she put down nerves at the thought of having to make a maid of honour speech, she welcomed how easily she had managed to fall asleep in Amelia's bed.

But, of course, she only got to enjoy about two hours of blissful sleep, before she shot awake, her nightmares once again plaguing her. Out of sheer frustration, Reese had made her way downstairs and opened her emergency pack of cigarettes. She never usually smoked, and was pretty good at restraining herself if she ever wanted one randomly, but this night was an exception.

As she stood at the back door of Amy's house, the blonde (yes she had kept up with her blonde and pink hair dye) wondered why her nightmares just wouldn't seem to go away. She hadn't watched anything that was remotely scary for months, in hopes that it was her affinity of horror movies that gave her these bad dreams. But that never worked either.

Reese sighed deeply, chucking the cigarette in her hand onto the gravel step outside the back door, using her white plimsoll to step on it and assure it was out. She went to turn around and close the door, but was stopped short as she heard a familiar noise.

The Williams girl's breath hitched as she heard the noise that she had made such an effort to never think about these past couple of years. Her hand gripped the door handle tight as she peered into the Pond's garden, eyes widening as she saw the familiar, blue police box appear before her very eyes.

Footsteps approached from behind Reese, and Amy came to stand right beside the shorter woman, dressed in her nightgown and a thin housecoat.

"Is that-?" Amy asked, sounding out of breath.

Reese nodded. "I think so."

The two girls then shared a wide-eyed look, before Amy was the first to take a step out into her backyard. Reese followed suit, coming to a stop beside the redhead once again. Reese felt her chest tighten as The Doctor exited his TARDIS, quickly shutting the door and turning to the women who stood a few feet away.

"Sorry about running off earlier!" The man apologised to them in a raised voice. "Brand new TARDIS, just had a quick hop to the moon and back to run her in. She's ready for the big stuff now."

Though most people would probably have focused on the fact that he'd just admitted to being on the moon, Reese felt the already present frown on her face deepen at his apology.

Earlier? She thought in her head as she mulled over his words. How long did he think he had been away for?

"It's you." Amy breathed out. "You came back."

The Doctor's expression turned confused at the surprise in her voice. "Course I came back, I always come back." He assured, causing Reese to raise an eyebrow as Amy stalked towards the TARDIS. "Something wrong with that?"

Reese felt his eyes on her as he asked this, clearly having seen her skeptical expression. She looked up to meet his eyes, stepping forward slightly. "And you kept the clothes?" She asked him, eyeing him up and down.

Amy sniggered at Reese's judgmental tone, causing The Doctor to frown. "Well, I just saved the world, the whole planet, for about the millionth time, no charge." He defended himself. "Yeah, shoot me! I kept the clothes."

Reese scanned his figure quickly, resisting the urge to smirk at the sight of the bowtie she had picked for him still being worn around his neck.

"Including the bowtie?" Amy observed, her eyes flickering over to Reese as she said this.

"Yeah, it's cool. Bowties are cool." He insisted.

Reese couldn't help but shake her head at him. "They're really not." She informed him.

Looking even more offended, The Doctor pointed at her. "But you chose this for me!"

"Doesn't mean I think they're acceptable to wear." The Williams girl bantered with him, smiling lightly.

Opting to steer the conversation away from The Doctor's attire, Amy peered at the Time Lord with curiosity. "Are you from another planet?" She asked him outright.

Turning to look at the man, Reese waited expectantly, not really expecting the answer they got. Even though she knew it was silly of her given what she had witnessed last time she'd seen him.

"Yeah."He told the two women.

Amy nodded slowly. "Okay. . ."

Noting Reese's silence, The Doctor turned to her, raising an eyebrow at her. "Is that okay with you?" He wondered, a hopeful look in his eye.

Reese nodded immediately. "Of course."

He smiled. "Good." He said, leaning against the police box. "So. . .what do you think?"

"Of what?" Amy asked him in confusion.

"Other planets." He told them both. "Wanna check some out?"

"What does that mean?" The ginger woman urged.

"It means. . .well, it means. . ." He trailed off, looking nervously between Reese and Amy. "Come with me."

Reese found herself being unable to form words as his offer was put to them. Or was it even them? After all, it was Amy he'd initially returned for two years before, not Reese. So, to save any embarrassment when it turned out that the offer was only for Amy, Reese continued on with her silence.

Amy eyed him with suspicion. "Where?" She asked The Doctor in response.

