The remaining guys stood there in complete shock of what had just happened. Half of their original group had just been dragged down hatches leading to God knows where by some dark things. This is not what they signed up for.

Error stood there tense, looking at the floor around them. Nothing moved.

They all jumped as a static buzz rang out and the speaker turned live again. "Hehe don't you worry Error~ Phase one is complete, you don't need to worry about falling down any more hatches~"

Error growled. "WHaT hAve yOu DoNE To tHe otHers!?"

Sci cackled again. "Oh don't you worry, they're safe, it's not like I killed them or something."

Horror growled. "Prove it!"

Sci let out a drawn out sigh from the speaker before muttering something incoherent. "Mmm gimme a sec..."

The guys stood there in silence for a moment before terrified voices rang out from the speaker.

Error instantly recognised Ink's and his soul relaxed a bit, having previously being tense. He growled at the sound of how scared the voices were. "Let them go!"

Sci chuckled. "Mmm how about...no?"

Error and the others all growled.

"If you want them back~" Sci purred. "You'll have to come looking for us~"

The speaker went dead, the whole room plunged into silence.

"W-We need to look for them..." Horror said, stuttering slightly.

The others nodded and Nightmare stepped away from the rest of the group and over to one of the many doors, growling before kicking it open. "We'll split up." Was all he said before he walked through and disappeared into the darkness.

"Hell no. I'm not going by myself." Horror said, glancing at the others.

Dust walked over to Horror, Killer following close behind. "We'll search as a three."

Horror quickly nodded and the four of them made a beeline to one of the doors that actually had a small chink of light visible under it.

Surprisingly it was unlocked. The three skeletons shrugged at each other before walking through, their voices fading off into the distance.

Now only Reaper and Error were left in the main room. They stared at each other before nodding, no words  needed. The look in each other's eyes were clear as day.

We stick together. We find them.

Nightmare growled as he walked through the pitch black corridors, not bothering with any of the light switches or flashlights.

Every door that he walked past was checked. If the door was locked, he simply just kicked it open before raiding the room, looking everywhere possible for the six skeletons that Sci had ripped from them.

He growled, muttering to himself as he tried to open yet another locked door. He rolled his eye and stepped back before running forwards and ramming the door, the hinges buckling. The door stayed up.

Nightmare hissed in pain and gripped onto his shoulder before glaring at the lock on the door and stabbing through it completely.

He kicked it open and looked around inside, growling at the sight of all the weird equipment and scientific instruments scattered across tables and shelves.

Walking round slowly, Nightmare scanned the room, looking for something -anything- helpful that could give clues as to what Sci's up to and where he's hidden the others.

"This was supposed to something good." He muttered to himself as he skimmed quickly over a blueprint sheet showing the mechanics for some sort of restrainment case.

He growled, ripping the blueprint to pieces. "Sci you sick creep, what on earth are you planning...?"

His eye darted round the room quickly, checking he hadn't missed anything before  walking out of the room and further along the dark corridor.

Eventually every room down his corridor had been searched, not one of them holding anything useful. He growled and punched the wall, growling.

"This is bullshit."

"You check that one, Killer go for the room there and I'll take this one" Dust whispered as they looked at three doors in front of them.

The two nodded and quickly ran forwards, kicking open the doors, with Dust doing the same with his.

"Mines completely empty!" Horror called. "Just a lone table in the middle with a white cloth covering it..."

Dust frowned as he looked at the room he'd ran into. It was stacked full of large, rotting cardboard crates. "Mines just full of crates!" He called, stepping closer to the first one and nudging it with his foot. A weird scuttling sound came from inside.

"What the...?" He muttered as he leaned down and gripped onto the lid, nudging it slightly.

Dust muttered a quick prayer under his breath before pushing the lid off entirely.

Bad idea.

Instantly thousands of cockroaches tumbled out, like a mini flood.

Dust let out a screech and ran out of that room as fast as possible, slamming the door shut behind him and scrambling over to the room Killer had gone into.

Horror had already joined him, having nothing in his own room.

Killer glanced at him. "Why'd you scream?"

"Cockroaches..."

Killer and Horror both shuddered before turning to look back at what was in front of them.

Dust rubbed his eyes and stepped between the two of them, literally choking as he saw what filled Killers room.

Cats.

Hundreds of cats. They were kept in little cages, most of them asleep. It looked like a cat shop.

