Part I: So, they killed Cassandra first 'cause she feared the worst. And tried to tell the town. So they set my life in flames, I regret to say. Do you believe me now?

So, I'm bored and taking a break from working on my apply fic and now I just want to gush about some of my favorite OCS and I would also like to hear you gush about your characters too lol.

One of my recent favorites is Cersei Sówka, probably because she is my most recent one, but I'm so in love with her. I wanted to do something a little bit different with her like a lot of my characters are usually very aloof and almost cold (Helena, Louise, Sini, Tatiana to name a few. Emma was my first kind of warm character in a while) and I wanted to make an OC based on the sun. But like this:

So I made Cersei very fierce and angry. She is supposed to be a witch, but I admit that a lot of her personality was inspired by werewolves. She is kind of animalistic, growling and sharp claws kind of thing. I seen this post where its like "there are hardly any mainstream female werewolves because they break the classic rules of femininity" and that inspired to make Circe into kind of a wild animal. Someone that doesn't follow rules, someone that breaks chains. 

But the thing with Circe is that I didn't want her to be a bad person because of her anger and passion and sharp words. At the core of her being, she is someone that wants to do good. She is someone that is good, but not totally nice. And she doesn't really mean to be cruel, but sometimes she is. I kind of made her into a martyr without really meaning to, but it makes sense to call her that. She is just a very extroverted, cocky and powerful person and it felt very freeing to make her as someone that is quite literally the opposite of all those things.

I love characters who believe that "the end justifies the means" or "the haunted seer" trope and I think that's why I threw Cersei in the opposite direction. Despite being a seer, she believes in the present. She isn't haunted by an everchanging future. (Though I do think it eventually creeps up upon her, she tries so hard not to fall into the madness that many seers do and it ends up happening anyway kind of vibe.) 

Because of that I ended up with a seer that is kind of like a stray dog and I think I love that so much more than what usually comes with a seer OC. She honestly ended up becoming one of my favorite OCS I have ever made. Her main face claim is Ethel Cain (Hayden Anhedönia) and I just think she fits the vibe so well. I knew I wanted a transgender face claim for Cersei because she's trans, but I struggled so hard with finding someone and I don't know. Ethel Cain just ended up clicking with me. It doesn't hurt that I have wanted to use her as a face claim for so long lol.