"Wherever you like." He spoke slowly, in an attempt to make his offer sound more cool.

Reese expected Amy to jump at his offer to her, but the redhead was surprisingly nervous as she eyed the police box, then The Doctor again.

"All that stuff, the hospital, the spaceships, Prisoner Zero. . ." Amy trailed off as she recalled the events of a few years prior.

"Oh, don't worry, that's just the beginning." He reassured, flitting his gaze over to Reese, observing her almost emotionless response to his offer and becoming slightly confused.

"Yeah, but those things, amazing things, all that stuff. . ." Amelia's face grew angry as she leaned over to The Doctor. "That was two years ago!"

Suddenly realising why both women had been so astonished to see him, The Doctor made a noise of realisation. He looked over to Reese, who had her lips pressed into a thin line as she nodded over to him with a yep, you screwed up expression.

"Oh," He winced, pointing at Reese. "Now your annoyed looks make sense."

"Yeah," the Williams girl nodded sarcastically. "You think?"

"So that's. . ." He trailed off again as he turned back to Amy.

"Fourteen years!" Amy exclaimed.

"Fourteen years since fish custard." The Doctor mused. "Amy Pond, the girl who waited, you've waited long enough."

"When I was a kid, you said there was a swimming pool and a library, and the swimming pool was in the library."

Reese raised her eyebrows at Amy's words, thinking about how much of a mess that would cause if an accident were to happen whilst someone was in said swimming pool. The TARDIS sounded awfully confusing, in her opinion.

The Doctor tilted his head, thinking something over for a second, before looking back at Amy. "Yeah, not sure where it's got to now. It'll turn up." He paused for a second. "So. . .coming?"

This time he very clearly was speaking to both women, but Reese refused to let any hope build up within her, given that last time she'd done so when it came to The Doctor, he'd left. Though she now knew that he hadn't actually meant to leave for so long, but still.

Staying quiet, the blonde girl looked over at Amy, the two girls meeting eyes, before Amy shook her head. "No." The redhead told him.

"You wanted to come fourteen years ago." The Doctor reminded her.

Amy shrugged. "I grew up." She argued.

A smile then crossed The Doctor's face as he lifted a hand, clicking his fingers with a smug look. "Don't worry, I'll soon fix that."

At the clicking of The Doctor's fingers, the doors to the TARDIS slowly opened, bathing the redhead in a warm, orange glow. Overwhelmed by the sight in front of her, Amy was drawn inside almost right away.

Reese instinctively stepped closer, trying to get a better look at what was inside, and what her best friend had been so drawn-in by, but she stopped short, looking over at The Doctor. Much to her surprise, he hadn't made any attempt to stop her, and was instead watching her with the same smile on his face that he had for Amy.

She then stopped completely, shaking her head and taking a few steps back. Reminding herself that it was Amy who he had returned for, not her. These actions from her caused him to frown.

"Well, aren't you coming too?" He asked her, looking confused.

Reese gulped, before shaking her head at him, a fake smile making its way onto her face. "Uh, no." She told him. "It was Amy who you invited, so. . ." She trailed off, shrugging "You were right, she's waited long enough."

The blonde tried to look as unbothered as possible as she spoke. But it was pretty hard when The Doctor was staring at her like she was kicking a puppy right in front of him.

"I don't know why you're under the impression that Amy's the only one I came back for?" The Doctor's statement ended up sounding more like a question as he peered down at the blonde.

Reese folded her arms across her stomach somewhat defensively, shrugging at his words. "Well, I dunno, I just assumed that. . ."

Reese trailed off, realising that the only reason she assumed that The Doctor wouldn't want her to come too was due to her own worries and insecurities. And, judging by the way he was staring confusedly at her reluctance, she has assumed wrong.

Clearing her throat, Reese looked back up at him. "So, um, are you saying that you want me to come too?" There was a hopeful tone to her voice, making the man in front of her grin at her.

Taking a step towards Reese, The Doctor gently put his hand on her shoulder. "Two years ago, I told you that I'd make a true believer of you," He recalled his words to Reese as they drove in that fire engine those few years ago. "And I intend on keeping that promise."

The two of them continued to stare at one another for the next few seconds, before Reese finally broke out of it. She felt a small grin make its way on her face as she nodded minutely.

The Doctor then stepped aside, beckoning with his head for the Williams girl to enter the police box, and Reese did just that. Stepping through the doors, Reese got bathed in the same orange light that Amelia had been before.

