The Red Rising

Melissa was walking through Entropy, one of the many worlds that lived among the monsters.

This day was no diffrent from the others.

She strolled around the areas, waving to any monster that she happened to stumble upon, she was especially kind towards them, she was the nicest of the monsters.

She noticed something odd though, they never said a greeting, nor wave back. They were usually polite in her presence... but their behaviour was odd.

Taking it upon herself, she decided to investigate what their worries were.

Oh, how she wishes she didn't.

°¤{Melissa's POV}¤°
"Hello, may I ask you a question?" I asked, making the sloth like creature jump.

She sighed of relief,"Oh Melissa, it's just you... thank goodness. What is your question?" She asked, relieved.

"May I ask what seems to be bothering you?" I asked, worried.

Her eyes widen,"N-nothing! Haha! Just a bit jumpy today, we all have those days." She said, dismissively.

"Uh huh... well, I notice all the creatures seem to be afraid, do you happen to have any clue on why?" I asked.

She shrugged, I knew it was a lie.

"May I know why YOU'RE scared?" I asked.

She looked down,"I-... I don't kno-... to describe... Red..." I stopped her.

"Red? What about him!?" I asked, concerned.

"I-it's probably nothinh, ma'am." She answered, unsure about her answer.

I sighed,"Well, in case it isn't, could you give me your answer?" I asked.

She sighed,"We think... Red could be rising... and he's coming... sooner than we fear." She said.

"I see... thank you for your time." I said, waving farewell.

Red rising? Impossible! Acacius killed him! He turned to ashes when he died! That can't be possible!

Wait...

Who ever said... his ashes would be the end of him?

.

.

.
The room was silent, as we all tried to process the information given to us.

Solomon sighed,"This shouldn't be possible, Red was killed years ago. Acacius made sure of that! He saw him turn to ashes!" Solomon exclaimed.

"Even then, we knew little to nothing of his powers, the only thing we understood he had an earth, water, and air form. Other than that, we don't anything about him." Mothra explained.

"Red did train years for those forms." Solomon explained.

"He... can't just come back from death! ... Can he?" Acacius asked, confused of his own answer.

I sighed,"Maybe this is all a misunderstanding, Red could never come back!" I said, trying to ease the tension.

"I don't know, Melissa. There have been signs of his presence in the areas... so the chances of his returning are not too far off of happening." Mothra explained.

This didn't ease the growing tension in the room, we all sat in the room... fearing of his return... and what he has to bring.

Red has never been the type to give up easily... that's what Solomon has told us, it suprises me that you can come back from death... it's frightening. The idea of Red already scares the creatures... the idea of his return is terrifying.

"If I defeated him once, I can do it again." Acacius said, picking up his sword.

I stood up,"Are you insane!? He nearly killed you last time! If you fight him alone, you'll get yourself killed! Plus, who knows what he's done during death! He could come back stronger than before!" I yelled.

"What other choice do we have? I assume you have one." Acacius said.

"No, but... all I know is you're not fighting him alone! Not this time!" I said.

"Melissa is right, if we want to defeat him, we'll have to fight him together!" Solomon said.

"I'm the weakest link here, so I'll be no help in battle." Mothra said.

Solomon turned to her,"Then we better start training, she already said he could come sooner than we thought, so we might aswell start now." Solomon said.

I sighed,"Alright, let's get going." I said, dissmissing everyone.

.

.

.
Days have gone by and we've been training none stop... and so far... the tension has grown in the worlds, panics are becoming more frequent, and... nothing.

No signs of Red rising.

"I'm... beginning to think... this whole Red Rising thing... is just superstition." Mothra said, catching her breath from punching a punching bag.

"Better safe than sorry." Solomon said.

I sighed,"Who knows when he could come back, he may be gone, but still... the chances of him returning aren't too far off, like you said." I said.

I looked to Anguirus, who seemed a bit shakened.

"Ang, what's wrong?" I askes, worried.

