Chapter 3 - The Sea of Time
The Yellow Submarine Fanfiction
A/N: So much time yet so little motivation but thanks to an idol of mine of wattpad I think I can carry on and maybe one day I can made a fanfic without using the movies for a Beatles Fanfic.
Chapter 3 – The Sea of Time
I was sitting on one of the chairs as the boys took a look around the submarine as uncle Fred went to look for the oil can.
"So, this is a submarine." Paul observed with John.
"Soft, isn't it?" George asked looking around him.
Ringo came from underneath the floor looking up at his mates. "Not if you're on the bottom."
“Ringo, how did you get down there?” I asked looking down at him.
“I just went through the door luv.” He said with a shrug.
I blinked.
"All right, lads and lass, time to stow the gab and turn to." He told us as he went into the cupboard.
"Groovy." Paul commented excitedly. "How do you start this thing?"
Uncle Fred opened the cupboard and took out the oil can. "It starts with a Blue Meanie attack."
"That wasn't what he meant uncle." I told him looking away from the scanning screen to him.
"Oh."
"Supposing there's no Blue Meanies in the neighbourhood?" John asked.
"Well, then uh then you start looking for a switch." Uncle Fred told them with a shrug.
Ringo looks over to me after getting out the hole. "Do you know which button Nemo?"
I shrug. "Just press a random button Ringo nothing bad will happen."
He gave a look before looking at all the buttons, knobs and switches, before covering his eyes and pressing something. And would you know it, it was the right one, music began to play.
Ringo uncovered his eyes and grinned to the others. "Perhaps this is it."
The boys began bobbing their heads to the beat and before I knew it Paul began to sing.

I looked out the windows with Ringo as he pointed out a rather odd fish that had human arms.

The boys turned away from the windows and started to work on the submarine while Uncle Fred took on steering it. I had to cover my mouth from laughing as Ringo stole uncle's sailor hat and put it on his head before saluting to me. Uncle gave Ringo a look before going back to the steering.

Paul walked over to where I was by the sink, placing the bouquet of flowers into a vase and placing to the side. I gave him a smile before leaning against the sink with him in front of me, looking at my hat.
"Can I help you with something Paul?" I asked, crossing my arms.
"I was wondering, why you are wearing a captain's hat that looks exactly like your uncles'?" he asked.
I smile went away as I reached up to the hat with my right hand. "Oh, well uhh, when we were attacked by the Blue Meanies, I had to sacrifice my hair as it were in exchange for my own life."
"Uh so like a bad hair day?" Ringo asked as he came over to me.
"Actually yes, a very bad hair day." I told the both of them.
"Oh that's too bad." Paul said. "Bet you have lovely hair."
"It probably still is I reckon." George commented as he walked by them.
"I reckon so myself." John agreed from across the room.
I smiled at them before looking down and placing my hand back to my side.
"Her hair." My uncle came in. "was, no is the treasure of Pepperland now get back to work lads!"
And with that they split up but not before Paul gave Nemo a bit of a twirl making her giggle before reaching her destination.

I went over to my uncle's station and rolled my eyes when Paul nudged when he sang/asked can he take his friend to bed and pushed him away laughing before going back to what I was doing, such as what exactly what each do.
The next thing I knew we were passing through octopuses spewing out their ink when they saw us. We had to do our best in avoiding them