Reese couldn't help but let out a gasp as she laid her eyes on the inside of the TARDIS for the first time. She came to stand beside Amy as both girls gaped in awe at the sheer size of the interior. Reese looked around in disbelief, letting her mind wonder how in the world the inside could possibly be so large, even though the outside wasn't even a meter long, at best.

The hexagonal shapes on the walls emitted small glows of their own, and there was a glass set of stairs that led up to the main console, a glass floor also beneath that, too. The console itself has various buttons and controllers, too many for either girl to count, and a screen that hung from near the top of it.

"Holy shi-" Reese's gasp of awe was cut short by The Doctor coming up behind her and Amy

Uh-uh, no." He scolded as he pointed a finger at the blonde-and-pink haired woman. "There will be no such language like that in here."

Reese normally would have scoffed at him and probably swore again, just to be annoying. But instead she merely nodded in agreement, still looking around in awe. Her eyes wandered over to yet another set of stairs that seemed to lead even further into the TARDIS.

After more silence, The Doctor spoke again. "Well? Anything you wanna say? Any passing remarks?" He asked them in excitement. "I've heard them all."

Reese looked away from one of the hexagons she had been looking at, and over to Amy, who was quiet for a moment, before coming to a realisation. "I'm in my nightie." She said.

This realisation also reminded Reese of her attire, causing her to look down at her Star Wars t-shirt and light blue pajama bottoms. She grimaced, looking back up at The Doctor and Amy.

"I actually forgot about that, too." The Williams girl admitted, pointing at her jammies.

The Doctor looked slightly surprised at this, but merely waved off their concerns. "Oh, don't worry." He reassured them. "Plenty of clothes in the wardrobe, and, possibly, a swimming pool."

Jesus Christ, how big is this place? Reese thought to herself, as she took a few more steps forward so that she now stood at the bottom of the stairs.

"So. . .all of time and space, everything that ever happened or ever will. . ." The Doctor trailed off. "Where do you wanna start?"

Reese let herself breath out, her shoulders relaxing at his question. She looked up at him from her spot near the stairs and looked to the side as Amy walked up the steps, coming to a stop near the console.

"You are so sure that we're coming." Amy challenged him, crossing her arms.

"Yeah, I am." The Doctor nodded.

"Why?" Reese finally piped up again, now also making her way up the stairs and coming to stand beside Amy. "How do you know that we're definitely gonna go with you?"

Smiling, The Doctor pressed a couple of buttons on his console before looking back over to the two women. "Because, Amy, you're the Scottish girl in an English village." He pointed out, before shifting his attention to the blonde girl. "And you, Reese, you're the only person in Leadworth with pink hair."He came over to where Reese was standing, lifting up a piece of her freshly-dyed hair before dropping it again. "And I know how both of those things feel."

The tall redhead narrowed her eyes at him. "Oh, do you?"

"Yeah, 'cos I cannot imagine you with pink hair." Reese added cheekily, and she heard Amy let out a chuckle.

Rolling his eyes with a slight smile, The Doctor nodded at them both. "All these years living here and you still have that accent and have kept that hair?" He pointed out. "Yeah, you're coming."

Amy walked nearer to The Doctor, passing Reese, who was still looking at him with skepticism.

"Can you get me back for tomorrow morning?"

Amy's question caused the shorter woman to straighten up. In all the excitement of The Doctor's return and the shock they had been in when they saw the inside of the TARDIS, Reese had, admittedly, forgotten about their pretty important plans for the next day.

"It's a time machine, I can get you back five minutes ago." He explained to her, looking up in curiosity. "Why? What's tomorrow?"

Reese and Amy shared a look, the latter giving the tiniest shake of her head as an indication for Reese not to say anything about the wedding. Reese felt somewhat bad as she thought about her older brother, who right now, was none the wiser about what his fiancé and sister were up to.

But if The Doctor was telling the truth, and he could definitely bring them back in time for the next morning, where was the harm in keeping this small piece of information from The Doctor. Plus, Reese was now overcome with an eagerness to see what amazing things the man across from her was speaking of.

Reese shook her head nonchalantly. "Nothing." She told him, wandering over to where he and Amy stood. "Nothing, just. . .you know, stuff."

The Time Lord's eyes remained on Reese as he searched her face for any signs of her words being a lie, and soon seemed satisfied as he nodded in response. "Alright, then. Back in time for stuff."