He flinched,"Nothing!" He yelled. I looked at his arm to notice he was holding it... like he got scratched.

"Anguirus, what happened to your arm?" I asked.

He looked away,"That's nothing of your concern." He said.

"It is of my concern and I, as your friend, have the right to be concerned of what's going on." I said, upset.

Anguirus sighed and showed me his arm,"I may or may not have ran into... something on the way here." He said.

My heart dropped... there was a 5 inch scratch on his arm, it was deep, and looked to be caused by a claw.

"What happned!?" I yelled, worriedly.

Anguirus scowled,"NOTHING! I already told you, I ran into something on the way here!" He said, pulling back his arm.

"What was it!?" I asked.

"I don't know! It was something beyond my understanding!" He yelled.

"Both of you, knock it off!" Solomon shouted, making the room silent.

Solomon sighed,"Ang, what happened? You can't play it off like it's nothing..." Solomon looked towards Mothra,"Go get the wrapping bandages." He demanded.

Mothra nodded before running to a room to get the medical supplies.

"What happened?" Solomon asked.

Anguirus looked down,"... I don't know, something... or someone attacked me, they caught me off guard. It wasn't Red... it was one of the creatures. They jumped from a tree and attacked me." Anguirus explained.

Solomon sighed,"Well... atleast that releases some bot of stress and worry." Solomom said.

I sighed, relieved it wasn't Red that caused it. Whatever happened was caused by the creatures... that's some bit of information we have.

"Where did it happen?" Acacius asked, putting his sword down.

"Artic." Anguirus said.

Just then we heard a loud crash from above.

"GODZILLA!!" I yelled, running out of the room.

I ran into Godzilla's area to find he had destroyed yet another fighting dummy.

I sighed,"Hey... you can't be destroying these dummies, they are for training, not something to just keep punching until its head falls off." I said, walking to the closet to get him a new dummy.

"It shows progress at the very least." Godzilla said.

I sighed,"Maybe, but still... I get you're upset and cared about Red, but we can't show Red we are afraid of him. If we do, then... who knows what he'll do..." I said, placing down the new dummy.

"Besides, it's just him that we may have to fight, it's a one on five battle. If you do the math, then you'll understand we have the better advantage of winning." I said, throwing the old parts of the dummy.

He sighed,"It's just... Red has been gone for years... Zach and Acacius defeated him years ago... with the news of him returning... it scares me. I couldn't defeat him, and I'm Godzilla! King of the Monsters... and I was defeated by a red monster." He said, upset.

"Look, I know having the title "King of the Monsters" is stressful, I know it means people will look to you for answer and solutions, but you shouldn't let it get to your head. You may have lost to Red, but so has Solomon... and he knows Red better than anyone in this building, and... yet he still lost." I said, patting his shoulder.

"But even then, he still didn't care... because he knew there was no way Red was getting away with any of that... and he won't get away with it now." I said.

"What I'm saying is, Red is trying to get to you... make you feel weak, useless, and... making you feel less than you are, but you shouldn't let him." I said, reassuringly.

Godzilla sighed,"You're right... Welp, I better get back to trai-" there was a loud crash from the room below us.

"Oh no..." I mumbled, grabbing Godzilla and running downstairs.

"What's going on?!" Godzilla yelled, concerned.

"Nothing, we just wanted to do something to get you guys downstairs faster." Mothra said, putting down a chair.

I sighed of annoyance while Godzilla face palmed,"You gave us a heart attack... and only to have us downstairs?!" I yelled, frustrated.

"Yep, basically it." Mothra said.

"YOU KNOW I WORRY EASILY!!" I yelled.

Solomon sighed,"Enough, both of you." Solomon said.

"Ang finally said what attacked him." Acacius said.

I looked to Angurius,"Well?" I asked, waiting for an answer.

"It was one of those raptors from the Artic." Anguirus said.

.

.

.
We walked through the Artic, looking for the raptor that hurt Anguirus. It was more quiet than it usually was... there would usually be someone walking by.