"Wow talk about a cat fetish?" Horror muttered, looking at all the different colour and breeder cats in awe.

"Nah that's Nightmare." Killer said as he walked forwards.

"Wait what?!" Dust yelled as he followed Killer. "Nightmare has a cat fetish?!"

Killer slapped him. "No you idiot. I was being sarcastic!"

Dust whined, rubbing his cheek. "Okay, sorry!"

Horror snickered, petting a cat. "Nightmare does like cats though right?"

Killer nodded. "They're the only animal he does like."

Horror snickered and left the cat he had previously been petting and pulled Dust and Killer down the corridor at the end of the room.

A figure stood in the distance.

The three of them automatically slowed, checking the figure out.

"Wait a minute..." Dust narrowed his eyes, scanning the person that had now turned to face them. "Nightmare!"

The others instantly recognised him and ran over, reaching him in a few seconds.

"We're at a dead end?"

He nodded. "I don't think we can progress without Error and Reaper..."

Killer sighed. "Did you find anything useful?"

Nightmare shook his head. "Any luck with you guys?"

"No..." Just a bunch of caged cats..."

Nightmare raised an 'eyebrow'. "Caged cats?"

They nodded. "Yup."

No one said anything for a while after that until Horror grinned suddenly.

"Oh yeah Nightmare, about cats..."

"Error look out!"

Error dived to the side as the heavy shelf of book toppled over, crushing whatever had been where Error was only a few seconds ago.

Reaper skidded round the fallen bookcase to see the glitched skeleton half buried under a stack of heavy hardback books, only an arm, half a leg, and some of his upper body was visible.

"You good Error?"

His search partner gave him a halfhearted thumbs up of reassurance, making Reaper snicker.

Reaper picked his way over the scattered books and leaned down, gripping his hand, ignoring his phobic protests as he tugged him out from under all the books.

Error groaned softly and rubbed his arm, his face slightly scrunched up from pain. "Thanks..."

"No problem..."

Reaper leaned down and picked up one of the books, humming softly in curiosity.

"Safest way to combine hyper-reactive chemicals? Sci's got some boring-ass reading preferences."

Error rolled his eyes and looked around, headed for one of the two doors at the end of the room. He gripped the handle of one of them and yanked the door open.

"What the...?"

Reaper looked up from his book and dropped it, making his way over to Error. "What is it?"

Error took a small step back, letting Reaper see into the room.

It was a hybrid.

Half cat half snake.

It looked up at them with beady eyes, its large cat ears twitching, its tail swaying behind it.

Error shut the door, shaking his head. "Sci's officially gone crazy..."

Reaper nodded, walking over to the other door. "Maybe there's a half dog half bird in here?"

Error snickered. "I hope not."

Reaper reached out for the handle and slowly opened the door. Looking cautious.

It was a long corridor, and at the end, four figures were gathered.

Reaper tilted his head to the side and glanced at Error, he only shrugged in response.

Reaper and Error stood there for a few seconds before sighing and beginning to walk down the corridor, heading for the four figures.

"Hey wait a second..." Error said, narrowing his eyes as he walked faster. "Nightmare! Horror, Dust, Killer!"

The four figures all turned to face them.

Nightmare currently had Horror pinned against the wall with his tentacles, pissed look on his face. Killer and Dust were trying not to laugh as they ignored their friends calls for help.

As soon as Error and Reaper made it over, Nightmare let go of Horror, growling something incoherent at him that made Horror nod quickly before looking at the two innocently. "Hi!"

Error shook his head and face palmed. "Your mentally insane I swear..."

Horror opened his mouth for a response when Sci's voice rang out from the speakers again.

"Hehe so your all here? Good."

The others all growled upon hearing Sci's voice.

"I'm sure by now you'll all be wanting for me to just let the others I kidnapped go, so that you can pull them into your arms and hug them tightly."

No one spoke.

"Don't worry, you'll have that opportunity soon, just not yet. But then again, the least thing I can do is let you see them right~?" He ended with a sharp cackle, a laugh seemingly insane.

Nightmare looked like he was about to yell something when suddenly a loud rumbling rang out, scaring the six skeletons.

They all whipped round to see what they previously thought was a wall opening, rising up slowly.

The guys stood there, unmoving as the door rose fully, revealing what was behind them.

There were six experiment tables at the back of the room, all lined up in a row.

And tied to them...

Blue, Lust, Geno, Dream, Ink and Cross.
