Twenty-One
The morning sun woke me up. Aonung slowly woke up. We slept on a rock in each other's arms.
"Eywa ngahu morning." Aonung said.
I heard the word 'Eywa' again. I still have no idea what that means.
"What does Eywa mean?" I ask.
He looks at me surprised.
"Eywa is everything. She's life. She's the great mother." He said.
I look at him confused. Yeah, I'm still not following.
"She's the air we breathe. She's everything you see. She's the planet itself." He said.
I nod.
"She sounds amazing." I say.
He puts his hand on my shoulder.
"She's not amazing as me." He smiled.
I push him into the water. I spent the entire night here. I take the bottle with black fire in it.
"We should probably get back before Jake and Neytiri come looking for me." I say.
He nods. He calls it. I jump into the water. We ride back to the shore.
"I can't wait for you to get your memories back. I can then repay you for punching me in the face." He said.
"I did what?"
"Long story short your little brother goes into the fight and then you protected him by punching me."
"Well, you probably deserved it." I shrug.
He hisses at me jokingly.