We continued walling for awhile until...

"AAGH!!" Anguirus shouted, painfully.

A raptor pounced on him from a tree and clawed at his arms, screaming. Solomon grabbed the raptor and threw him against a tree, making the poor thing whince in pain.

"Excuse me, what the hell was that!? Explain yourself!!" Solomon yelled, furious by its actions.

I ran to the raptor's side to check for any injuries caused from the impact. I sighed of relief when I figured it was okay.

"Maybe don't throw the raptors." I said.

"That thing pounced on Ang and then proceeded to claw at his arm! You expect me to just stand there!?" Solomon yelled.

"I expect you to at the very least to refrain yourself from doing any harm towards the creatures." I said, upset.

Solomon sighed,"You. Start talking." Solomon demanded.

The raptor cowred in fear and backed up behind a tree.

"You expect it to talk after what you just did to the poor thing!?" I yelled. I walked behind the tree and spoke...

"Can you please explain your actions towards our friend?" I asked.

"I-I thought... he was-... The Rising One!" The raptor yelled in fear.

"The Rising One?" I asked.

"He who walks these worlds in red, comes to one day to take vengence, and make his enemies dead!" The raptor yelled, fearfully.

"He must be reffering to Red." Mothra said.

Godzilla sighed,"This is worse than we thought." Godzilla said, afraid.

I nodded to the raptor and we soon left the area to discuss the situation and the information.

.

.

.
"Godzilla, please calm down! This isn't helping the situation." Mothra said.

"Calm down? Calm down!? You expect me to be calm after his words!? The chances of red coming back are higher than any of us thought! For all we know, he could be walking these worlds, destroying and annihilating everything in his path as we speak!" Godzilla yelled, visibily stressed.

"How is it possible to come back from death?" Acacius asked, confused and worried.

"That's a question you don't want the answer to." Solomon said.

Anguirus snapped,"This whole thing is just superstition! Let's just announce to the creatures that everything is fine and cool it!" Anguirus yelled.

"Do not raise your voice, Ang!" Mothra yelled.

"I've had enough, Mothra! We are running around these worlds and so far, NOTHING! Everybody is just panicing over things so minor, that it is beyond ridiculous by this point!" Anguirus yelled.

"ENOUGH!" I yelled, silencing everyone in the room.

"Now that I have you fools attention, Godzilla, I get your stressed, but now is not the time to panic. Ang, I get your upset, frustrated even, but yelling won't solve any of our problems. We all are going through this together, we all feel scared, afraid, paniced, and worried, but we all must remain calm for now. Panicing doesn't make anybody think faster." I said.

The room was silent as the tension in the room began to die down... until we all heard a crash outside, then creatures screaming in fear and pain. A mass panic broke out and we soon left the building to check the situation.

"Oh... dear... what..?" I mumbled, afraid from what layed before us.

Red...

He stood before us... terrorizing all who gazed upon him.

Red chuckled,"Did you miss me?" He asked, smiling menacingly.

"Hardly." Solomon replied, unphased by his return.

"Aaw Solomon, don't be so serious. I just came to greet my old pals!" Red said, chuckling.

Mothra scoffed,"Pals?! You nearly killed us!" She yelled.

Red smiled,"Oh, so you still remember!" Red said.

"Like it was yesterday." I mumbled.

Red laughed,"I told you this wasn't over!" Red said, backing inti the smoke and disappearing.

This day would be forever known as...

The Red Rising

Welp, this is new! Something not Wii Deleted You related... it feels nice to do something new, not gonna lie. Anyways...

I hope you guys, gals, and non-binary pals enjoyed this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it! This was so much fun to write and it is defenitley gonna continue (no duh)

I would also like to make it known that... the characters are human... and not monsters...

LET ME EXPLAIN! I can't draw or write monsters for the life of me... so sorry if that makes you a bit upset. If not, I'll be posting the refrence sheets when I can... and when I start drawing them.

Stay tuned. :)

Taylor over and out.