I looked up at the screen and found that we were in a different type of sea, way more different than the last one.
"What time is governor?" Ringo asked pointing at something through the window.
All of the sudden; the clocks and calendars began to go haywire; going backwards and forward.
"It's time!" John announced wiggling his eyebrows, as he took a confused looking Ringo by the shoulder. "For time!
"Look." I said pointing to the clocks. "The hands are slowing down."
"And we are going backwards." Paul notified us, looking out of the window. "Hey, do you ever get the feeling..."
"Yeah?" John said looking over to John.
"That things aren't as rosy as they appear to be under the surface?" Paul asked.
I narrowed my eyes him in suspicion, did he know what lay… or lie beneath my hat?
George looked over to John from where uncle was steering. "What's happening, John?"
John leaned forward against a pipe and took in a deep breath. "Well, in my humble opinion, we've become involved in Einstein's time-space continuum theory, relatively speaking, that is."
"Of course." George muttered, rolling his eyes.
We all decided to take a break since the submarine was doing the moving by itself and didn't look like to be moving anywhere else anytime soon. I watched the clock –along with the others- as time itself slowly began to stop.
"Maybe time's gone on strike." George suggested.
"What for?" Paul asked from beside me.
George shrugged. "Shorter hours."
"I don't blame it." Ringo spoke up. "It must be very tiring being time, mustn't?"
"Why?" we all asked.
"Well it's a twenty-four hour day, isn't it?" Ringo told us.
"You surprise me, Ringo." John said leaning against his hand.
"Why?" Ringo asked getting up from his chair and walked over to us.
"Dealing in abstracts." John answered with a grin.
Ringo frowned and pointed a finger at John. "Now look here John, just because I am a drummer-"
I blinked as Ringo began to go smaller, I looked up at the clock and my eyes widen as I watch the hands go backwards.
"Doesn't mean that I... I you know I don't half feel funny." He stopped midway, his deep voice becoming higher.
"Hey Ringo, you're not half the lad you used to be." Paul told him, shrinking himself.
"What in the name of mother goose is going on?" I asked as I began to shrink myself and almost falling off the pipe were it not for… my younger looking uncle helping me down along with Paul.
"Look, everything's getting bigger." Young George said.
"It's not." John said, hanging by the pipe he was leaning against. "It's us that are getting smaller."
Poor young Ringo began to sniffle as tears came to his eyes which he tried to wipe away with his large tie. "I want me mam!"
"And younger." I observed pulling up my now too big of a hat.
Uncle Fred took my hat off along with his as he combed his new black hair before giving Ringo a handkerchief.
"There you are lads and lass, Old Fred will get you out of all this." Uncle Fred assured us.
Ringo took the handkerchief and blew loudly.
The other boys looked over to me and did a double take.
"Blimey Nemo!" George said walking over to me. "Are those flower buds?"
"Rose buds to be precise lads." Old Fred said watching the boys as they walked over to Nemo.
Me being Young Nemo in her jacket and dress looked quite adorable, not to mention my blonde locks and had several buds hanging about. Yes I looked quite the little fairy I guess.
"You're pretty." Ringo proclaimed.
"Hey maybe the time can fix your hair?" John thought out loud.
I shrug. "Maybe."
"Hey, look at that." Ringo called to us, pointing out the window. "It's all a load of Father Xmas's."
"It's not." John said from beside him as the lot of us stretch ourselves to the limit just to look out of the window. "It's Father Time."
"How do you know?" Ringo asked looking over to John.
"I read it in a book once." He told him.
"Now, I don't want to alarm you mates." Old Fred called for our attention back to him. "But the years are going backwards."
"No schnitzels uncle." I mumbled looking over at the little boys.
"What's that mean, Old Fred?" George asked.
"It means that if we slip back through time at this rate, very soon we'll all disappear up our own existence." Uncle Fred explained.
"What are we gonna do then?" John asked.
"I suppose we could always try a few buttons." Uncle Fred said as he headed to a panel.
I went over to John by the clock while the other three went off to pull levers and push anything that was pushable.
I look over to John. "Hey, John?"
"Hmm?"
"Would you say that the clock is time, and time is the clock?" I asked.
"Well if you want to get real technical no but I see where you are going." He said, grinning over at me. "Quick help me up."
I gave a nodded and lifted him as much as I could towards the clock.
"I want me mom." Ringo sniffled.
Uncle Fred sighed. "Time's fast running out for us, I am afraid."
"Can't we do something with the clock?" John asked.
"What do you mean?" Ringo asked back.
"Move the hands forward and see what happens John." I told him.
"Clever kids." Uncle said smiling proudly down at us.
I gave him my huge smile before I was tackled from above by John as he fell from the clock. "Oof!"
"Something strange is happening." George said. "It's speeding up now."
"Yeah, we are getting older again." I cheered, pushing an older John off of me. “The bad news though is that we have to go through puberty again.”
“Brilliant.” George voice cracked in sarcasm.