A noise then emitted from the console, before a device was extended from one of the compartments on the surface. It was long and slender, and Reese squinted her eyes as she tried to figure out what it was.

The Doctor seemed excited by this as he picked up and held onto one of the bronze grips near the bottom. "Oh, a new one!" He then pointed it, a green light glowing near the end. "Lovely, thanks dear." He then patted the console.

Reese assumed that this was probably a replacement for his sonic screwdriver, the device that she had grabbed for him before her and Amy came face to face with Prisoner Zero. She remembered how it had broken when The Doctor over exerted its abilities in an attempt to get the aforementioned alien caught by the Atraxi. The two devices made similar noises, though this newest one sounded a bit lower than the old, blue one.

Amy tilted her head and stared at The Doctor before asking, "why us?"

"Why not?" The Doctor countered.

"No seriously." Amy persisted. "You are asking us to run away with you in the middle of the night."

Reese nodded in agreement "It's a fair question, Doctor." The blonde backed up her friend. "Why us?"

Shrugging sheepishly, The Doctor continued to fiddle with a bunch of buttons. "I dunno. Fun. Do I have to have a reason?"

"People always have a reason." The Pond woman stated.

"Do I look like people?" The Time Lord wondered, smirking slightly at Amelia.

Amy crossed her arms at him, looking a tad annoyed. "Yes."

Realising that neither woman was about to leave the subject alone without getting an answer from him, The Doctor sighed lightly. "Been knocking around on my own for a while." He informed them, causing Reese to frown slightly. "My choice, but I've started talking to myself. It's giving me earache."

Reese felt somewhat taken aback, not expecting him to admit that he actually felt pretty lonely. Despite his cheerful front, as she examined The Doctor closer and for longer, she could see a slight sadness lurking behind his eyes that she hadn't picked up on before.

"So, you're lonely?" Reese reiterated, leaning her palm on a free space on the console, a warm feeling spreading up her arm as she did so. "That's it? Just that?"

"Just that." The Doctor promised, his eyes flicking quickly down to where Reese's hand sat on the console, before looking back up at her. "Promise." He then reached up and twisted a dial on the small monitor that Reese had seen earlier.

Amy nodded. "Okay."

The three of them then came to stand at one of the railings that surrounded the main part of the TARDIS, Reese continued to examine the machine's exterior with a small smile on her face. Amy still looked somewhat overwhelmed.

"So, are you both okay, then?" The Doctor checked, examining Reese and Amy closely. "Cos this place, sometimes it can make people feel a bit. . .you know."

Reese nodded, looking over to him with a smile. "I actually feel remarkably fine." She assured him, before tilting her head to the side with a shrug. "You know, for having just entered a tiny police box that's bigger on the inside than it is on the outside."

The Doctor let out a breathy laugh, before both he and Reese turned to Amy, who looked at them, still kind of in shock. "I'm fine." She nodded at them both, and the other girl raised a skeptical brow at her shaky voice. "It's just. . .there's a whole world in here, just like you said. It's all true." Amy continued looking around in awe as The Doctor watched on with a grin. "I thought. . .well, I started to think that maybe you were just, like, a madman with a box." Amy finished her ramble, her face turning slightly guilty as she brought her hand up to her mouth.

"Amy, Reese," The Doctor addressed the two of them with a serious expression. "There's something you two had better understand. It's important, and one day, your life may depend on it."

Reese found herself frowning in confusion at his warning, her mind wandering to anything that could possibly be so important as to warrant such a warning.

Giving him a serious look back, Reese raised her eyebrows expectantly at him. "What is it?" She wondered.

A smirk appeared on his face as he leaned forward. "I am definitely a madman with a box." He told them, tapping Reese's nose as Amy let out a laugh.

The Williams girl let out a relieved laugh as she watched with a smile as he ran back over to the TARDIS console. Reese wasted no time in running over to join him, watching excitedly as he pressed even more buttons, Amy came to stand on his other side, looking over at Reese with an excited grin, which Reese returned eagerly.

The TARDIS jolted, and Reese reached out to latch on to The Doctor's arm, Amy doing the same. The Time Lord looked between the two women on either side of him, the three of them smiling at each other.

"Goodbye, Leadworth!" The Doctor exclaimed. "Hello, everything!"

Reese let out a laugh. She didn't know where the three of them would end up, nor what would happen. But the one thing she did know was that, for the first time in years, she was excited.

I do not own Doctor Who, or any of the canon characters affiliated
