HOWL PALADEIN'S POV (one of Astrid's dragons)

It was rare for us to gather in one place in Fevia Attero. Besides being busy with our duties and responsibilities as the guardians of the sacred trains—managing hundreds of disciples, traveling to different worlds, attending banquets, participating in military meetings, and even visiting military bases—we also hated each other, and I couldn't bear to see their mocking faces.

But we had to do this meeting, and we couldn't just fail to hear anyone's opinion about her situation and our fate tied to us.

As dragons in Fevia Attero, we are fully aware that our world is the most powerful—no world is above us. The thought of our lives being fated to a woman who was not born here could pose a conflict for us. We could abandon her or ignore the prophecy, continuing our lives in Fevia Attero.

Why do we have to devote our lives to her? Us, the powerful and sacred dragons of Fevia Attero?

It was simple to turn our backs, but the three dragons and I were born, grew up, and lived with the knowledge that a goddess from Nemetio Spiran would claim us, that no matter how we denied her—in our dreams, hearts, and souls—she was there. Her name is Astrid, a goddess from a mirror who might lift our curse.

In the end, we learned to accept her and wait for her arrival for answers, and we, the proudest dragons of Fevia Attero, bowed to her.

I sighed as I sauntered through the long hall of the Castle of the Wind.

I had purposely arrived late to grow more on them. I grinned, eager to see how their outrageous, filthy faces would welcome me.

With my fancy-colored cape draped on my shoulders, my dangling earring, and my usual confidence, I pulled open the fusuma sliding door with its intricate layers of glass panes. With my sweetest smile, I greeted them. "What a pleasant morning, dearest friends. It has been years since I last saw you."

I was surprised they weren't killing each other yet. I couldn't help but be undeniably touched by their appreciation for waiting for me.

I was about to open our conversation since I was well aware of how terrible they were in this situation, but Coal stood impatiently from his chair, hands pressed on the table with his eyes as if about to kill me.

"Don't you think it's better to kill him instead?" he said through his gritted teeth.

"Sure. Kill him," I quickly answered.

But in a quick moment, I found myself against the wall—being pinned by the idiot who smelled like smoke just like his power with his filthy hands on my expensive suit—crumpling my perfectly ironed collar.

This is getting ridiculous.

But I didn't even struggle against him. I even allowed him to do whatever he wanted, looking unalarmed with my situation.

Seeing how I took his annoying welcome as if unbothered, I could see the visible veins on his hands, forehead, and even his neck. Should I just pop those veins to kill him first?

His eyes narrowed with my reaction, and to annoy him more, I raised both of my hands submissively.

Bakit naman ako matatakot sa kanya? I am the most powerful dragon, and the handsomest, which I heard somewhere from Nemetio Spiran.

"Go on. Kill him. Don't you think the goddess who owned us will let you live after killing her lover? What is his name again? Ro—" I trailed off.

I tilted my head. "He was just asking some details about our trains."

Coal's eyes widened. "You even gave him details about our trains?! You idiot Howl! Our train is the pride of this world!"

The wind and the water dragon were casually seated from their prospective seats while peacefully drinking their teas. Great!

"Y-you! You're always the disappointment! A disgrace!"

"You shouldn't have saved him then, Ares. You should have let him die when their kingdom was under attack if you're planning to kill him right now."

"Oh, you saved him?" I clapped, pretending that I wasn't aware of it.

"That was a fucking mistake! What the hell is wrong with him, and he can't even pull the goddess out of that fucking mirror? Can we enter inside it?" tanong ni Coal.

"That didn't cross my mind," I whispered.

Marahas niya akong binitawan. Unlike the wind and water dragon, I call Ares 'Coal' since he smells like a coal.

"Go, get the damn mirror or fucking talk to her mate!"

Napangiwi ako. "But I can't even remember his name. Robi? Rodulf? Randolf? Ronaldo? Rose? Rowan? Roman?"

When both of their hands glowed with their eyes, I took a step back, grimaced, and held my hands submissively—playing like the weakest prey to annoy them more.

I rolled my eyes and straightened myself. "Of course. I'll go find Rosh. The luckiest and the most miserable vampire in Nemetio Spiran."

I turned my back and waved them goodbye.

"Tell him not to get killed. After all, he's an important offer to our goddess."

I chuckled. "Of course. He's going to be our goddess's precious pet."
