ENIGMATIC DESIGNER KNOWN AS LOVELACE FOUND MURDERED IN HER OWN HOME.

Rye in East Sussex, England, is a small costal city known for its rich history and thriving magical community. However, the tight knit community is left reeling after a grisley murder was committed during broad daylight with no one none the wiser until after its occurrence. 

Kang Mi Sun was found murdered in her home on November 22nd after her boyfriend returned home from work. Better known by her designer name Ciana Lovelace, the twenty-six-year-old witch was known for her revolutionary fabric and her unique yet mystical designs that incorporated a seamless talent with an adoration for her magical roots, resulting in a high demand for her elegant clothes.

Sought after by witches and wizards all over the globe, the elusive designer only took a handful of projects every year and her clientele was as varied and unique as her own designs. From royalty to random passerbys, Lovelace was whimsical yet methodical with choosing her clients, generally approaching them with a proposal and always being accepted with eagerness.

Local Magical Law Enforcement took her boyfriend, Thomas Alkine, into custody upon arriving at the house, though he has since been cleared of any suspicion by both the LMLE Leading Officer and the Aurors the Ministry dispatched to investigate the scene. Alkine, has since asked for privacy in this time of grief and declined to make a comment when a representative reached out.

On the outside, the small stone house doesn't appear to be disturbed, but the inside is a different story, particularly with the white sheet overlaying the victim's body.

Upon entry, it's clear there was a struggle with overturned furniture and magical residue lingering inside. Lovelace's wand was found broken near the front door and it is assumed the perpetrator quickly disarmed Lovelace before immobilizing her and bringing her to the living room. 

It is here that LMLE officers deduced Lovelace was tortured for a prolonged period of time. Judging by the amount of blood on the floor and the magical scarring on Lovelace's body, it is believed she was being tortured for information, though the nature of that information is unknown. In addition to severe lacerations and bruising, evidence of all three Unforgivable Curses are present. 

LMLE officers believe that the perpetuator, after receiving the desired information from Lovelace, had her write a message in her own blood on the wall before killing her.

The cryptic message is being thoroughly examined, though the house has since been closed off to the public eye due to Aurors arriving on scene. 

An on-going investigation has been opened up. Both Alkine and Lovelace's family have asked that if you have any information you believe may be pertinent to capturing Lovelace's murderer to come forward. They are all committed to bringing the killer to justice.

The community has rallied around Lovelace and a wand-light vigil will be held in a few weeks time in honor of the witch.
