Dance Dance.....And The Revolution

The show finally ended after an amazing four and a half hours. I was drained from all the excitement but Joey on the other hand was still buzzing as I dragged him back to the tour bus with Tony leading the way. He couldn't sit still and I felt like if Joey kept on jumping up and down he was going to rip my arm off.

"Carly! Carly! Did you see the lights shine off of dad's glitter suit! It was was so cool! And when he played that riff solo on Let's Get Crazy! Oh my gosh it was-"

I had to stop him before he lost gravity and floated to space.

"I saw buddy! Calm down before you throw yourself into an asthmatic fit! You act like you were just at three other cities and didn't see him perform before!" I said to him with a smile.

"I know but it's so cool seeing him do it all the time! Don't you like seeing what he does on stage?" Joey asked with a Big beaming smile on his face.

Now I love this little guy with all my heart but I was already over this trip before it even got off the ground. I always told myself to never lie to Joey even if it would hurt his feelings but as elated as he is right now I couldn't rain on his happiness.

"Yeah! Yeah JoeBoy! It's nice to see what Daddy does when he's touring. But....buddy he does the same show the whole time. Nothing really changes."

He never lost the sparkle in his eyes and his smile never dropped.

  "Uncle Morris performed in Detroit!"

Damn. Smart kid. Nothing gets past him. So he caught a slight difference in one show! Big deal! I'm sure I'll get him next time.

"Well then you should know that was just one show!" I said to him as I stopped down to his level.

"Well then you should know that the tour ends at home! It's gonna be right outside of First Avenue and it's gonna be a three day dance party. Right Tony?"

He and Tony looked up at each other and gave the celebratory fist bump then turned and looked at me with a big grin. Little rat! He got me. I should have known he had Tony on his side.

"Whatcha gotta say now Carly?" Tony snickered.

The doors to the bus opened and Tony stepped to the side.

"Oh shut up Tony before I have you fired." I huffed.

Tony just took his head and laughed.

"You know you can't fire me little girl." I heard him say as he helped my brother on the bus.

"Yeah Carly you can't fire Tony!" He said.

"And why not? He works for us!" I snapped as I swung my pony tail in their direction as I turned to face him.

"'Cause Tony's legit! Too legit to quit!" Joey said as he crab walked into me laughing."

"No more old school for you buddy." I replied as I laughed at him for looking so crazy.

"You know you're wrong about something Carlz." Tony said as he closed the doors once the bus driver was finally situated.

  "Yeah? What about?" I asked.

"That I work for you." He said as he approached me.

He stopped down to me and we were nose to nose and he was staring me down like I was his own child.

"I work for your old man. You my dear don't pay me!"

He plucked me in my forehead then walked away while Joey climbed in the chair and laughed at me.

"Oh be quiet blondie." I sneered as I sat down in the seat and put on my seatbelt.

The bus began to pull away from the stadium and I was instantly telling the bus driver to stop.

"What are you doing you bozo! You're not supposed to pull off without my father what's with you! Tony! This guy is leaving dad!" I shouted.

The bus came to a stop immediately and Tony came bursting out of the bathroom like he was ready to fight.

"What's going on?!?!?" He asked worried.

"Carly said that we're leaving dad!" Joey replied.

"Who hires this guy?!?!? The Pope?!?!?!" I asked angrily.

"I'm sorry miss Nelson but you dad gave me orders to go on ahead without him." The driver said in a panic.

"When you you speak to him?" Tony demanded.

"I-I didnt! It was this strange text that said He wants you to drive to this address and not to be late with the children. I guess it's a hotel! I've never been to this address before! I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare the children."

Tony had already approached the driver and took the address from him as well as looked over the text message. Once he checked things out his concern had subsided and handed the bus driver back both his phone as well as the small sheet of paper with the same address from the message. He placed his hand on the drivers shoulder and smiled.

"All good man. Sorry about that." Tony said.

The bus started up again and Tony made his way back to me.

  "What's going on? Where's Daddy?"

"Your dad is fine. He's not riding with us because he already went ahead with your Uncle Andre. We're going to meet with them in a few minutes."

  "Yeah but where is he?"

"Don't worry yourself silly Carly! Everything is fine I promise you. You're going to be very surprised when you get there that's for sure. Especially this little guy over here." He said as he gave Joey a noggin.

Joey giggled and squirmed down in his seat as the bus began to pick up speed. We didn't even get that far away from the concert venue and we only rode a few miles away when the bus came to a stop in front of a big tall building.

"The studio. That's......where he wanted us to be.....a stupid....studio." I said flatly as Joey took off his seatbelt.

"Come on Carly! Daddy has a surprise for us!" He said pulling me out of my seat and dragging me down the aisle off the bus.

"I bet he is." I huffed.

"Stop being such a drama teen girl and get on off this here bus!" Tony joked.

All I could do was roll my eyes and let Joey pull me along for the lame ride. As we were making our way to the glass doors Uncle Morris was waiting just outside.

"Well come on now! Ya daddy don't like waiting for nothing and you know he has a short fuse when people are late." He said.

"We're not people. We're his kids." I groaned.

"Well exsqueeze me! Miss Moody! Who pooped in your pudding!"

"Where is everybody Morris?" Tony asked.

"Right down the hall. Come on Joey! This is more your speed anyway." Morris hissed at me as he stuck out his tongue.

"Uncle Morris you're such a child! Now I see why my dad has a migraine whenever you come over." I snapped back.

The look on his face was the most priceless thing I've ever seen. He looked like he was ready to collapse on the floor. He and my dad have been friends for a long time and he knows he can be annoying but he wasn't expecting me to know about it. I started laughing as he stood in the middle of the lobby floor holding Joey's hand confused. Tony was behind him and pushed him along while he was still holding on to Tony's hand.

"It's alright man. She's in....a mood." Tony joked.

"I heard that!" I shouted back.

The elevator bell sounded and my dad stepped out looking like a Willy Wonka golden ticket.

"Well don't you look like a gold bar of treasure!" I snickered.

My dad threw me some of his famous side eye and shook his head.

"Carlyn. You're pushing it. Where's Joey?" He asked.

"He's back there with Uncle Morris and Tony being bored to tears."

"No I'm not! I'm right here!" I heard him say as he ran up to hug him.

"Hey buddy! I have something to show you! Come with me." Daddy said as he took his hand.

"What is this big surprise thing you wanted to show us?" I asked.

We went over to a Big brown door and Daddy pushed them open and there they were standing right in front of us with Uncle Dez.

"IT'S THE REVOLUTION!!!!!" Joey exclaimed as he jumped up and down.

He wasted no time and hugged Wendy and Lisa. So this is what he had up his sleeve. Good on ya dad. Now he'll never get Joey to sleep before sunrise.
