Slytherin Family

"You mean to tell me that 'You Know Who' is out there right now in the forest?" Emerie asked, eager to know what happened to Nesta after she and Morrigan left with Gabe.

After their encounter with Balthazar, Eris ended their punishment earlier than expected. Though it wasn't going to stop the earful they were all going to get in the morning from each of their Perfects.

Nesta, Emerie, and the twins decided to talk about it right in front of the Slytherin house. Not enough to go down the stairs but enough to find a comfortable place to sit.

Nesta nodded. "Yes," Gwyn gasped. "But she's weak."

"So, Tamlin doesn't want to steal the stone for himself," Catrin began as Gwyn added on. "He wants to steal it so he can get it for Amarantha." she finished. Nesta continued. "With the elixir of life, Amarantha will be strong again."

"But if she comes back, you don't think she'll try to...kill you?" Gwyn asked nervously.

Nesta didn't hold back on her answer. "I think if she had the chance, she would've killed me tonight."

"Oh no."

"And I thought my Potions Final was bad."

"Guys, wait!" You forgot the most important thing. Nesta and the twins turned to Emerie. "Who's the one wizard/high Lord that Amarantha always feared?" Everyone either looked away or shrugged. "Kallias. Nesta, as long as Kallias is still breathing, not even Amarantha can touch you."

"I sure hope you're right, Em."

"Oh, Nesta~" Nesta flinched at the sound of her name. She knew that voice. All of the Slytherins knew that voice. You can't be a Slytherin and NOT know that voice.

Emerie and the twins stood upon their feet. "Who's that?" Catrin asked as Nesta gulped. "My house ghost. Bloody Baron." As if on cue, an old man with chains on his wrists flew towards the terrified girls. He was smiling from ear to ear. "Good evening, ladies."

"Don't you have some Slytherins to be watching over?"

"Pushy already? I was gonna save you the trouble of facing your Perfect, but I guess I might as well let you have the boot."

"What!?" Now Nesta had her undivided attention. "How did he-" Baron chuckle. "He's a Perfect kid, what did you expect?" Before Nesta could protest about being snitched on, Bloody Baron flew off further into the Slytherin house.

Nesta groaned. "What's wrong?" Emerie asked as Nesta sighed. "Rowans knows about the 50 house points. And he's not happy."

Indeed, he wasn't. As a matter of fact, Rowan was pissed.

The very next day, Rowan practically scolded her for going out at night without telling anyone. She was banned from the Quidditch team until further notice. After he said that, Nesta was furious. A few unkind words later and Rowan and Nesta each gave each other the silent treatment for as long as they could.

Nesta never bothered to show up to any Quidditch games after the argument. The other Slytherins kept telling her that it was for team sportsmanship, but she explained that it made her feel guilty. So every time there was a game, Nesta would hide in the library until it was over.

Not that it mattered/ Danika replaced her as the temporary Seeker. Nesta cursed Rowan's cloak for that. Though, even after he found out, he didn't bother to lecture her. Just broke the curse in Charms class with the other 3rd year students a few days ago.

Right now, Nesta was hanging out with Nora, Bryce, and Tomas. Emerie and the twins were probably doing some other kind of punishment for their Perfects. The Slytherins were upset with her at first, but the 50 points were regained through good grades and good deeds. "So, I was thinking, maybe a toad for his birthday?"

"Nora, your brother doesn't like toads."

"But I do, Bryce," Nora replied as Tomas and Bryce groaned. "That's because you like them. You have to find something that he likes."

"Yeah, right Nesta?" Tomas asked, his and the girls' attention going to Nesta. Nesta was currently going over some Potions notes for her Final in 3 days. She waved her hand off in disinterest. "Do whatever you want," she said boredly.

The young Slytherins looked at her with pity. "Nesta, are you okay?" Bryce asked as Nesta sighed. "Not really."

"You and Rowan still not talking to each other?" Nora asked as Nesta nodded. "It's been a month now. He hasn't even told anyone about the cursed cloak."

"What cursed cloak?" Nesta's head moved before her brain could tell her not to. Rowan was standing there; his face didn't show any real anger or confusion. Only sorrow.

Nesta turned away. "Nothing," she replied, barely audible. Rowan turned to the other Slytherins. "Could you guys give us a minute?" Tomas and the girls didn't hesitate as they ran back to the house.

Once the two of them were alone, Rowan sat down next to Nesta (who was sitting on a water fountain). "Nesta," Rowans began but Nesta huffed. "Unless you're putting me back on the team, I'm not interested."

"Nes, I just wanted to apologize."

"Apology not accepted. Now leave."

"Can you at least hear me out?" Rowan sounded desperate. This outta be good.

Deciding that it would be best to not make her Perfect beg on his knees, Nesta turned to face him. "What do you want?" Nesta asked, waiting for Rowan to respond. He sighed. "I'm sorry Nesta. I didn't mean to say those things to you that day. I was just so angry that I let my temper get the better of me." Nesta rolled her eyes. "Well, it's too late for that."

Rowan cleared his throat. "How about I make you a deal? You don't curse any of my belongings anymore..." Nesta giggled, covering her mouth to muffle the giggles. Rowan smirked. "Yeah, I knew that was you, you little sneak," Rowan said ruffling her braided bun. "Rowan!" Nesta complained and stuck her tongue out. "And in return, I'll let you back on the Quidditch team as our Seeker again."

Nesta beamed with joy. "Really?!"

"I think you've been punished enough." Rowan declared as Nesta wrapped her arms around his neck. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!!" Rowan smiled and returned the hug. "Any time lil' Slytherin."
