Three

"Ohe kawkrr ngenga to find something." She said.

(I need you to find something.)

"Find what?" I ask.

Fire erupted from the bowl. I draw back shocked.

"Fire. Black fire. It is hidden in the Omaticaya clan." She said.

Omaticaya? Why does that name sound familiar. I rub my head. C'mon, c'mon, think. I'm sure I've heard it before.

"Why do you want me to find it? Why me?" I ask.

"You're special boy." She said.

"I don't even know my own name." I say.

"Neteyam." She answered.

"What?"

"Your name is Neteyam." She said.

Neteyam, Neteyam. Yeah. That suits me. I feel like it's familiar.

"Why am I special?" I ask.

"You will find out." She said.

A vine lowered itself down to me. I grab it.

"Why do you need it?" I ask.

"You'll find out soon enough child." She said.

Her voice fades. I nod. I climb up the vine. I get up out of the ditch.  I see a world around me. A world of colors and water clear like crystals. I smell the air. It smells fresh like flowers. The bare rock feels hot and smooth against the sun. I look at it. I don't even know what I'm supposed to be looking for. I don't even know what are the Omaticaya. I know that name. I have a feeling where to look. I look back at the ditch. I almost fall when I see vines growing horizontally. They completely cover the ditch.

"Well, I have to find the fire." I mutter moving down the mountain.
