The Lab

(Boii I just watched the new Star Wars The Force Awakens, and like Bruh

I genuinely ship Kylo Ren and Ray XD)

Geno looked at the note and frowned, his eye skimming across the messy handwriting slowly.

"Do any of you know what he wants to show us?"

"Nope!" They all said in unison.

Geno sighed loudly and glanced at Reaper sceptically, debating with himself whether it was a good idea or not.

"Ugh fine...Its not like I have anything better to do." He glanced at Tori. "No offence..."

She smiled and nodded. "None taken Geno." She then turned her attention to the others, glancing over at where Nightmare and Cross had been forced to stay, Nightmare not being allowed any closer because of his corrupting aura. The two of them seemed to be talking, Nightmare smirking while Cross' face steadily turned a dark shade of purple.

Tori sighed, returning her attention to the small group of skeletons in front of her. "Just...Just be careful..."

Blue giggled. "We will be. Besides, Ink is literally the definition of careful when it comes to stuff like this."

"I am not!" Ink cried, glaring at Blue.

Blue rolled his eyes and Dream snickered. "You really are."

Ink huffed and looked to the side. "I'm not..." He muttered.

Error laughed and tilted his head to the side. "Awww, poor Inky– Shit Ink! I meant Ink! Ink!" Errors face flushed and he looked away quickly.

Ink's face had also been overtaken with blush. "I-Inky?!"

"I mEaNt InK!" He yelped, his voice glitching.

The others were all laughing their heads off, finding the whole scenario hilarious.

Error growled. "I hate all of you..."

Dust smirked. "But you loooovvveee In–!"

Error tackled him and growled. "Say one more word. I dare you."

Dust snickered but took his threat seriously, going limp under Error, tapping his foot boredly.

Killer looked over at Tori and smiled apologetically. "Heh, sorry about them. Well...sorry about all of us. Well leave you alone now."

Tori smiled. "No Problem, but thanks for the apology anyway."

Reaper sighed and got to his feet before holding out a hand for Geno to take and help him up. Geno looked at it for about a second before simply slapping it away with a growl. "I can get up by myself you know."

Reaper looked down, an expression of hurt flashing across his face before it turned back to the usual emotionless cold stare.

Geno stood up and walked over to Ink and the others, a bored expression on his face. "Okay lets get this over with..."

Ink nodded and looked back over at Nightmare, who started walking over, ignoring the furious outrage from Tori about how his negative aura would corrupt her beautiful garden.

He simply rolled his eye at her and smirked before opening a portal that lead out to the pathway that travels up to Sci's lab. "Calm down Goat Lady. Imma be here for like thirty seconds, stop acting like my presence is going to kill you."

Tori was going to answer back to him again but stopped when she saw Cross' expression. It was hard and cold, challenging her to talk shit about Nightmare one more time. She went silent.

Ink smiled at Tori before jumping through the portal, Dream and Blue following close behind. Killer, Dust, Horror and Lust all scrambled through next, leaving Geno and Reaper, along with Nightmare and Cross still in the garden.

Nightmare looked at the letter, which he'd taken off Ink earlier. "Yup we've got everyone."

Cross smirked. "Good."

Nightmare nodded at him before Cross walked through the portal with him, now leaving only Geno and Reaper to come through.

Reaper glanced at Tori and smirked. "Welp, cya Tori."

Before she even had time to answer, Reaper had grabbed onto Geno's wrist and pulled him through, the portal instantly closing behind them.

Tori looked at the spot where they had once been and sighed, alone with her thoughts once more.

On the other side, the twelve skeletons stood in the dying light, the setting sun casting an orange glow over their surroundings and darkening the shadows that came from the dark spruce trees that led down the path to get to the lab entrance.

Ink looked around, shivering slightly. "Lets just hurry up and find out what he wants..."

Nightmare took the lead, leading them down the old path, Cross close by his side.

Ink and Error followed behind, the two of them glancing about warily as they walked.

Horror, Lust, Geno and Reaper followed in a four after them with Blue, Dream, Dust and Killer bringing up the rear.

Dust glanced at Killer "How much do you want to bet that whatever Sci wants to show us is either going to be bad, kill us, or effect us badly?"

Killer sighed and looked up at the cold grey walls of the lab as they drew steadily closer. "A lot of money..."

They finally reached the door and Nightmare knocked on it, the sound was heard echoing from the inside of the lab, followed by silence, making everyone shiver.

Error stepped forwards and knocked on the door again, seeing if that would cause a reaction.

A minute passed and nothing happened.

Just as Error went to knock for a third time a heavy metal clunk rang out and the door slowly opened a crack, the painful sound of iron scraping on iron made the others cover their non-existent ears and wince.

Error looked through cautiously, only seeing black. "Uh...it's just darkness..."

Nightmare huffed, pushing past him and walking through. Being practically nocturnal, Nightmare's night vision was about ten times better than anyone else's.