"Easy with the goods love." John said getting up and dusting what dirt that was on his clothes.
I looked over at him, a little confused. "What goods?"
John turned his head towards me about to speak when froze for a bit, blinking and readjusting his glasses a few time.
"What?" I asked, tilting my head.
"I was right, time did fix your hair." He told me.
I blinked a few times before heading over to a mirror that was by the sink, and low and behold, my hair was back, but my buds were still in their younger forms so I guess I have to wait till I was sixty four to see them bloom.
"Funny… a submarine remarkably like our own." Paul said to us as we all walked back to the windows.
"Uncannily." John agreed.
"There's someone in it, look." Ringo said.
"And they're waving." George said.
"It's a group of fellas." Ringo says as he squinted his eyes as if to see them better.
"Wave back." John told us.
We did as we were told.
"But I do not understand." I muttered as I saw familiar faces.
"Maybe we're both part of a vast yellow submarine fleet." George suggested.
Ringo shook his head. "There are only two of us."
I turned around to the guys and my eyes nearly popped out of my head, the guys ' hair were all turning gray. "Um guys?"
"Then I would suggest that yonder yellow submarine is ourselves going backwards in time." John spoke as if not hear me.
"Guys!" I shouted.
Again they ignore me but thankfully George noticed something about Ringo.
"Hey, look at Ringo." George pointed out.
Ringo's hair and beard began to grow at a fast paste, John had started laughing until he realized he was the same.
"Oh dear, we're all the same." He said.
"Senile d-d-delinquents." Paul said before looking over to me.
My hair lengthens down to the floor as my buds became small roses that were beginning to grow white as I aged.
"Shh, and I can hear my beard growing." George said as he too grew a beard.
“That sounds gross and intereting at the same time George.” Nemo grimaced.
"We better do something." Ringo told us.
Everyone looked to Paul who simply shrugged before taking me by the hand and began to dance. I didn't know what I was more surprised about, Paul dancing with me as he sang or that our bones weren't breaking or cracking at the slightest movement.
When I get older losing my hair
Which is funny since none of us haven’t lost our hair, yet anyway.
Many years from now
I had to stop myself from laughing as Ringo and John played patty cake while George and Uncle Fred danced the tango together.
Will you still be sending me a valentine?
Birthday greetings bottle of wine?
If I'd been out till quarter to three
Would you lock the door?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four?
Paul and I on the other hand were just messing about in our dancing as I faked thinking about all the questions he was singing. You know I do not think I had this much fun since I was kid, before my mom told me the importance of becoming a lady.
oo oo oo oo oo oo oo oooo
You'll be older too, (ah ah ah ah ah)
Paul pointed at my gray hair and I simply stuck out my tongue at him, in which he replied the same before smiling at me.
And if you say the word,
I could stay with you.
He hugged me tightly making me squirm in arms before getting away from his grasp and ran off to hide from him. Sadly he was right behind laughing at me as we practically played hide and seek in the submarine.
I could be handy mending a fuse
When your lights have gone.
Finally at long last all of the hair and beards began shrinking and putting us back to normal, but that didn't stop Paul from trying to serenade to me with the song.
You can knit a sweater by the fireside
Sunday mornings go for a ride.
Doing the garden, digging the weeds,
Who could ask for more?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four?
The guys laughed at my escape attempts while Uncle Fred on the other hand just shook his head and smiled at me every time we caught eyes.
Every summer we can rent a cottage
In the Isle of Wight, if it's not too dear
We shall scrimp and save
Grandchildren on your knee
Vera, Chuck, and Dave
"Why would I ever name a child Chuck, or allow my grandchild to be called that?" I asked him.
"Oh so you are considering the grandmother life, are you?" Paul asked.
"Pfft, of course when you are bored out of your mind, you can't help but wonder." I told him before I went over to Uncle Fred and danced with him.
Send me a postcard, drop me a line,
Stating point of view.
Indicate precisely what you mean to say
Yours sincerely, Wasting Away.
"Hey, let us have a turn." Ringo demanded as he cut in.
Along did the others cut in to have a dance with me.
Give me your answer, fill in a form
Mine for evermore
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four?
Whoo!
At the end I was sitting on a chair, resting my legs and catching my breath as the guys laughed.
"Well, correct me if I am wrong, lady and gentlemen, but would you agree that we have been passing through the Sea of Time?" John asked us.
"That would explain a few things, yes?" Ringo asked.
We nodded in agreement.
Ringo sighed. "Well I'm glad I'm not young anymore… or was it old?"
"We will never know, Ringo." I told him. "We will never know."
A/N: My mother and I had a laugh of a time; my niece was born July 7 just like Ringo lol. I hope when I have my kid that they are either born on one of the other boys’ birthdays as well. Either way one of my kids is gonna be named after them.
