Chapter 4:

You just finished dinner with the rainbow. You walked around the corner after a long night. All you wanted to do was sleep.

You collapsed on your bed, exhausted. You quickly fell asleep, but a few hours later you were awaken by a knock.

You got up from your bed and glanced at the clock by your bunk. 2:13 AM. You yawned and opened the door, and saw Wash.

"Wash? What are you doing awake?" You scolded in a whisper voice. Wash sighed,

"Tucker and I got into a fight earlier so I was wondering if I could stay here." Wash said quickly, his cheeks light red in the darkness.

You bit your lip but agreed, and you opened the door wider so he could come in. His shoulder gently brushed past you. God, he must be freezing.

As if he read your mind, Wash said, "He stole all the sheets." Your mouth formed into an 'o' shape.

You yawned once again and climbed in bed with Wash. Wash being half asleep already, wrapped his arms around your waist. You paused but shrugged it off, he probably did this with Tucker.

When you woke up, it was already 9:26 AM. You turned around, only to see Wash smiling at you like an idiot. The sunlight reached his face, making him look godlike and his lips were a pale pink.

You gave him a small smile back. Wash quickly pulled you closer, his arms still wrapped around your waist.

"Isn't this wrong? I feel like I'm using everybody, as if I'm a slut." You said, your voice breaking. The past days, all these boys were over you and you felt like a whore. (A/N: You aren't btw, you're fab ❤️)

Wash's eyebrows furrowed, "Your aren't a slut if you just have true feelings for a lot of people, (y/n)." Wash stared at you with his azure blue eyes.

"But you left me for Tucker." You whispered. Wash frowned,

"The thing is that... I love both of you. I love Tucker, and I love you. It's complicated because I don't want to hurt Tucker or you."

Wash sighed heavily, biting his lip. You hesitated at first before leaving a soft short kiss on his lips. You pulled away before he could respond.

He cupped your face gently, "Do you need time?"

You smiled sadly, "Yes Wash. I need time."

And with that you left your room.

Wash's POV:

I understood that (y/n) needed time. Hell, I'm the one who broke up with her so I shouldn't even be sad. Well, I am anyways.

I slammed my fist on the door before leaving her room. God damnit! You had to fuck things up Wash! I put my head in my hands. Carolina walked by, but she paused and walked over to me.

"What's wrong Wash?" Carolina said, concerned. She was always like my big sister in Project Freelancer. I guess that hasn't left her yet.

"I- I keep messing things up with-" I was cut off by Carolina.

Carolina arched an eyebrow, "Tucker and (y/n)?"

I nodded, running a hand through my hair as I frowned at her. Carolina sighed in thought,

"Well the best advice I can give is, try to make Tucker like (y/n). And vice versa. That's what York said before." Carolina chuckled sadly as she thought of York.

"Okay. Thanks C." I said. She winced at the nickname Church gave her, but gave me a smile. "No problem, David."