He walked forwards, headed for the chunky light switch on the wall. He reached it and glanced around before switching it, with some stubborn difficulty.

The lights above him flickered and fizzed before flashing on, casting a creepy light over the room.

The others slowly and hesitantly stepped in, staying close to each other. Cross immediately sprinted over to Nightmare, staying close behind him once he got over, also clearly feeling scared.

Nightmare wasn't scared, just freaked out a bit by the whole lab setup. Error was the same.

Dream and Blue stuck close to Killer and Dust, their faces etched with worry and fear, obviously scared.

Killer placed a comforting hand on Dreams shoulder and Dust held onto Blue's wrist gently, the two of them comforting the smallers.

Ink was trying to look brave, walking round the room with a straight face. But whenever the smallest noise rang out, he was on edge, his eyes flashing to warning symbols. He had his paintbrush by his side, and though he would never admit it, he was clearly staying close to Error's side.

Lust had a death grip on Horror's arm, looking around nervously, like a cornered animal. "C-Can we go n-now?" He stuttered, shifting closer to Horror.

Error rolled his eyes. "Don't be a wimp. We only just got here. Sci's an innocent nerd, not some crazed kidnapper."

At that precise moment a static cackle emitted from up the dusty corner from the old speaker.

Everyone froze.

"Are you sure about that Error?" The voice asked, a seemingly menacing tone to their voice.

Error growled and looked around. "Sci? If this is a game it isn't funny! Come out now and just show us what your so excited about!"

The voice laughed again. A deep, cunning laugh. "You don't get it do you? This is the surprise..."

Before anyone could even react, Blue let out a shriek of fear and fell over.

"Blue?!" Dream and Ink cried, instantly rushing over to their friend.

They had almost made it when something happened. A hatch opened beneath Blue, and something dark wrapped around his waist. Blue stayed suspended in the air for a moment before plunging into the darkness, the hatch slamming shut behind him.

"BLUE?!" Ink and Dream yelled, their eyes wide with shock and fear.

Another shriek came from their right and they all turned just in time to see a hatch open up beneath Lust and something drag him down.

"LUST!" Horror yelled, lunging forwards.

It was already too late.

"Wh-What's happening?!" Ink stuttered, backing up a bit.

Killer growled, eyeing the floor around the other skeletons. His eyes widened as he saw the floor beneath Dream shift. "DREAM LOOK OUT!"

He lunged forward and tackled him out of the way just as the hatch opened, saving Dream from falling down.

Dream shook and clung to him, terrified. "Th-Thank you..."

Killer stood up and pulled Dream to his feet. "It's okay..."

Suddenly Geno let out a yelp. "It's got me! It's got me!"

Reaper panicked as he saw something dark wrapped round Geno's ankle. He quickly reached out for him but he'd already been yanked back, into the jaws of a hatch, just like Blue and Lust had been.

"Shit." Error muttered, looking at the ground beneath his feet.

"E-Error..." Ink whimpered.

Error quickly turned, just in time to see the floor beneath Ink before it opened. Error reacted quicker than he thought possible and grabbed hold of Ink with his strings, tugging him over and catching him before he could fall down the hatch.

Ink clung to him, trembling in fear of what had almost happened.

Nightmare backed up, growling. "Head for the corners off the rooms!"

The others immediately followed his order and scrambles their way over to the edges.

Dream, who had been in the middle of the room, let out a terrified screech as one of the dark things shot up from a hatch and wrapped itself round his waist. Killer and Ink lunged forwards for him, but he'd already disappeared, dragged kicking and screaming down the hatch.

"INK!" Error yelled at he smaller, frozen in shock as he watches two of the dark things wrap round Ink's ankles, sending the smaller crashing to the floor before being dragged across the floor, his fingertips desperately digging into the wood with no success. He disappeared down a hatch as well.

Everyone went silent for a moment before a small whimper rang out.

"N-Nightmare..."

Nightmare quickly turned around and froze upon seeing one of the black things snaking it's way around Cross' ankle and up his leg.

Cross looked terrified, his eyes wide, body shaking with fear for what was about to happen.

"Cross...don't...move..." Nightmare said, slowly edging over to the smaller.

Cross let out another small whimper and shut his eyes tightly, obviously waiting for the sharp tug that would signify his almost certain doom.

Nightmare continued to edge closer, his tentacles twitching behind him, looking passive, but ready to turn aggressive and attack at any moment.

Nightmare stopped when he was literally a metre away from Cross and paused, summoning a bone attack by his side.

Quicker than the others could blink Nightmare stabbed the bone at the thing wrapped around Cross' leg, making a screech ring out from below them. He quickly grabbed Cross with his tentacles and gripped him to his chest protectively, letting the traumatised smaller cling onto him.

Cross was shaking, still scared. He looked up at Nightmare and he and he smiled back reassuringly.

But then before anyone could  even shout a warning...

Cross was torn away and dragged down a hatch into the darkness...

"CROSS!"
